How To End This Marriage-Chapter 124: Fates Intertwined
As I delved into the dream, I found myself standing in front of the heavenly realm.
"Aurelia, do you accept your mistake?" the heavenly god asked in a cold voice.
"No, I don’t think what I have done is a mistake at all. It’s one of the best things I have done in all these years of my life," retorted the angry princess of the godly realm.
"Aurelia!!! I’m your superior. You still haven’t become the supreme god, and you’re already talking like this to your superior?" the heavenly god queried. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"I never said I wanted to be the supreme god!"
"I have never said I will be the chosen one, but it was you who kept pushing me to become something I don’t want," she said.
"Marcus, the son of the supreme god, has already been in line for ages, but why hasn’t he been chosen, and I have? Can you answer me without mentioning the oracle? Because I’m already tired of the oracle," she added, raising her voice.
"Aurelia!!!" the heavenly god raised his voice.
"I know my name, heavenly superior. You don’t have to remind me of my name or my role. I’m fully aware, but what I’m not aware of is my existence. I know no one in this heavenly realm, yet everyone says I’m the chosen one. Why? How was I born? Can anyone tell me? If not, then why am I the only criminal here, merely because I changed someone’s fate brutally? Find the person who committed the sin of giving me birth and still hides it from the heavenly principals," she declared loudly.
"This is not going to change what you have done, Aurelia. You have been ordered to be executed," the heavenly god said.
"Yes, I never declined this. So give me the order already to end my life. I want this to end fast," Princess Aurelia said angrily.
"You are not going to get executed," they said once again, changing their words.
"What do you mean I’m not going to get executed? Then what? What are you all planning to do with me?" the princess inquired.
"You will be descended to the mortal world," the gods announced.
"Mortal world?" she muttered.
"Yes, you will be descended to the mortal world, and your punishment will start there," the gods explained.
"Punishment? Say it!!!" Princess Aurelia demanded.
"Your punishment will be to survive, no matter what happens. You have to keep yourself alive to the point where you will be the only one left in the world. But once you die, the cycle will repeat again. You will be killed more brutally if you fail one of your lives, and you will return to the past with the same routine, with no memory of what happened back then," the gods described.
"No, I refuse this punishment," the princess declined.
"The punishment doesn’t go the way you want. You are bound to fulfill the punishment," they declared, and a door beside her opened.
"Push her down the door!!!" the maids were ordered.
The maids came forward, pushing the princess down to the mortal world.
"Nooooo!!!! I refuse to take this punishment," she shouted.

"Duchess, open the door!!!"
"Duchess!!!" I heard voices that jolted me awake. I walked toward the door, opening it to find the duchess waiting for me.
"How long does it take to open the door?" the duchess said and entered my room abruptly.
"Tell me what is so urgent that made you come to me in such a hurry?" I asked.
"I’m here to talk about what you asked me to do. And I agree," she said.
"Agreed? You agreed to set me up with the Crown Prince Maximus?" I asked in confusion.
"Yes, no matter what I think, I believe this is a good option if you end up marrying the prince," she said with a sudden change of mind.
"Don’t you fear the consequences of the arrangements you’ve made?" I asked.
"Why? Why would I be scared?" she asked.
"Mother, don’t tell me you still don’t know that I know your plans," I said, chuckling while looking at her confused face.
"What?" she asked.
"I know, Mother, what your plan is. I know why you are in such a hurry to make your son the spouse of the princess, who is the first heir of the emperor," I said.
"You want the throne, right?" I continued, making her look at me in shock.
"You failed to secure the throne, so you want to make your son the emperor, if I’m correct. That’s why you are hurrying to get me out of your life," I said.
"How did you know?" she stuttered.
"Mother, the way you behave is so evident of your plan. So I’m confused about why you want me to be the crown princess, as I will still be the biggest threat to you and your plan," I said.
"You don’t have to worry about it. You want him, and I agreed. So do things well and get out of Alex’s life," she said, trying to leave the room.
"Ah, yes, I forgot to tell you I have sent the crown prince to the garden. If you want to make a good impression on him, this is your chance," she said, stopping midway and left, as she did her work.
"Garden!!! Ha!!" I mumbled and got ready to meet the crown prince. I have no idea what her plan is. I have no idea why she is so eager to set me up with the prince when I will be the one to become a threat to her once again in a different way. Still, why is she so eager? I have to figure it out.
I got ready and walked toward the garden. I don’t know what is waiting for me, but as I became closer, I found the prince sipping tea and looking at the clear sky.
"Greetings, Your Highness!!" I greeted him as I approached.
"Oh, Duchess, greetings!!" he was startled at my sudden arrival, I guess.
"I mean no harm, Your Highness. You don’t have to be so cautious of me!!" I said while bowing in front of him.
"That is not what I want to give you as an impression, but I was a little bit startled how you came, and I failed to recognize that someone is coming," he smiled awkwardly.
"It is okay, Your Highness. You can have your tea; I will be off some other way," I said, trying to get away from the place when he stopped.
"No, I didn’t mean to send you away like this. You can stay here; I can order the servants to prepare tea for you as well," he said, offering me a place.
"I’m so grateful you have thought of me, Your Highness," I smiled.
"It is nothing. But why is the duchess in the palace out of nowhere? Is there some important discussion going on with official affairs?" he asked.
"No, Your Highness. There is no official affair, but it is the princess. You don’t know?" I asked.
"Princess? My sister, Vixara? What happened to her? I got no news regarding her," he said, being all confused.
So it is really like this? It is really her plan, I mumbled.
"Duchess? Where did you lose yourself?" he asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, nothing. I was thinking how no one informed the prince regarding the princess’s health," I said.
"Her health?" he asked.
"Yes, Your Royal Highness, her health. The emperor has sent us notice that the princess is so sick that she can’t even move, and she wanted to see the duke immediately. I don’t know why we are getting informed from so far, but the prince who lives in the palace hasn’t been informed?" I acted in front of him.
"Is this really the case?" he asked again.
"Yes, if you don’t believe me, then I would like to call Mother to tell you that she has been informed," I said, trying to get up when he stopped me by holding my wrist.
"No, Duchess, I believe you, but I think you have fallen for a trap," he said.
"Trap?" I asked.
"Yes, a trap! You have fallen for a trap that is prepared by my sister Vixara to get closer to the duke," he said. So he is also aware of the feelings of the princess toward the duke?
"You must not come here, no matter how many times she sends invitations about her health, as she is not sick at all," he said, making me shocked.
"Isn’t she been like this for several years?" I asked.
"No, she was never like this. Don’t fall for her act because she isn’t what she seems. She just wants to get what she desires," he said without showing much expression.
"Now, when you’ve shared so much information, then I would like to offer something to the prince," I said.
"Offer?" he asked.
"Yes, an offer, as no matter what I think, I couldn’t think that I can do this alone," I said.
