I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 115: Dinner at Blackmore City
"The Blackmore is yours, my lord."
I smile a little and wave my hand.
"I’m not a lord yet, Lord Jiran."
"But your other title makes you deserve the title of a Lord, my lord."
I can only sigh and nod.
"Very well. Can we come in? We have to take care of the monsters near the city and are rather tired."
"Of course, my lord. We are already preparing a couple of empty buildings for your people."
"Thank you."
"It is my pleasure, my lord. Please follow me."
I nod, and we follow Lord Jiran and his family inside the city, where I can see people welcoming us. Blackmore is the first city I visit other than the Shadowfall city in my noblesse duty. As a mining city, Blackmore City has quite a few people injured from mining accidents, and I need to regrow their limbs, fix their broken limbs and even cure blindness to some of them.
I wave at the people greeting us, and I can see Silva lean over me and says.
"You are really popular, huh?"
Instead of me answering, Lord Jiran, who heard her question, is the one answering that question.
"Lord Gwyndolin is popular in Cunningham County, my lady. Not only because of his healing ability but also because he is the one blessing our land."
"Blessing? Ah!"
Lord Jiran nods in understanding and says.
"Baxter Barony did not feel the full effect of the food shortage, or at least not yet. However, in the center of the Southern Territory... we are starving. Not to the point of dying, but we need to watch over our food intake to the point that we consider eating monster’s flesh. However, that is changed when Lord Gwyndolin comes and blesses our land."
Lord Jiran smiles at Silva and says,
"You must see what he does to the land to react like the Blackmore City people. Lord Gwyndolin standing in the middle of the barren land, just failed to yield any grains for the people with his hand raised high before suddenly light from heaven came and let our land glow. The next thing we know, any plant we planted on that land will grow at a fast rate, healthy and larger than normal."
Silva looks at Lord Jiran for a few seconds before saying.
"I can imagine that. Does the light make the shape of a tree or just a colorful light that dances from the sky?"
"The second one. How do you know?"
Silva smiles a little and says.
"I’ve seen it before, and I can still see it every now and then."
What is that supposed to mean? Hmmm... Oh! Ohhhh. She is talking about her talent. I know when she uses them, and she has been polite in using them because she only uses her talent on me and no one else.
"Really? Has he blessed any land?"
"Oh, nothing like that. He has been using his magic fighting the monsters, and I’m lucky enough to be on his side when he does that."
"Ah, I see."
Before we know it, we arrive in front of two buildings in the middle of the city, where I can see a dozen servants already waiting for us in front of the building. They bow their heads when we arrive, and one of the butlers walks forward toward me and says.
"We will be the ones taking care of your people, my lord."
I nod and say.
"Very well. I will leave it in your hand."
I look at my people and say.
"Alright, people! You guys are dismissed! Take some time off, relax, and eat to your heart’s content."
I hear them cheer, and the five of us, Silva, Sonia, Jonathan, Julian, and me, are the people going to the palace where Lord Jiran is staying.
=//=
The five of us sit inside the dining room of the palace, where the servant is preparing food for us. On the end of the table is Lord Christopher Jiran, and sitting next to him is his wife, Lady Julianna Jiran, and sitting opposite of her is the heir of the Jiran Family, Heir Nathaniel Jiran.
"While waiting for the food to arrive, how is your journey, my lord?"
"Hmmm? We did not have too much trouble on our journey. We only encountered monster waves twice. The first one is the one where the scout had already notified us, and the second one is only a few kilometers from the city. Speaking of the monsters, I want to ask why you have yet to exterminate the monster near the city, Lord Jiran?"
It looks like I used a rather harsh voice because I can see Lord Jiran look at me in shock before grimacing a second later. If not for his first expression, I would think of him neglecting his duty. His first expression tells me that he truly did not know there were monsters in the area.
"I’m sorry, my lord. This is the first time I have heard about this problem. I will make sure to increase the patrol time and make sure not a single monster appears near the city."
I nod my head and say.
"Very well. I will leave it to you and your people to handle this matter."
"Thank you for your trust in me, my lord."
"Don’t mention it, Lord Jiran. You are a loyal vassal, and I will trust your word."
"Thank you nonetheless."
After that conversation, the servant enters the dining room bringing food with them. The dish mostly consists of vegetables and meats. Blackmore is known for their goat meat because of how many mountain goats there are in the area. The city of Blackmore is next known for its bird dishes because they have a bird called the Black Pigeon, a pigeon with black feathers instead of white. The meat tastes more meaty than a regular pigeon, and they are bigger than a regular pigeon.
The servant puts the food on the table, and after a couple of minutes, they slowly walk away from the dining room, leaving only the servant that will serve us wine and beer.
Lord Jiran smiles and says.
"Please enjoy this small feast."

|3rd POV|
After the feast and giving Gwyndolin and his companion a tour, Lord Christopher and Lady Julianna take their heir to the Lord’s Office.
"Do you know what you have done?"
Their son, Nathaniel, looks at his parents and says.
"No. I didn’t do anything wrong."
"You are the one who asked me to let you lead a small group of soldiers in scouting the area two weeks ago. You report back to me saying there is not a single monster in sight, but I just ask the captain who comes with you, and he says on your order that you only need to patrol the outer region of the forest. He even says that there is a monster movement inside the deeper part of the forest, and he expects you to report it back to me. However, instead of reporting the truth, you decide to lie to me and have a chance of killing innocent people. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Nathaniel looks at his father for a few seconds and says.
"So, what?! Everything is still going smoothly, right?!"
"That is not the point, son! It is our duty! Duty as a lord to make sure there is nothing wrong that can hurt the people! Also, do you know how much trouble we will get if Lord Gwyndolin decides to investigate this?!"
"What about him?! He is a young man my age who acts like a lord. All of his achievements are nothing but lies."
"A lie?! Lies?! He is the reason why you can still buy all that alcohol! If not for him and his people, we will be dead! Do you hear me?! Dead! Dead of starvation and from injury! The potion that you stupidly brag you are the one making them is his creation! So when you say he is a liar, many people will come here and kill you! Do you know what’s more? I will let them."
"What? You let people kill your son?!"
"If my son likes you?! Yes! Our family is honored to be given this city to govern. A knight family is nothing more than a family that owns a small island for farming! We are not a proper noble."
"And whose fault is that?! Them! We have been their vassals for two decades, and they did not give us a noble title! We should rebel! Gather soldiers and rebel against them!"
Nathaniel stops talking as his father slaps him with all his strength. The young man fell to the ground, his left cheek red from the slap.
"Banish that thought from your mind, son. If you decide to say more about that, I will be the one killing you instead of the people of Blackmore."
Lord Jarin takes a deep breath and says.
"Get out. I don’t want to see your face any longer. Also... Don’t let me catch you looking at Lady Silvanna and Lady Sonia like that. Lord Gwyndolin gives me enough respect not to kill you on the spot for looking at his daughter and fiance."
Nathaniel gives his father a hateful glare before leaving the lord’s office. The Jiran couple is so busy consoling each other that they do not see a man sitting on the tree branch outside the window. That man is Jonathan, and he has a hateful glare on his face.
