Chapter 315: Chapter 315 Drake’s answers

"Me and you, Drake! Only we’re left!" Boo squealed excitedly, spinning in circles and nearly bonking his head against the ceiling. He floated down and leaned close to Drake’s ear, whispering like it was the biggest secret in the world.

Drake instantly sat up straight, wings twitching with anticipation. "Me?? Really?!"

And when Alina’s hand reached for the next notebook, his eyes widened so much they looked ready to pop out. It was bright orange with faint scorch marks around the corners—as if someone had accidentally set it on fire once or twice.

"IT’S YOURS!!!" Boo shouted gleefully, spinning faster, his ghostly tail flicking with delight.

Drake gasped dramatically, clapping his tiny hands together. "YESSS!!! FINALLY!!!" His little wings flapped so fast they made a soft whooshing sound, and he almost jumped out of his chair.

Alina couldn’t help but laugh, her heart softening at the sight. Drake looked like he had just won a golden treasure, and Boo’s excitement for his friend made it even sweeter.

They really are such precious little souls, she thought fondly, her smile gentle and warm. Boo is such a kind friend—always cheering for everyone else before himself.

She glanced between them and shook her head in amusement before opening the notebook carefully. The inside was a chaotic mix of little doodles—dragons, clouds, and something that suspiciously looked like a flaming cookie. There were even a few faint smudges of soot on the page, and Alina chuckled softly before beginning to read.

"Alright, let’s see what Drake has written..." she said with a teasing smile, and Drake sat up even straighter, puffing his chest proudly, his tail curling with excitement.

"First question answer Drake had written..." Alina began, smiling softly as she squinted at the messy handwriting that looked like a tiny storm of joy had danced across the page. "Sky is my first home before I live on land, so I love sky so much. I love my wings, and I like flying, and I can fly because sky allow me."

She read it slowly, her voice full of warmth, and couldn’t help but smile wider. His spelling was clumsy, and some letters were flipped backward, but the meaning was beautiful. Her heart melted at the innocence behind every word.

She looked at him fondly. "That’s such a sweet answer, Drake," she said softly. "You really love the sky, don’t you?"

Drake’s golden eyes sparkled, and his tail flicked proudly. "Yes, teacher! Sky and me are best friends! Sky never says no when I want to fly!"

The whole class laughed, and Boo whispered to Vlad Jr., "Sky must be tired then!" making everyone giggle louder.

Alina chuckled too, shaking her head and flipping to the next answer. "Second question—five words starting with S are..." she read aloud, tracing her finger along his scribbles. "Snacks, supper, soup, sky, sun."

She blinked, then burst into laughter. "You really do think about food all the time, don’t you?" she teased.

Drake grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Hehe... food makes dragons strong, teacher! Very, very strong!"

"Strong and always hungry," Vlad Jr. muttered, earning another wave of laughter from the room.

Drake pouted. "I’m not hungry! I’m preparing for emergencies!"

Even Alina had to hold her stomach from laughing too much, her eyes crinkling warmly. "Alright, let’s see the third one," she said once the giggles had settled.

Her voice softened as she read, "Five animals’ names you know: bat, ghost, wolf, fox, water..."

She paused mid-sentence, blinking in disbelief. "Water?"

The entire classroom went quiet for a beat.

Then Boo gasped dramatically, floating up with his hands on his head. "Oh my ghost! You made me an animal?!" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Kelpie’s finned ears twitched in outrage, his voice rising indignantly. "And me?! Water?! Drake, how could you?!"

Drake blinked innocently, clearly confused by their reaction. "What? But ghosts float, and water moves! Both are alive!"

Boo crossed his tiny ghostly arms. "Alive? I’m a spirit, not a pet goldfish!"

Kelpie puffed out his cheeks. "And I’m not an animal, I am just water with feelings!"

The whole class burst into laughter, even Sable hiding his giggles behind his small hands while Luna covered her mouth, trying to stay quiet but failing miserably.

Alina was laughing too hard to speak for a moment, tears glimmering in her eyes. "Alright, alright, calm down everyone," she said finally, wiping the corner of her eye. "Drake didn’t mean anything bad—he was just being creative."

"Creative?" Boo huffed dramatically. "He’s starting a zoo without asking us first!"

That only made the laughter louder, and Alina leaned against her desk, smiling through her laughter. "Alright, zookeeper," she teased. "Come and collect your cookies before your ghost and water friends file a complaint."

Drake jumped up immediately, wings fluttering, and hurried to her desk, his grin wide and bright. Alina handed him three cookies, and he peeked excitedly into the snack bag, his golden eyes lighting up when he saw his favorites.

He picked a packet of spicy chips and a chocolate milk box, holding them close like treasures. "Thank you, teacher!" he said happily.

Alina smiled warmly, watching him bounce back to his seat, and then her gaze lingered on Boo and Kelpie, who were now whispering to each other dramatically as if plotting something together.

She chuckled under her breath.

Alina reached for the last book on her desk—a small, messy one with a plain white cover. Unlike the others, there were no stickers, drawings, or decorations. Only a single word, written in wobbly, faint handwriting—"Boo."

The corners of the book were bent, and the cover had little tears on the sides. When she opened it, she noticed that many pages were either ripped or crumpled. Some still had faint scribbles on them, like Boo had tried to erase something too hard. Her heart sank a little as she ran her fingers gently across the uneven paper.

Poor Boo, she thought softly. He must have worked so hard even with this tiny book.

But when she turned to another page, her sadness softened into a smile. There it was—his handwriting, all squiggly and uneven but full of energy. He had written every answer she had asked, as if he didn’t want to leave even one blank space.

"Alright, let’s see what Boo has written..." she said warmly.
