Jyera World Apocalypse-Chapter 95: The First Apocalypse Part 4
Lucien was speechless at the display of power and cooperation from the group of "sailors".
Six mutant humans controlling the Universal Force of wind took turns unleashing powerful gusts from their hands against the ship’s makeshift sails, with some simply controlling the air currents themselves to their advantage.
Meanwhile, a small group of humans used an unknown type of green Universal Force to strengthen the sails and masts, preventing them from tearing apart under the force of the winds.
Two other level 3 mutant humans covered the ship with a barrier, which, according to the children, made the ship invisible and also protected it against attacks from weaker mutant birds and fish.
One man alone created fog in a small area inside the ship, which was then controlled and expanded by three users of the Universal Force of water, creating a giant fog perimeter around the ship as they moved further and further away from the Port of Gran Luz.
The last group, also full of users of the Universal Force of water, included some mutant humans capable of controlling the weather. Manipulated the tides to the ship’s advantage, as well as controlling the seawater beneath the ship, preventing any floating in the surroundings, and also preventing anything in the depths from seeing them.
Lucien ran to the bow of the ship and saw that the ship wasn’t sailing; it was more as if it were gliding on the water.
"Incredible!"
"Haha, isn’t it?"
The same arrogant boy from before approached Lucien and boasted, as if all of this was something he himself had orchestrated.
"That’s not all..."
"Are there any more mutant humans I’m not seeing?" Lucien asked.
"In a way, yes... There are still 20 more level 3 mutant humans who can fight in an emergency, and 10 more who are ready to propel the ship at an even faster speed if the ship needs to escape from something!"
"Ohh"

The ship’s journey from the Port of Gran Luz to the capital of Jyera, Aethoria, continued. Days passed, while Lucien distracted himself daily playing or talking with his new friends on board. It was as if, during those few days, there was no more danger, and the boy had become a child again, without duties, without worrying about the lack of food, lack of water, cold, and the dangers of the apocalypse...
The sea scenery was always the same, with the fog created by the mutant humans blocking everything. Lucien wanted to see if he had any chance of seeing one of the so-called Leviathans, but one of the sailors warned him that not seeing them was also a good thing.
So all he could do to satisfy his curiosity was to ask the men who had personally seen these level 4 monsters...
"It was just a giant hull!" said one of the men.
"Yes, we were fishing and trying to find some live animal not contaminated by the ZY virus. Tired, we thought we had found an island, but to our despair, it was actually just the shell of a giant turtle!"
Lucien opened his mouth in shock at the thought.
"What did you do?"
"Well, what else? We fled and returned to the ship..."
"That was before winter arrived, right?"
"Yes, but even back then, we already had some talented people who had reached level 3 and learned to use the Universal Force... Besides, the monster seemed to be sleeping when we approached, so we were lucky..."
"And the other one?"
"Hilbert was the one who saw it..."
One of the men said without going into much detail, seeming bored and annoyed by Lucien’s questions. But the other sailor continued to tell the story as if he enjoyed sharing the monster tales:
"Hilbert can fly very fast; if it weren’t for his wife and daughter aboard the ship and the many dangers in the skies of Jyera, he could fly to Aethoria in less than two days... He’s our scout, and he’s also the one who mapped the territories of these monsters. According to him, the only Leviathan he personally saw out of the water was a giant whale."
"Wow!"
"Hilbert said its water jet was so strong it could have enough force to reach the atmosphere!"
One of the men added, but he didn’t know if he was exaggerating the story like a true sailor/fisherman...
"If he only saw one, then how did he manage to map their territory?"
As soon as Lucien asked the question, he realized he had the answer.
"The absence of mutants in the region..."
After all, these cannibalistic mutants would devour anything that came too close to their territories...
As the days passed, the ship sailed through several Leviathan territories. One after another, the ship crossed safely thanks to the experience and teamwork of those on board, and there was no danger or accident they couldn’t handle.
As the days at sea went by, Lucien saw his father less and less, who only returned to their room late at night. When Lucien saw him, he was always wearing a mask and hood covering his face, and spoke much less. As it was cold, Lucien ignored the clothing.
The young Lucien of the memory was distracted by his new friends and the many stories the sailors frequently told about their searches for resources and the new animal breeding they had on board. Therefore, he didn’t notice his father’s abnormalities.
But the other Lucien, watching everything like a keen observer, noticed that each day his father was showing his body less to his son. He also noticed that his father’s movements were becoming slower and slower, his arms and legs were thinner, and he coughed frequently as if he had even caught a cold! Something impossible for mutants above level 2...
And then, one day, when the journey was nearing its end, both the Lucien of memories and the Lucien of observation realized that his father had also become hunchbacked.
Of course, not wanting to frighten Lucien, Lorenzo simply said that he had hurt his back and that it would heal on its own in a few more days...
But then the sea voyage finally ended. Despite the many detours, the ship, propelled by the strength of several mutant humans, finally arrived in the capital Aethoria three weeks after leaving the Port of Gran Luz, but the worst happened on the day the ship docked at the main port of Aethoria.
Lucien’s mother, accompanied by several soldiers and other humans hoping to see their families again, greeted the ship’s crew with great joy. As soon as she recognized Lucien in the crowd, she ran to him, hugging him tightly, and they both cried a lot; after all, mother and son hadn’t seen each other for over two years.
"My baby!"
"Mom!"
Lucien’s father, who walked with difficulty and was still hunched over, followed slowly behind while the pair of son and mother continued to hug and cry. Lucien told his mother many things while she constantly checked his body to make sure he was really alright...
Lucien’s mother finally took her eyes off her son and noticed the old man approaching her.
"Is that..."
"Come on, Dad! Look! It’s Mom! Why are you holding back and haven’t hugged her?"
Lucien’s father finally removed the mask from his face and lifted the hood. The unfamiliar old face revealed shock in both mother and son.
Lorenzo Rivero no longer resembled the handsome, strong hero Lucien had seen daily before this trip. What appeared before him was a wrinkled old man, with completely blind white eyes; his head no longer had his beautiful, long, light brown hair, and was wrinkled and gray. He no longer looked 38 years old, but rather easily 120!
"I’m so sorry, darling... I did everything I could to delay the side effects of the bite, even using all the time I had left..."
These last words seemed to drain all the remaining strength from the centenarian Lorenzo, and he collapsed to the ground, losing consciousness. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"DARLING!"
"DAD!"
As the two ran to Lorenzo, Lucien suddenly tripped and fell to the ground.
His mother turned around, only to see her son also passed out on the floor, his clothes slowly soaking up blood on his shoulder.
Lorenzo was powerful, but even he couldn’t cure the viral infection caused by a mutant bite, and all he did was postpone his son’s death so that his mother could see him one last time. Even if it meant paying the price with her own life.
Lucien’s mother looked on in horror, unsure who to help first: her husband, unrecognizable and dying of old age, or her son, who had lost consciousness, was bleeding from his shoulder, and showed signs of the ZY Virus infection, such as fever, sweating, and tremors...
"NO! HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME!"
Lucien, the observer, was still very emotional upon seeing his mother again, even if it was a memory from the first apocalypse; for him, knowing that she might still be alive in the capital, Aethoria, was enough. But his excitement and joy ended in seconds. As soon as Lucien, in the vision, lost consciousness, the entire vision of the observing Lucien began to darken as if dark clouds were trying to cover the traces of what had just happened.
In the end, all he could hear were the terrifying screams of despair from his mother...
