Lord of Myths: I Can Summon and Fuse Divine Powers.-Chapter 78: The library of Babel. (3)
"Pfft, are you really going to attack me with the same thing? Don’t you see I have it too easy to defend myself?" the Ashura asked arrogantly as she shrugged.
Without being aware that Anansi had already found a way to pierce through the barrier.
Anyone in this situation would have said that barrier was unfair, it was completely immovable, impenetrable, how was that going to be fair?
But Anansi wasn’t just anyone, in fact in this situation, the one who had an unfair power and advantage was her, not her opponent.
The witch found the solution quickly, thanks to one of her mystical eyes she was able to do an analysis of the object that was protecting the Ashura, interposing itself between her and the attacks.
She quickly analyzed it as a conceptual barrier, which manifested an aspect of unreality in reality.
A property as impossible as "immovability."
However, that wasn’t a problem without solution, in fact, Anansi found it very simple to solve that problem.
She simply brought a book, where there was a weapon capable of breaking barriers.
It was a simple ontological game.
The barrier couldn’t be broken in a normal way due to being literally unbreakable and immovable.
However, what happened if it came into contact with an object that had an [anti-barrier] property.
Then, it could destroy the structure that kept that conceptual object united.
Her objective wasn’t to break the barrier, but the very property or state of "being a barrier."
If that happened, the properties of immovability and unbreakability would be left floating in the air, without a construct to adhere to, and losing all their meaning, thus returning to fantasy.
Anansi discovered the solution.
She, who had perfectly connected with the Library of Babel, managed to immediately find the book she needed.
The necessary tale flew as if it had a life of its own and positioned itself just above the Ashura.
Then, from it protruded a beautiful metallic golden spear, with inscriptions throughout its structure.
The resplendent weapon suddenly accelerated toward the barrier, accompanied by other attacks.
When the spear’s tip came into contact with the barrier, the spear didn’t bounce or break against the barrier like the rest of the attacks.
Instead, the spear’s [anti-barrier] property activated, destroying the very term of [barrier] from that construct.
By doing so, the barrier stopped being a barrier, and lost its meaning, breaking into hundreds of pieces that in an instant vanished.
Then, the spear followed its course, under the surprised gaze of the Ashura, who could barely react.
The spear accelerated mercilessly piercing through Caligo’s shoulder and perforating her body from top to bottom.
However, what came after was worse since now that the unbreakable and immovable barrier no longer existed, nothing stopped the books’ attacks from reaching the Ashura.
In an instant, the demon goddess of tyranny was hit by hundreds of different attacks.
Fireballs, sonic bursts, electrical currents, metal projectiles, among hundreds of other different attacks.
Just like when she had fallen, the Ashura received all those attacks at once, too confused to understand what had happened.
When her mind had understood the immovable barrier had been destroyed, she was already being riddled by hundreds of attacks.
That left the Ashura perplexed, how had Anansi pierced through the barrier?
Though, it was also true that Anansi wasn’t just any person or someone who could be underestimated.
But even so it was surprising the ease with which Anansi had managed to pierce through her barrier and reach her with her attacks.
Receiving so much damage was dangerous, since while her regeneration was practically instantaneous the Azoth cost required by the act of healing and reconstructing her body was considerable.
And the more Azoth she spent the worse for her, who wanted to accumulate the maximum amount of Azoth possible to corner Anansi.
After all her plan was to buy time while storing large amounts of Azoth.
But now she was in trouble, since escaping from that rain of different attacks was very complicated.
Her body was being destroyed and reconstructed every second by the great barrage of attacks, and if she didn’t do anything, it would be her downfall.
However, thinking of an adequate command at that moment wasn’t simple, much less in that short time frame.
And she couldn’t use "that" command yet either.
The biggest problem in that situation was the little freedom with which she could handle her power because unfortunately for her, that scenario was weakening her powers.
However, sometimes a simple idea was the solution.
"[Bounce]," the demon goddess of tyranny then ordered.
Suddenly, the attacks, both elemental and projectiles began to bounce off her body, as if they were rubber balls bouncing off a wall.
This defied the very laws and logic itself, because even things like fireballs were bouncing. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
This command on the other hand only worked on the attacks that were being thrown or were traveling toward her.
However, the attacks upon bouncing collided with the attacks that followed, leaving the Ashura a margin of escape.
"[Accelerate]," she ordered her body, at that instant shooting out toward one of the shelves. "[Move aside]."
She ordered again, upon doing so, the shelves opened the way to let her escape from that trap.
"[Freeze]," the Ashura then ordered, causing at that moment, Anansi’s body to remain paralyzed.
Taking advantage of that, Caligo rushed and sent a punch at Anansi.
Though it might not seem like it, the truth was the Ashura was extremely strong, much more than she appeared, however, just when her punch was going to impact, her fist deviated.
"Huh?" the demon goddess of tyranny exclaimed confused seeing how her punch curved and returned toward her, impacting right on her cheek.
The powerful blow had been redirected toward her face, where it had impacted with force.
The reason for that was simple, several threads were "woven" around the witch, and these upon coming into contact with the demon goddess of tyranny’s fist, changed the course of her history, making her fist change trajectory and impact on her.
The blow was strong, however, for some reason the Ashura smiled.
She had verified it, her commands work on Anansi, then, there was a very special command she could use.
"[Die]," the Ashura then announced, with a malicious expression on her face.
The Ashura had just invoked death itself into reality.
