I Returned to the Day He Brought His First Love Home-Chapter 55: Grace Winslow, You Have No Shame
"Um, I..."
Just as Grace Winslow was about to speak, a heavy force suddenly clamped down on her arm. She cried out in pain as the grip yanked her back, causing her to stagger a few steps.
Before she could even gather her wits to curse at him, Caleb Forrest’s furious voice rang in her ear, "Grace Winslow, is this why you won’t forgive me or take me back? Because of this man?"
"How dare you say you didn’t betray me? That you did nothing to wrong me?"
"Grace Winslow, you’ve really got some nerve!"
Caleb Forrest’s voice was laced with bitter resentment.
The sharp pain in Grace Winslow’s arm told her that the man before her, Caleb Forrest, was genuinely furious.
She tried to yank her arm free, but with her first tug, Caleb Forrest’s grip only tightened.
"Caleb Forrest, have you lost your mind? Let me go! Who the hell do you think you are to question me?"
"Even if there *was* something between us, it would be perfectly legitimate. Don’t you forget, we’ve been divorced for a month!"
"What right do you have to question me?"
Looking at Caleb Forrest’s furious expression, Grace Winslow found it ridiculous.
It was fine for him to have a shady relationship with Ivy White. He even brought her into their home to sleep in their bed, and never once thought he’d done anything wrong.
And now he had the audacity to accuse her of having something with Archer Rhys?
Never mind that there was nothing going on between them. Even if there was, Grace Winslow knew she had nothing to apologize to Caleb Forrest for.
Her conscience was clear; she wasn’t afraid of gossip.
"What right do I have to question you? You two were already hooking up before we were even divorced, weren’t you? So? Does he satisfy you? Is he better than me?" Caleb Forrest had completely lost his senses, his words turning vile.
A larger and larger crowd was gathering to watch.
Many were just there to enjoy the drama.
After all, a spectacle like this only came around a few times a year at the factory.
It was too good a show to miss.
Oscar Osborne’s expression turned grim. He wanted to step forward and stop Caleb Forrest, to make him shut his mouth immediately.
This scene was already humiliating enough.
’Wasn’t Caleb Forrest making enough of a fool of himself already?’
But before he could make a move, Archer Rhys beat him to it.
He stepped forward and seized Caleb Forrest’s arm. With a slight squeeze of his fingers, Caleb’s entire arm went numb, rendering him powerless.
Grace Winslow seized the opportunity to wrench her arm free.
"You truly disgust me, Caleb Forrest!" Grace Winslow glared at him, the loathing in her eyes unconcealed.
A pang of pain shot through Caleb Forrest’s heart. With reddened eyes, he asked Grace, "Grace, do all our years together mean less than the few days you’ve known him?"
"Do you even know him? Do you know what kind of person he is? How do you know he isn’t just playing with you?"
"You’re a divorcée. You don’t think he’s going to mind your past?"
"Grace, I’m the only one who truly loves you. If you leave me, who else will ever love you the way I do?"
"Come back to me. I can overlook you being with him... I can forgive you for all of it. Just come back. Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you."
"I’ll kick Ivy White out. Just come back, okay?"
As he spoke, Caleb Forrest raised a hand and reached for Grace Winslow.
"Enough. What makes you think I’d ever take back a piece of trash like you? Don’t flatter yourself, Caleb Forrest. I would rather stay single for the rest of my life than ever get back together with you."
"I’m done talking to you about this. Director Osborne, what Caleb Forrest just did constitutes harassment, doesn’t it? I intend to press the matter."
The moment the words left Grace Winslow’s mouth, the color drained from Caleb Forrest’s face. He stared at her in utter disbelief.
