At the clothing store.
Jay and Valery have recovered from the embarrassment from earlier and are not both wandering around the clothing store.
This clothing store has a wide variety of clothes displayed and Valery is busy browsing through the dress section.
As for Jay, he’s currently at the far end of the store where a lot of thick clothing such as jackets and hoodies could be found.
Propping a hand on his chin, Jay pondered what he should buy.
"Hmm, which one should I choose?"
Glancing at the busy Valery at the dress section, Jay assessed her for a while.
"Since I’m buying one for her, a hoodie should be good, right? I heard that girls like hoodies."
"But since we’re outside, a jacket should be better?"
Falling into a dilemma, Jay decided to forget and just buy both.
So he carefully picked a jacket and a hoodie for Valery.
At the same time, he didn’t forget to buy one of each for himself before he headed to Valery.
"Did you get what you need to buy?"
Finding him walking towards her, Valery looked at him and asked.
Then, her eyes landed on the bunch of thick clothing on his hand.
Nodding, Jay answers her question.
"Yeah, I already got it. How about you? Did you find anything you like?"
Valery shook her head in disappointment.
"Not really. They have quite a variety of designs here but I didn’t find one that I really like."
"Oh, then, would you like to take a look around more? Maybe you’ll find one if you look thoroughly."
Valery declined his suggestion.
"No, it’s okay. I don’t really need to buy one. Anyway, if you already got what you need, let’s pay it at the counter?"
Jay nodded and the two of them headed to the checkout counter.
"Hello, just these please."
Greeting the female staff, Jay placed jackets and hoodies on the counter.
"Okay, sir. Please just wait a second."
Saying that, the staff immediately started processing the checkout.
But for some unknown reason, Jay noticed that the lady behind the counter keeps on glancing at him.
Feeling strange, Jay moved closer to Valery and whispered,
"Val, is there something on my face?"
At his question, Valery inspected his face carefully before shaking her head.
"There’s nothing. Why are you asking?"
Gesturing towards the female staff with his eyes, Jay quietly said,
"That staff over there keeps on taking glances at me. I was worried there might be something wrong with my face."
Hearing that, Valery also stealthily eyed the staff and saw that what Jay said was true.
While the two of them were still curious about this strange occurrence, the female staff finished processing Jay’s purchases.
"That is 2,400 pesos, sir."
Jay took out three blue bills of a thousand each and handed it to her.
"I received 3,000 pesos, here’s your change sir."
The female staff gave Jay his change as well as a paper bag that’s filled with the hoodies and jackets.
"Thank you."
Receiving his things, Jay politely thanked her and was about to leave.
But at this time, the female staff suddenly stopped him.
"Ah, sir, wait!"
"Is there anything more?"
Jay gave her an inquiring look.
The female staff looks a bit shy before gathering her courage and asked,
"Uhm, I wasn’t sure earlier but, you’re Jay, right?"
At the sudden mention of his time, Jay’s eyebrow can’t help but raise.
"Uh, yes, do we know each other?"
He looked carefully at the face of the girl but concluded that he didn’t seem to know her.
The girl also shook her head at this time and said,
"No, I know you but you don’t know me."
"Actually, I’m a fan of yours, Jay. I watched your live stream starting from the time you sang at that restaurant up to the one at the mall the other day."
"You look so handsome, strong, and courageous that day!"
"After watching you for a while, I became a fan of yours!
After saying all that, she looked directly at Jay with bright eyes. The excitement that she’s feeling couldn’t be hidden.
Jay immediately understood after listening to everything she said.
"Oh, so that’s it. A fan of mine?"
Jay muttered, looking a bit lost.
The girl didn’t seem to notice the internal failure inside Jay’s mind and nodded,
"Yes, yes, I’m a fan. Can you take a picture with me?"
Jay managed to gather some of his thoughts back and agreed to her request.
"Uh, sure, sure."

After Jay took some pictures with the girl, he left the clothing store with Valery.
While walking on the side of the road, Valery looked at Jay with a teasing expression.
"Oooh~ Someone’s getting popular now, huh. Look at you, Jay, you’re even meeting fans outside now. Wow, what a celebrity!"
Jay looked back at Valery with a blank face before rolling his eyes at her.
"Whatever, Val," he said.
After a short pause, he added, "I didn’t expect that I would meet a fan so soon though."
"What’s unexpected about that? Your popularity is growing at a fast pace even right at this moment, you know."
"I knew that my popularity was growing, it’s just that... it feels somehow surreal."
Valery stared at Jay for a while and saw the dazed look on his face.
After a short silence, Valery suddenly laughed, attracting Jay’s attention.
"Oh, why are you suddenly laughing now?"
Turning her eyes at him while a wide smile on her face, she said,
"I mean, you’re acting as if that’s the first time you’re meeting a fan."

"What do you mean? Of course, it was indeed the first time!"
This time, it was Valery’s turn to roll her eyes at him.
"Tsk, what are you even talking about? Look, right here in front of you. Am I not a fan of you? Are you not seeing me right now?"
