I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 316 Boo’s Answers
"Alright, let’s see what Boo has written..." she said warmly.
Boo immediately lit up, spinning happily in the air. "Hehe! Teacher’s reading mine! Teacher’s reading mine!"
Alina smiled, her heart swelling at his excitement. "First question—’Describe the sky,’" she read softly, glancing down at the page. "Sky is colourful and beautiful. I wish my ghost tower should be at least colourful as sky. I tell Oldie and Goldie but they didn’t listen, argh! I love colourful sky!"
Her smile faltered slightly. Oldie and Goldie... those must be elders or guardians in his ghost world, she thought quietly. So the ghost tower must really be dull and colourless.
For a moment, she bit her lip to stop her emotions from spilling out. Boo’s cheerful words hid something gentle and sad beneath them—a child’s longing for colour in a world of dullness.
But neither Boo nor the other babies seemed to realize the deeper meaning in his words. They only giggled at his dramatic tone, clapping for him as he cheered for himself, so proud and happy. Alina’s heart ached tenderly; she smiled again, pushing her feelings aside so as not to dim his joy.
She steadied her voice and said softly, "That’s a very lovely answer, Boo. You really love colours, don’t you?"
Boo giggled, spinning with pride. "Yes! Colours make ghosts less boring!"
The whole class laughed affectionately, and Alina joined in, her eyes warm.
Then she turned the page. "Second question—five words starting with S," she continued with a grin. "Spirit, Spy, Singing, Snacks, Soul." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
She looked up at him, pretending to look serious. "I see you’ve included snacks, just like Drake."
"Snacks are a very important part of education!" Boo said dramatically, putting his tiny ghost hand on his chest.
Drake raised his hand, nodding. "I agree!"
The class erupted in giggles again, and Alina laughed, shaking her head. "You two are impossible."
Finally, she looked at the last question. "And for ’five animals you know,’ Boo wrote—Wolf, Fox, Cat, Dog, Goat."
Her lips curved softly. "Very nice, Boo! All are correct," she said cheerfully.
Boo clapped his hands and twirled midair with excitement. "Yay! I did it! I’m a genius ghost!" he shouted happily.
Drake laughed and clapped too, while Luna muttered, "You spelled cat as ’cot,’ genius..."
But Boo ignored her completely, floating proudly like a tiny balloon of joy.
Alina couldn’t stop smiling. "Alright, our little genius ghost gets his reward," she said, reaching into the cookie box. "Three cookies for Boo!"
She handed them to him, and Boo hugged the cookies against his round little body like treasures. He peeked into the snack bag and squealed when he spotted something bright—rainbow candies and a sweet jelly cup.
He grabbed both instantly, his face glowing with pure happiness.
"Colourful snacks for a colourful ghost," Alina said softly, her voice tender.
Boo beamed at her and twirled midair, laughing so happily that even Sable giggled quietly from his seat.
And as Alina watched them, she thought to herself, Maybe Boo doesn’t need a colourful tower to be bright. He already is.
"And some of you added bat as an animal, which cannot be considered an animal at all!" Alina said, crossing her arms with mock seriousness. Her tone made the class fall silent for a second before they started giggling again.
Vlad Jr. nodded with a very proper expression. "Indeed, teacher, we bats are noble beings."
"Okay!" all the babies chorused in unison, their voices bright and cheerful.
Alina sighed in amusement, unable to stay stern for long. "Alright then, you can all enjoy your snacks now," she said with a fond smile.
The room instantly erupted into cheers. Boo spun happily in midair with his rainbow candies, Drake was already stuffing chips into his mouth, Luna was growling softly at anyone who came near her packet of crisps, and Kelpie was drinking his juice like he had found treasure.
Sable quietly nibbled on his candy, his little shadow flickering contently at his feet, while Rocky was carefully breaking his cookie into tiny pieces so it would last longer.
Alina leaned back on her chair, the sight before her so full of warmth and laughter that she felt her heart glow.
She realized she had accidentally taken up some of their science class time—only about twenty minutes were left before recess—but she didn’t mind. Let them enjoy themselves. They deserve it.
As the cheerful noises of chatter and giggles filled the classroom, she turned to her desk and quietly began sorting some papers, glancing once in a while at her students. A peaceful calm settled over her.
Her thoughts drifted softly. Georgia must be treating Mother by now, she thought with hope.
Maybe things are finally going right. She had a job she loved, a place that felt like home, and these little ones who made her smile every single day.
A deep sense of gratitude washed through her chest, warm and overwhelming. For the first time in so long, her heart felt full of joy.
This is the life I never imagined for myself, she thought, her eyes misting slightly as she watched her babies laugh together. It’s simple, but perfect. Even if I died one day, I think... I’d die happily.
She pressed her hand gently against her heart and smiled, her eyes soft and shimmering in the gentle afternoon light that poured through the window.
When all the babies were eating their snacks, the classroom turned into a happy little world of chatter and laughter. Boo was humming as he licked his rainbow candy, Drake was loudly crunching his chips while telling everyone that dragons needed five snacks a day to stay strong, and Luna scolded him for getting crumbs on her desk.
Time slipped by quietly as Alina watched them with a tender heart. The joy in their laughter filled every corner of the classroom, and she could feel peace blooming in her chest.
Soon, the bell rang, echoing through the hallway, and all the babies jumped up in excitement. "Recess!!!" they shouted together, chairs scraping as they ran toward the door in a little stampede of giggles and wagging tails.
Alina stood by the doorway, smiling as she watched each of them rush out into the sunlight.
She headed back toward her desk to collect her bag when she noticed that, as usual, one tiny figure hadn’t left.
Only Boo remained.
He was stuffing something into his small school bag—a colorful package of his candies and jelly, and some chip packets others had finished and handed him. His little ghostly hands moved quickly as he whispered to himself, "Just in case it’s useful later."
Then, with a gleam of excitement in his eyes, he floated toward Alina. "Teacher!" he said eagerly, his voice bubbling with mischief. "I have gossip! Very, very important gossip!"
Alina raised an eyebrow, half-amused, half-curious, already knowing that whatever came next was going to be far from "important"... but certainly entertaining.
