Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 152: Arielle Visiting The Colloseum
Arielle, who just found out about it was quite surprised. She thought Lord Kael would teach him some basic martial arts before going to the stage of touching a sharp object.
Sasha was still a child who might not be wise enough to wield a sword. Arielle was so worried now. She hoped that Sasha wouldn’t get too excited about his new sword that he’d hurt himself or anyone else.
"Is he all right?" asked Arielle worriedly.
"You don’t have to worry, Princess. Lord Kael was always with him to keep an eye on the boy. It’s just that at the beginning of his introduction to the sword... Sasha begged Lord Kael to lend him the man’s sword," Tania explained. "And Lord Kael just gave it away."
She added, "However, when it was in Sasha’s hands, the boy was unable to lift the sword off the ground making everyone in the field laugh out loud. They said Sasha was very cute."
Tania laughed heartily when she remembered the story. This put a smile on Arielle’s face too.
She and her maid bowed respectfully to respond to the two guards who greeted her at the library door. Arielle could imagine what happened. Lord Kael’s and Sasha’s bodies were completely different. Lord Kael was huge, whereas Sasha was only as tall as his ribs.
Arielle couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Sasha struggling to lift a big sword in public.
"The training time isn’t over yet, is it?"
"I think so. Maybe now they have just started their afternoon practice," answered Tania.
Sasha had started training under Lord Kael’s tutelage the day after Ronan had told him at the Cathedral a few days ago. At first, Kael seemed reluctant because the man had almost the same nature as Ronan, which was not used to children.
However, Sasha proved his determination. The boy managed to convince Kael that he could be a great knight to protect Princess Arielle in the future.
Arielle was really touched when she heard that. The girl always asked Tania about Sasha’s condition because she was also busy with her own study. Arielle didn’t just learn by reading books.
Occasionally, she would visit the Cathedral to confirm to Priest Elis about what she had read about the use of mana. It was because one of Queen Northendell’s duties was to manage the Cathedral with the High Priest. She wanted to learn how to do her role properly once she became queen.
Several knights who were in training stopped their activities to greet Arielle when the girl appeared in the field where they were training. From where she stood, Arielle could see Sasha. He was doing his push-ups routine with a sword carried on his back.
"Lord Kael didn’t train him too harshly, right?" Arielle asked worriedly to Tania, who saw Sasha’s sweat start to drip.
The north was a cold place, the temperature there could never make her sweat when she was outside. Seeing Sasha sweating in this cold temperature, Arielle was worried that the boy was pushing himself too hard that he forgot when it was time to rest.
Kael, who saw Princess Arielle’s presence, lowered his arms that were previously crossed in front of his chest. The man lowered his head for a moment then greeted the princess.
"Good afternoon, Your Highness."
"Good afternoon too, Lord Kael."
The man waited for Arielle to reveal her purpose for visiting. However, Arielle’s attention was diverted when Sasha fell to the ground, then immediately smiled widely. Arielle immediately squatted down and helped take the sword from Sasha’s back so that the boy could get up again.
"Are you all right?"
Sasha smiled widely at finally being able to see the princess again after a few days.
"I’m fine, Princess. I am a real man. Don’t worry too much about me."
Behind Arielle, Tania held back her laughter seeing Sasha’s adorable face. Arielle just smiled and gave Sasha’s sword back.
"Don’t push yourself too much. If you’re tired, you can rest."
Sasha shook his head hard.
"A true knight must never feel tired!" cried the boy making several knights around him applaud, making Sasha puff out his chest even more proud of himself.
Kael just watched intently. He was quite impressed by the determination of a child who was not even ten years old.
"Is training that much fun?" asked Arielle.
"Hmm! So much fun! Lord Kael taught me some fighting moves. I always practice in my room diligently because it’s fun!"
Arielle thought she was just worrying about useless things. Even though sweat soaked the boy’s clothes, his big smile proved that the boy really liked his activities. Arielle ruffled Sasha’s hair slowly, then stood back up facing Kael.
"Lord Kael, thank you for accepting Sasha as your disciple. I hope Sasha doesn’t bother you too much."
Kael just nodded.
"Then I will return to my room. I visited just to see Sasha train for a bit."
"Thank you for visiting, Your Highness," Kael replied politely.
Arielle waved her hand to Sasha, who was still sitting stretched out on the ground.
"Thank you for visiting, Princess. I promise to be a great knight to protect you when I grow up!" said Sasha determinedly.
"I can’t wait for it," Arielle replied, making the corners of Kael’s lips, which had been expressionless, curl up.
Arielle left Sasha with Kael to return to training. However, she only took a few steps before her eyes caught the figure of a man with shoulder-length long hair. He wore all green clothes and a green cloth wrapped around his waist.
The man galloped towards the training field. Arielle stepped back slowly when suddenly the stranger stopped right in front of her. Everyone in the field cheered loudly. The surprised Arielle ran towards Kael and hid behind the man’s body.
Sasha, who was surprised, immediately stood up straight. He pointed his sword at the strange man with an imperfect stance. Well, he had just learned it after all.
"What is it-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! A girl on the Colosseum grounds? Kael, you’re getting bolder now, aren’t you?" the man said, making Kael let out a long sigh.
"Lazarus, you came back at the wrong time," Kael responded in an annoyed tone.
