I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 114: Blackmore City
I take Silva to the armory, where she takes light armor. She looks around for a few seconds before picking the light but durable leather armor. It was a multi-layer leather that was held together by studs. This type of armor is usually used by archers and some magicians who just started.
The reason? Magicians usually use robes, not because they are weak but because the fabric is easier to enchant with magic and will help the magician cast spells and give extra protection from the enchantment.
Leather and metal are not really good for enchanting. Leather and metal can only hold one type of enchantment. If someone enchants them above one, the armor can while the magician enchants it. That is why a newbie enchanter, a subcategory of magicians, only does one enchantment because they are afraid of the item exploding. It will hurt them, and the item they destroy will be expensive.
I snap from my thoughts when Silva comes out of the changing room, and I can see one of the servants taking the clothes she was wearing earlier.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes. I’m ready."
"Good. The others are already waiting for us in the barracks."
Silva nods, and the two of us walk to the barracks, where I can see two hundred soldiers ready to hunt the monster around Cunningham County. I can see Sonia, Jullian, and Jonathan already among those soldiers.
Sonia is wearing the new battle armor I gave her yesterday. It was a monk-class battle armor, complete with a gauntlet that could shoot out lightning beams. It was the upgraded version of her previous battle armor.
This armor is what my previous guild mate used in battle. His character is a monk that focuses on Attack Speed and Movement Speed. Because of this, all of his equipment is lightning in nature. Not only will it enchant her speed, but it will also increase any lightning-based attack she uses in battle.
Jullian has the same type of armor. He is wearing armor I have collected in the past. It was a grind armor. What I mean by grind armor is that it was a set of armor that people grind to farm gold and exp in enchanting skill.
This armor is rather expensive for mid-level equipment and has a higher chance of enchanting rate. Because of this, this armor is popular for a non-dedicated player who cannot afford good mid-level equipment. The reason? Many players sell a maximum-level enchantment of this armor in the auction house.
I’m among those people who sell this armor in the auction. I still have at least two hundred unenchanted sets of this armor inside the guild vault, and ten of the maximum-level armor sets, including the one Jullian is wearing.
It increases his movement speed and any lightning base attack, and lastly, this set of armor also greatly boosts his durability. It was perfect armor for a fighter who wants to have some mobility but also wants durability that can take a good chunk of damage without worry. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Jonathan wears something that makes a complete set of armor types. Sonia wears light armor, Jullian wears heavy armor, and now Jullian wears leather armor. It was something my guildmate wore in the past.
It was a leather armor set that increased penetration, resistance to debuff, and attack speed. It was a low-level armor, but when it is enchanted to the maximum level, it can be used for mid-level gameplay.
Not only did I give him the armor set, but I also let Jonathan use the weapon my guildmate used when he was still a low-level. It was a bow that had a chance of causing one of three negative effects: [Burn], [Poison], or [Bleeding].
Combined with my guildmate’s attack speed, it was a deadly weapon to wield. The reason? It can stack for each negative effect up to ten times, and each stack deals 0.5% of the enemy’s max HP. Not only that, if you are fast enough and lucky enough, the player can activate all three negative effects for maximum damage. Sadly, the chance of the negative effect appearing is rather low; only a 5% chance of it appearing.
However, if you are lucky and fast enough, It is effective against a tanky monster or player.
I shake my head and get on my horse alongside the others.
"You guys ready?"
"Yes!"
I smile a little at their immediate answer and nod. I raise my hand and swing it down. We march through the city of Shadowfall, where the people are already waiting for us, wishing us good luck and having a pleasant journey.

"Team one! Front! Team two! Back! Around two hundred monsters are coming! Medium size! Brace for impact in ten seconds!"
I give orders as my people rush forward with their weapons to create a formation. Standing in the front is Jullian and his group, the one stopping the monsters’ momentum. Behind his group is Sonia’s group, who will heal them and also support them from behind using their spear.
I clap my hand, and suddenly a small wooden structure appears from the ground, creating a higher ground for Jonathan and his group. I look at Silva and say.
"Are you ready?"
"En. I’m ready."
"Good because they are coming."
And true to my word, a horde of monsters coming at us at high speed. The vanguards hold their ground as massive bull-like monsters ram their horns on the shield wall.
"Fire!"
At my command, Jullian, Silva, and the other archers start firing their arrows at the enemy. I frown a little as I see a giant shadow coming from the forest and say.
Archer! Stop! Prepare to fire for the new monsters! Spear! Forward! Impale them!"
At my command, the archer stops and waits for the new monster to get into their sight while the spear user moves forward and thrusts their spear in between Vanguard’s formation. I could hear the screaming of pain from the monster, but it was ignored as my people killed them one by one.
"The big one! Archer! Fire!"
I quickly give my command when a humanoid monster appears from the forest. They have a human-like body but with the head of a bull, the same with its feet and tail.
"Minotaur! Prepare for a projectile! Sonia! Shield above!"
Minotaur is known for their use of boulders or anything that they can throw to kill their enemy.
And a few seconds after I say that, ten large stones get thrown toward us. I am about to cast something but stop when I see Sonia already take action and create a barrier that deflects the stone thrown toward us safely.
I once asked my father why not he did not kill all the monsters in our hunt in the past instead of letting the soldiers do the killing while he only gave orders.
My father said that he did not want to make people too dependent on him and get used to battle. He wants them to grow; if he coddles them, they cannot grow and will become lazy. Protect your people but don’t coddle them up. Let them fight side by side and only protect them if something big happens.
And that is what I’m doing. I want to destroy the monster using my spells, but I decide to watch from the side and only give commands to my people. I watch them fighting the monster like a well-oiled machine of destruction.
The Archer made sure the minotaur did not get closer while the vanguard and the spearmen killed the boar monster one by one. It takes us fifteen minutes to finish the fight, and when all the monsters are killed, I look around to see if there is anyone who needs an immediate healing spell.
Seeing there is none, I say.
"Good job, people! We will take a fifteen-minute break before we continue to go to Blackmore City. Take a team to dismantle these monsters and burn the rest! Especially that Minotaur! It will be a great gift for Lord Jiran."
While you can’t eat monster’s meat (well, you can but only occasionally because if you eat it too much, you will be corrupted and become crazy. Not only will you get crazy, but the meat also tastes horrible) but you can take away their hide and make armor from it.
Minotaur hide is great because it is tough and has some resistance to magic. We manage to kill seven Minotaurs, which should be good enough to make twelve to fourteen chest armor made of Minotaur hide.

We have arrived.
I look at the city in front of me with a smile. We managed to arrive before sunset. We continue to march to Blackmore City, and when we are close enough, I can see people looking at us from the wall and Lord Jiran and his family waiting for us in front of the gate.
When we arrive in front of the gate, Lord Jiran walks forward and bows a little at me.
"The Blackmore is yours, my lord."
