He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 653. Dangerous
Kailen started observing all the five imperial clans using the shadow hounds. He listened to conversations and deduced thoughts from subtle facial expressions.
For a whole week, he sat patiently in his room, passively absorbing universe energy with elemental mirroring as he focused on this task. Although Kailen was aware—from public intelligence Legoland had leaked to him—that the first imperial clan was strongly allied with the second imperial clan, he didn’t want to rely on public intelligence. He wanted to gather his own intel.

Currently, in the second imperial clan, several individuals could be seen seated across a table in a conference room.
"Seriously, this was our opportunity to obtain an advantage over the first clan bastards. To think Anvilheart will be in seclusion," one old fellow hissed.
"I agree. I personally wish they’d all die. Those bastards. Looking down on us all the time. But we can wait for Karag Anvilheart to emerge from seclusion. When we get him on our side, I can’t wait to see the stupid looks on their faces. I’ve assigned some intel agents to keep an eye on his building. The moment he emerges from seclusion, we will be notified."
"Indeed."

Kailen’s eyes flickered with amusement in his room. This was really interesting. From this brief interaction he had just observed, Kailen had gleaned something useful.
"So the second imperial clan allied with the first clan because of what they can get from the first clan. They are using them for benefits, as they buy time to find a way to overtake them. Hound 1, I hope you recorded the conversation?"
Hound 1 replied to Kailen through thought transmission: "Yes, My Lord. All recorded."
A glint flashed through Kailen’s eyes. This was perfect.
"So far, only the second imperial clan is showing signs of being allied with the first imperial clan. They are the most formidable allies of the first imperial clan. Also, they are more powerful than the other remaining clans. If the first imperial clan is dealt with and they are left alive, they will take advantage of the situation to seize the throne," Kailen thought. "This will affect my goal of getting a slot into the academy. Legoland has to ascend the throne. I need to turn these bastards and the first imperial clan against one another. Time to begin with the next part of the plan."

Malverion RiverBlood sighed. His gaze lingered on the portrait hanging on the wall.
"Brother, not a single day goes by that I don’t miss you. I’m sorry, but I had no choice but to eliminate your son from the throne," Malverion thought. "I could not just sit by and watch my lineage deteriorate when yours soared. Blame your son for providing an opportunity for me to get rid of him. I wonder where that Legoland boy is right now. Probably dead somewhere alongside his mother. It saddens me, really. But, life is not fair. I did what I had to do."
At the moment, Malverion didn’t notice a veiled creature hovering across him in his large bedroom. Suddenly, a soft feminine voice wafted in his ear.
"Dear, it’s late. Come to bed."
"Alright honey, be there soon."
Malverion snapped out of his thoughts. He muttered, "As for Karag Anvilheart, since he’s in seclusion, there’s no need to rush it. We will get him on our side at all cost. Those second clan bastards, they don’t know I see through them. Heh."
Malverion suddenly saw a runic recording device hovering before him. Where had this runic recording device come from?
"From a senior who cares about the first clan." A mysterious voice resounded in his mind.
Malverion didn’t see or sense anyone in the room. He was a Rank 1 Supreme Stage Universe Level powerhouse, yet he could not sense or perceive this person who claimed to be a senior. No doubt: this person was powerful, more powerful than him. He was possibly an ancestor.
The fact that the "senior" had concealed himself was a testament that he was an expert or probably an ancestor who didn’t want to dabble in the current matters of the imperial faction, but favored the first clan.
"Senior, what’s in this recording?" Malverion asked. However, the senior didn’t reply.
"It seems the senior just did me a passing favor and left," Malverion thought.
He clicked on the device. The device displayed a holographic screen. The members of the second imperial clan were having a conversation. As Malverion listened, he got angrier.
Yes, he was well aware that the relationship between his clan and the second clan was an opportunistic one. He knew if the second clan had an advantage over them, they’d seize the throne immediately. But he didn’t have any obvious proof to move against them. With the recording the "senior" had provided him, though, he did.
"With this proof, they can be charged with treason against the emperor," Malverion thought.
Although it was known that each of the clans could contend for the throne, no one dared to insult or disregard the current ruling clan openly. Malverion was sure that during the conversation between the second clan elders, their runesmith experts had set runic arrays in place to ensure that no one heard them speaking. They were not stupid enough to have such a conversation about the first clan if they were not confident they had put measures in place to avoid anything from leaking out.
Unfortunately, the "senior" who favored the first clan had overheard them. Malverion laughed. Life was really smiling on him. He wanted to see the look on the faces of the second clan bastards when he put on a "righteous" front to execute them.
He needed to show this video to his first son. Although he technically controlled his son—the emperor—from behind the scenes, and his son didn’t even realize it, he still had to put on a facade of loyalty. He had to make Mulvock think he was "guiding" him, rather than controlling him.
Kailen smiled. Naturally, he had used Emotional Resonance. Through the eyes of the shadow hound, Kailen had figured out his train of thought.
"I have to admit, this man is dangerous. But... everything is going according to plan. When he sets the stage, the final act remains."
A glint flashed through his eyes as a couple of Rank 8 poisons floated before him.
