Tai Tai continued to make it clear to Aaron that she was not a child, rather she was an adult and no matter what Aaron replied to her statements, Tai Tai assumed that he was not being honest. She believed that anything Aaron said was just to get her out of his way.

Aaron sighed and looked at the sky. He shook his head with his hands on his waist.

"What the hell is this?"

As they dragged on, another voice interrupted their little squabble.

"Tai Tai," the voice called the young green-haired girl. The voice was warm and temperate, devoid of any sense of haste just like its owner.

"Are you disturbing our customer?"

Tai Tai stepped away from Aaron immediately, giving him so much distance that Aaron was even confused by the sudden change in attitude.

Aaron looked at Tai Tai in a different light. She was not as hyperactive as she was a second ago. She was quiet and meek, almost as if she was a child whose parents had just caught engaging in a bad act.

Tai Tai raised her head and looked the path of this person. Immediately, she hurried to her side and took the delicate hands of this person and rubbed her cheek on it.

She chuckled, covering her mouth with the black and white hand fan she held.

"What is it, Tai Tai?" she asked calmly. "Are you fighting with a customer again? You know I won’t be able to save you from your grandmother all the time."

Tai Tai looked up at this person, her gaze lingering as she was smitten by the beauty in front of her. After a short while, Tai Tai realised herself and shook her head.

"Mm-mm. Tai Tai has been good, big sister Tai Yang." she said.

Tai Tai playfully dragged her hands. "Big sister Tai Yang believe Tai Tai, yes?"

Tai Yang looked at her and with a warm smile she said, "Of course Tai Tai. You know that I will always believe you and that’s why I said..."

"Tai Tai should never lie to big sister Tai Yang," Tai Tai replied, cutting Tai Yang short.

The two ladies laughed and Tai Yang ruffled Tai Tai’s hair.

"Big sister Tai Yang!" Tai Tai shouted, trying to put her hair back in order. Meanwhile, Aaron stood at a spot, not understanding what was going on with these two ladies.

"It seems they are sisters," he thought to himself. "They share family names after all. Maybe they are related."

Tai Yang left Tai Tai and walked towards the guest of the inn, Aaron.

"Forgive, our little Tai Tai. She’s usually too excited whenever we have a handsome face like yours coming into this place."

Aaron laughed lightly.

"Hmm. Massaging my ego already. She’s quite good with her words," he thought to himself.

He sized her up with from head to toe, noting subtle features about her. Without a doubt, she was better and more adorned than the group of girls he had met when he entered the inn.

Aaron could already tell from the type of attire she had on, her makeup and accessories as well as the elegance with which she strolled on the compound...

He could tell that she was of high standing, if not anywhere else, at least inside the inn.

"Don’t sweat it."

"Tai Tai heard! Tai Tai is not little!" Tai Tai yelled from behind them, causing them to laugh heartily.

"If I may ask, what is your business in the Inn of 1000 Pleasures? Have you come to see if it lives up to its name?" Tai Yang asked Aaron.

Aaron shifted his gaze for a moment to look at the entrance of the inn and the sign before returning his eyes back to Tai Yang.

He shrugged and smiled at the beautiful, slender woman before him.

"Surprise me."

Tai Yang chucked.

"By the way, how are you sure I’ve not been here before?" Aaron asked.

"It’s simple really. We make it a point of duty to know our customers and the type of service they enjoy and you, sir, are not registered inside my head like the others before you and them..."

Tai Yang paused and nodded in the direction of the stairs, showing Aaron a small group of men who were climbing up to the inn.

"Hehehe!" Aaron laughed. "Interesting. Really interesting."

Tai Yang slightly pulled her clothes on both sides and curtsied to Aaron.

"Forgive my rude manners, I am Tai Yang, the head courtesan of the Inn of 1000 Pleasures. Welcome to the Inn of 1000 Pleasures."

Aaron walked up close to her and extended his hand. "My pleasure, Miss?"

Tai Yang nodded in affirmation.

"My pleasure, Tai Yang. I am Aaron Winters."

Tai Yang took his hand with the two of hers and rubbed his palm in passionate rolls as she lifted her face towards him to whisper into his ears.

"Your hands are odd, my lovely Aaron. Soft, yet somewhat firm at the same time. Sure it’s not only for handshakes, am I right?"

Aaron smiled. He could smell a flirt from over a thousand miles.

Tai Yang stood at the entrance of his forte and if she eventually made him play her game, there was only going to be one outcome: Aaron as the victor and Tai Yang as the conquered.

Aaron watched and allowed her to make her moves without interfering and now she was done. Tai Yang had her feet raised a tad bit above the ground and her mouth was very close to the side of Aaron’s face.

In that position, Aaron’s hand found its way to her backside, holding her steady from behind her waist while also advancing his face to her ears.

Aaron placed his second hand on the same part of her body but on the opposite side. Firmly grabbing the courtesan’s waist, he stylishly pushed her away from him, ending their battle of flirting.

It was a draw. Neither was moved by the weapon of words that the other cut and sliced with.

"Hello, Tai Yang!"

"Hey, Fusen!" Tai Yang greeted one of the men who had climbed up and like that, she also greeted the six men who came after Fusen in quick succession.

After she was done exchanging pleasantries, she turned towards Aaron.

"Uh, where did he go?"
