I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?-Chapter 229: Devouring!
After Hans left the room.
Loren turned his head to survey the bedroom on the starship and nodded with considerable satisfaction.
Although limited by the starship's area, this bedroom wasn't large, but the room was fully equipped with all necessary facilities.
A tidy large bed, a computer desk, and on the desktop sat a somewhat old, large computer.
A bright, clean bathroom, complete with a decently sized bathtub.
Quite thoughtfully placed at the bathroom entrance were a fully automatic washing machine and a somewhat old-looking Cross-Star-Domain Signal Receiver...
Wait??!
An old Cross-Star-Domain Signal Receiver??!
They even have this thing?! Is that reasonable?!
Staring at this Cross-Star-Domain Signal Receiver, Loren was extremely surprised. He quickly walked up and examined this technological creation half a person tall in detail.
This was clearly a Cross-Star-Domain Signal Receiver assembled from scrap parts.
Loren silently pulled out his portable computer from his chest pocket and logged into the Interstellar Hunter Forum.
Then, he fell into an eerie silence.
It actually works...
"Master, I have a feeling you've encountered another rather dangerous individual..." Raven's voice also held a note of surprise.
Unlike the rough Loren, the wise Raven was different.
As a being currently studying "Federation Network Technology: From Beginner to Master," it was the one who best understood the true value contained within this Cross-Star-Domain Signal Receiver...
The other party used a pile of scrap parts scavenged from junkyards and Spirit Stones obtained through robbery to create one of the Federation's most cutting-edge technological creations...
"This is a true genius-level individual, Master! I suggest you gift them a Revolver..."
For the first time, Raven offered its own suggestion regarding someone Loren intended to "gift a Revolver" to.
"Also, you idiot Master, that Mecha fragment you gave them... I have a premonition it will bring immense trouble to the Federation..."
"And something that dangerous, don't just give it away casually! It could accidentally affect a lot of people!!"
"Shut up, stupid bird, you're too noisy." Loren stopped Raven's muttering in his mind.
Then, Loren silently put away his portable computer and thought somewhat dazedly:
It seems I really did accidentally invest in an incredible fellow...
That's just fantastic...
Decaying Federation, the big surprise I sent you seems to have just doubled...
If not handled carefully, it could completely bury you...
After snapping back to reality, Loren directly walked out of the room.
Releasing his mental energy, he found Hans in a room on the starship piled high with various parts and instruments.
Loren summoned Raven, directly plucked a feather, and threw it to him.
"And this is?" Hans, who was studying the Mecha fragment, looked up and asked.
"Your Superhuman Tier is a bit low. This Revolver is for your protection. A Psychic Ability weapon, it evolves by feeding it Spirit Stones, and only you can use it."
"Perhaps you prefer mechanical creations and don't have time to cultivate yourself. But this Revolver can compensate for your shortcomings quite well."
After Loren finished speaking, the Black Feather in the other's hand shimmered with light and transformed into a somewhat old-looking revolver.
The gun body was predominantly black, and on the slender barrel were several rust-like, peculiar patterns.
At the most distinctive cylinder position, several "small flowers formed by the interweaving of rust and bright crimson" were engraved.
This clearly extraordinary Psychic Ability weapon, Hans liked it at first sight.
The revolver's appearance also suited his aesthetic quite well; he particularly liked the inherent rust marks on it...
Gently stroking this old revolver, he asked somewhat puzzled:
"Why give me such a precious thing again?"
Hearing this, Loren raised his hand and snapped his fingers, dispelling the Pure White Mask's disguise and revealing his true appearance.
That gentleman in a black coat, with a white flower pinned to his chest and wearing a hat, had returned.
Loren, having revealed his true face, looked at Hans, who was somewhat surprised by his changed appearance, and said with a smile:
"Someone as interesting as you, I'm quite looking forward to your future."
"So, don't die."
"No matter how far you go in the future, remember, my name is Las Loren."
"I once sincerely hoped you would reach great heights and bring a bit of different fun to this Star Realm..."
With those words spoken, Loren lightly tipped his hat and turned to leave.
Left alone in the workshop, Hans watched Loren's gradually receding back and remained silent in thought.
Seems I've encountered a rather special big shot... Hans silently thought to himself.
After a while.
Hans silently put away the revolver in his hand and gently placed it inside his coat.
A big shot's expectations and goodwill? Feels like it's the first time someone has valued me... What a strange feeling...
Hans silently shook his head, calming his somewhat restless heart, and continued burying himself in studying that small Mecha fragment.
Anticipate it freely, Mr. Loren...
My footsteps will not stop beneath that garbage dump filled with the stench of decay...
-------
After leaving Hans's cluttered workshop, Loren returned to the previous room, sat on the large bed, and began his daily Meditation, making preparations in advance for his advancement to Legendary Rank...
After three hours of deep meditation.
Loren, who had been sitting cross-legged on the large bed, opened his eyes once more.
"Raven, time to eat Spirit Stones."
After saying this, Loren waved his hand and took out 5 million Spirit Stones from the Spatial Ring on his finger, piling them on the floor of the room.
The reason Loren didn't take out 10 million Spirit Stones all at once wasn't because he needed to keep some to repay the Interstellar Hunter Association loan, but because the bedroom was only this big, and the floor could only hold this many Spirit Stones.
"As you command, my dear Master!"
Raven immediately released its Possession State, flew onto the pile of Spirit Stones in the room, and opened its small beak.
A small vortex appeared in the bird's beak, and Raven diligently began devouring the Spirit Stones.
20 minutes later.
The 5 million Spirit Stones on the floor were completely devoured.
"Can you still devour more?" Loren looked at Raven, which had already swollen into a ball, and asked somewhat hesitantly.
"Yes! Today, I will challenge my limit!" Raven, half-lying on the ground, boasted.
Loren said nothing, merely waved his hand and released another 5 million Spirit Stones, tilting his head and watching Raven expectantly.
Struggling to get up, Raven, somewhat suffering from indigestion from the massive amount of Spirit Stones, opened its beak once more.
The small vortex reappeared, and the devouring began again.
30 minutes later.
The 5 million Spirit Stones on the floor were once again completely devoured.
And by this time, Raven was already hard to recognize as having a bird-like shape.
On the floor of the room, only a bizarre, enormous black sphere remained, one still covered in black feathers.
"Master! I declare! My digestive capacity has advanced again!!" An excited voice came from inside the sphere.
Loren chuckled lightly.
"Not bad, Raven, quite capable."
Loren walked over to the huge sphere and reached out to stroke the black orb.
This form has a pretty good feel to it...
"It tickles! What are you doing?! Master!" Another voice came from inside the sphere, the tone somewhat puzzled.
Hearing this, Loren silently stopped his hands and voluntarily initiated the Possession State to help Raven digest.
Wanted to stroke it a bit longer, what a pity... Loren thought with some regret.
