Valery paused at Jay’s sudden question.

"Teach me?"

Raising her head and meeting Jay’s eyes, she asked with a strange expression.

Jay nodded, 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"Yeah. I should have said it before when my live stream room is still obscure, right? I am working on my own. Providing for all of my necessities and my studies."

"So, to some extent, I am actually experienced when it comes to that."

There’s a smile on Jay’s face as he said that, staring straight at Valery.

Valery’s curiosity was piqued and she asked,

"Is that really something that can be taught or learned?"

"Of course! As long as you’re willing to endure and persevere, it’s not impossible."

Jay immediately said in a matter of factly tone.

Hearing that, Valery stopped for a moment to ponder.

After a few seconds, she turned her attention back to Jay and with a resolute look on her face, she said,

"Alright, I’ve decided. If you can really help me, I will endure it even if it’s hard!"

"Good, that’s the spirit!"

Jay said with a cheerful look.

He was like a mentor who’s proud of his apprentice.

"Anyway, let’s stop talking about sad things and start eating. Look, the ice cream is already melting."

Jay said, pointing at the melting ice cream on the tub.

Valery also wiped away the sadness on her face and joyfully said,

"I guess that just means we should eat this ice cream first, right?"

Taking out two plastic cups, she handed one to Jay and kept the other.

"Here, use this."

"Thank you."

Each of them grabbed a spoon and started scooping up the ice cream on the tub, placing it on their cups.

With the strange mix of melancholy and happiness on their table, the two of them started eating.

Out of everything that Jay brought, nothing was left untouched by the two of them.

They enjoyed the warm atmosphere along with the cool breeze from the sea.

Watching the sun slowly set, dying the whole surrounding with an orange hue, Jay and Valery relaxed on this rare quiet moment.

The sun finally set and darkness descended.

Even though it’s night, the surrounding isn’t dark thanks to the multiple bright lamp posts lighting up the place.

The only dark area around is the sea. But even that looks beautiful because of the soft moonlight glow landing on its surface.

At this time, Jay and Valery are still sitting on their table talking about various stories in their lives.

Despite the difference in financial status of their families, the two of them get along well, laughing at the funny things they did back in their childhood.

"Hahaha, I somehow expected it already but, you’re really a troublemaker when you were younger, huh!"

Jay said, looking at the smiling Valery in front of him.

Rolling her eyes playfully, Valery replied,

"What can I do? I was really energetic back then!"

The two of them looked at each other for a moment before bursting out from laughter once again.

After they recovered, Jay looked at the time and said,

"Well, it looks like it’s about time for us to go back. It’s already 7 PM now."

Hearing that, Valery also glanced at her watch.

"Oh, time really goes by fast when you’re having fun, huh. It felt like we just got here a few minutes ago and now it’s already night time."

Jay chuckled, "Yeah, at least we enjoyed it."

While saying that, Jay already started cleaning up everything on the table.

Seeing that, Valery also helped and the two of them quickly got rid of everything.

Folding the tablecloth, Valery looked at Jay and asked,

"What do you want to do after this, Jay?"

Thinking for a bit, Jay replied, "I’m not sure. It’s already dinner time but I’m already full from what we just ate."

"How about just taking a walk around?" Valery suggested.

"Hmm, that’s not a bad idea. It can also help with digestion."

With a plan in place, Jay threw everything on the nearby trash can except for the paper bag holding the tablecloth, and left with Valery.

The two of them continued chatting about various topics, mainly about the lives they live which is really intriguing to the two of them.

The cool breeze of night could be really cold at this time because it can even reach 21 degrees celsius at night around here.

So while walking, Jay can’t help but notice Valery rubbing her skin with her hands.

She’s only wearing a piece of sundress which couldn’t really shield her from the cold air.

Taking a look around, Jay luckily saw a clothing store just on the other side of the road.

So, he said to Valery, "C’mon, let’s go there."

Before Valery could even react, Jay suddenly grabbed her hand, startling her and causing her to hurriedly pull back by reflex.

"Ah!"

Jay was also startled before he realized his mistake.

After cooly saying that, Valery started walking while pulling Jay’s hand.

Jay stared at Valery’s back while thinking and felt something inside him.

Unknown to him, Valery’s face in front of him is actually pretty red at this time.
