The next morning Ethan woke up to the sound of Scratching on the door of the Petal room. He already knew who these early visitors were. Getting up from the bed. He walked towards the door and unlocked it before opening it allowing for the dogs to enter.

The five dogs quietly entered the room and sat in one line seeing their original owner. Closing the door. Ethan turned to look at PetaI who was still sleeping.

"All of you came huh. You wanted to see her that badly." Ethan said, patting his dog’s head. He didn’t know when his dogs had started to like Petal. They fall for her hard and jump in happiness every time they see her. They must have caught her scent. That’s why they came.

Ethan’s dogs are well trained. She brought them since they were puppies, Selected from the best and purest lineages of their kinds. He trained them to be the best guard dogs. Defender and attackers if needed. That’s why he now started to consider giving them to Petal. So they can watch over her.

The dogs stared at Petal who was laying on the bed. Still sleeping. Ethan noticed that and smiled."She’s tired. Let her sleep for a while." Ethan said to them.

The dogs sat down quietly waiting for her to wake up quietly. Ethan stood up and walked back towards the bed laying down. Supporting his head on his arm. He watched Petal as she slept.

Last night. She held onto him tightly the whole night. Scared and shaking. It took her about an hour to relax and fall into a deep sleep. Ethan never left her. He hugged her all night. Kissing her forehead and cheeks occasionally. Letting her know that he was beside her and won’t leave her.

"They might crush your bones. Be careful with them next time." Ethan said coming to sit next to her. He needs to teach her how to handle and order them.

Petal nodded her head and reached to stroke one of the dogs. Like always the most clingy one was the husky dog. Max. He stepped forward smelling her before he rested his head on her lap.

Petal smiled and reached to pat his head. The other dogs seemed to have gotten jealous of the special treatment that Max was getting from their favorite new person so they moved closer to her. One of them squeezed himself in the small space between her and Ethan to just be close to her.

"Oh. They’re jealous." Ethan warned her by taking her free hand to pat the dog."Always make sure to give equal attention. Just like us, they feel jealous. Dogs are like children when it comes to affection." He explained and instructed.

Hearing what he said. Petal wondered if the dogs think that she likes Max over them. She loves the five of them. "Is it sure that dogs can sense human disability?" She suddenly asked, surprising Ethan.

"Yes. They can sense the differences in you. That’s why they’re overprotective of you. It’s in their nature." He replied pushing her hair back before he pressed a kiss on the side of her head.

Petal wasn’t bothered by the answer she received. She always wanted to know why these dogs loved her when she did nothing to get their attention. Animals are kinder than humans. Unlike some of her students in the school who sometimes call her ugly nicknames. But she never paid attention to them or at least this is what she tries to do.

"Does it bother you?" Ethan asked, seeing the sad look on her face.

Petal looked up at him and shook her head. Suddenly she had an idea. It was still early and she still had two hours before school."Let’s go and have breakfast outside." She suggested.

"If that’s what you wish for. Then it will happen." He agreed. He would never deny her anything. Not when she never asked him to do something for her until now.

The two of them quickly got ready and left the mansion early before anyone noticed them. Ethan took Petal to a famous Cafe for an early breakfast. The two of them enjoyed their breakfast together. It was something Petal had always wanted to do. Since she was a teenager.

He will personally drive her to school every day, Ethan was greedily using the situation to his advantage. Like this, He will be able to be with her most of the time. "Let’s spend this weekend together. Alone. There’s a place I want to take you to." Ethan said, kissing the inside of her palm. Loving the scent of her hand moisturizer.
