I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 92: Fight Against the Tide (5)
"My lord! Another Void Crack appears! Our back! We are surrounded!"
I look in the opposite direction and see another Void Crack appear a few hundred meters away from the fortress. I quickly jump down the tower and shout.
"Sonia! Take care of the people in this area! Jonathan! I need you and your unit to come with me! We will hold them back! Jullian focuses on the monster in front of you! Make sure to watch yourself while I’m away!"
After saying that, I fly in the opposite direction of the monster wave. I slowly land on the ground, put my hand on the ground, and cast a spell.
"[Infinite Swamp!]!"
Just like before, I create a massive swamp to trap the incoming monster. After doing that, I take out another summoning scroll from my inventory and rip it apart. However, I also summon other creatures than just [Mud Piranha] and [Yarroth].
The creatures I summon are [Maneater Kelp], [Mud Golem], and [Yarkul].
[Maneater Kelp] is a plant that eats living beings that live in a swamp. They are living plants that poison anyone who gets near them and slowly kill them. They are an annoying monster to defeat because they are well hidden within the swamp, and the only way to know their location is to use a detection spell, or you get hit by their poison.
Lucky for the player, they are low-level monsters and do not deal too much damage. However, their poison gets stronger if the player does not cure it immediately. A high-level player once tries to see how much the poison can, and to his surprise, it keeps going to the point of matching the healing and potion he used.
Many players decide to ask the dev and learn there is no cap on this monster poison—a perfect thing in this situation. If a strong monster comes and the [Maneater Kelp] manages to poison it, we can have an easier time.
Each scroll I use summons thirty of them, and I use three of them at once. We need it.
The next thing I summon is the [Mud Golem]. They are a defensive trap-type summon that is usually used to defend a guild base. They can only be summoned when a certain requirement is fulfilled. There are two requirements. The first one is there should be a swamp or large patch of muddy area, and the second one is to ensure that the swamp or muddy area is deep enough for them to hide. The [Infinite Swamp] have them both.
They have great defensive and HP stats, even bigger than a stone golem, but sadly their speed and attack stats are not as good. However, it is compensated by its ability to throw mud, which decreases the enemy’s speed by half.
They are great at gathering the enemy’s attention, not attacking.
However, that is the reason why I summon them. I leave the attacking part to the [Maneater Kelp] and the [Yarkul].
What is [Yarkul]? They are creatures that look like a crocodile, but they are two times bigger than a normal average adult crocodile. They are faster and stronger as well. However, what makes them deadly is their teeth. It has a paralyzing poison that stuns anything that touches it.
After the player is stunned, [Yarkul] attacks them viciously using its claw and teeth.
With the [Mud Golem] taking all the attention from the monster, [Maneater Kelp] and [Yarkul] will be the ones cleaning the monster.
[Mud Golem] and [Yarkul] have the same number from each scroll. I can summon ten of them per scroll. I rip apart four scrolls for the [Mud Golem] and five scrolls for the [Yarkul].
After that, I nod and quickly return to the wall, where I can see Jonathan and his unit already waiting for me.
"My lord! We are here."
"Good. We will be the ones taking care of the monster coming here. Jonathan, I will make a signal for you guys to release the arrows at the monster. How many arrows do you guys have?"
"We still have seven more quivers full of arrows for each person."
I nod at his answer. A quiver holds sixty arrows, and they are bringing all of it when they get here. This is what I teach them. Bring your own shit so you do not need a long preparation on the battlefield.
Normally, you have someone who will bring your quiver from the armory, but if you bring your own, you are ready and only send someone when the one you bring is gone.
"Jonathan, I need you to prepare to use the pendant I give to you."
"Of course, my lord! I will make sure no monsters get on the wall!"
"I will leave it to you."
After saying that, I can see another group of soldiers arrive underneath me. I can see two people get up to the wall, and when standing in front of me, they quickly salute me.
"Young master, Gwyndolin!"
"Sir!"
I nod and say.
"And you guys are?"
"My name is Fernando Yurlon, young master! I’m the captain of the seventh unit!"
"Mine is Ukar Indrum, sir! I’m the captain of the ninth unit!"
"What can you guys lead? And why are you here?"
"We are the hit-and-run tactic unit, young master!"
"The same as his unit, sir! Lord Verqur, ask us to obey your command! "
I nod and think for a few seconds before saying.
"Very well."
I look at Jonathan and give him a [Pendant of Golemancy]. Two hundred golems should be enough for Jonathan.
"Jonathan, change of plan. Use that pendant immediately, activate it, and prepare to use your other thing when the monster is climbing the wall."
I then look at the two captains and say.
"While Jonathan takes the vanguard, I need you two to attack the enemy from the side and run away when they start focusing on you."
I can see them nod in understanding.
"What about your talent? Tell them to me in quick detail."
"I have a talent called [Asura], young master. It lets me have four more arms that copy anything I hold."
"I have [Icy Blade] that lets me coat my weapon with ice that freezes my enemy the more I hit them."
I nod at their explanation—a good talent for battle.
"Then I did not need a change of plan. I will not tell you how to command your unit, but I want you to know that you do not need to worry about support. I will be the one taking care of it."
The two of them nod, and I look at the distance. I can see another flying monster appear, and I can only sigh. With Nature’s Guardian busy with the one coming from the back, I need to use Ophiuchus.
I take a deep breath and let my Star Globe float above my head. However, I need some preparation first.
"[Ultimate Magic: Star of the Beginning]!" 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
After done with that, I quickly cast the Zodiac Series spell.
"[Zodiac: Aries]! [Zodiac: Taurus]! [Zodiac: Gemini]! [Zodiac: Cancer]! [Zodiac: Leo]! [Zodiac: Libra]! [Zodiac: Virgo]! [Zodiac: Scorpio]! [Zodiac: Sagittarius]! [Zodiac: Capricorn]! [Zodiac: Aquarius]! [Zodiac: Pisces]!"
Like always, a massive zodiac circle appears with a symbol of a snake in the middle of it.
"[Forbidden Spell - Zodiac: Ophiuchus]"
A few seconds later, I can see the giant blue snake appear in front of me. I smile at the beautiful creature and pat its head.
"I’m sorry to call you this quickly, Ophiuchus."
I can hear it hissing happily. I smile a little and say.
"Thank you."
I don’t know what it was saying, but I got some kind of feeling from it, just like what I get from Nature’s Guardians, Fenrir and Okami.
"Then I will leave the flying monster to you, my friend."
After hissing at me once again, Ophiuchus flies at the incoming monster and releases a blast of ice beam at the enemy, freezing many flying monsters on Ophiuchus’ way.
"My lord! The Golem is ready! I already use my talent to control them."
I look at Jonathan and smile.
"Good. Put them on the front and get ready to greet the monster."
"Yes, my lord!"
I can see the army of golems move at the same time. Jonathan’s talent is quite terrifying. Not only can he control a nonliving object, but he also has unparalleled multitasking when he takes control of something. He can see the area around the object he controls and process that information.
Can you imagine having two hundred golems that work for you, and they can do a complicated thing instead of only a generic order? You will have a most productive worker.
I once tried to watch three shows at once and already have a headache because of it. Here Jonathan has a vision of two hundred golems at once.
I can only shake my head at how bullshit talent is. Some of the talent can be outright useless, but some of it is broken, like Jonathan.
I look at the two captains and say.
"Fernando. Ukar. Move your soldiers out the wall and prepare to attack when I give you a signal."
"Yes, young master!"
"Yes, sir!"
I nod and look at the distance. The fight continues, and my only hope is that there will not be too many casualties.
