Global Lords: I Have Information System-Chapter 302 - 263: Dealing with Gold Diggers, Slave Trading
"These are the goods I plan to sell today."
"I wonder how much Mr. Bamogo is willing to offer?"
It was the first time for Zong Shen to deal with a slave merchant, so he was not very familiar with the market prices for slaves.
However, both the Blade Armor Assassin and the Gold Digger are legitimate Tier Three Warriors. Their comprehensive attributes are certainly much higher than those of the villagers. Even as laborers, they'd be quite efficient.
Bamogo heard this and continued to smile broadly.
"My lord, may I take a look and inspect their physical condition?"
"If my judgment is correct, these three are indeed warriors, and not of a low tier at that."
Zong Shen had no objections to Bamogo's request and gestured for him to proceed.
Only then did Bamogo step forward, first removing the fabric stuffed in their mouths. Before they could start cursing, he grabbed their jaws to inspect the wear of their teeth and checked their faces and foreheads for wounds by grabbing their hair.
His movements were swift and skilled. After quickly completing the examination, he stuffed the saliva-soaked fabric back into their mouths.
He then began a thorough inspection of their limbs, necks, spines, thighs, groins, and other areas, examining everything in detail for a few minutes until he was finished.
He stood up, nodded with satisfaction, made a fist with one hand, placed it on his chest, and saluted Zong Shen once more.
"My lord, they are quite good, and their bodies are robust. Though their bodies have some battle scars, overall, they are in great condition."
"I'm willing to offer 1,500 Mainland Continent Universal Dinar per person, which is the standard purchase price for regular Tier Three Kingdom soldiers."
But Zong Shen frowned and, a bit puzzled, asked.
"Is the price for Tier Three Kingdom soldiers only worth 1,500 Dinar?"
"That money is equivalent to buying five prairie cows from nearby villages."
"If Tier Three soldiers are that cheap, you can sell the good ones to me next time."
Hearing Zong Shen say this, Bamogo was a bit embarrassed and quickly explained.
"The purchase price for regular Tier Three Kingdom soldiers is indeed 1,500 Dinar. However, if you were to buy one, you'd need at least 2,200 to 2,500 Dinar. That difference accounts for our margin."
"You must understand, slave trading is also hard work that requires traveling extensively."
Upon hearing Bamogo's explanation, Zong Shen didn't respond and instead consulted the strategy in his mind.
Not knowing the market price for slaves, he naturally couldn't just take Bamogo's word for it.
"Is he telling the truth?"
(The prices for slave trading vary across different kingdoms and regions, but they are roughly what he described. This guy seems eager to curry favor with you. He wants to acquire a batch of Dark Night Female Hunters for both personal pleasure and huge profits. However, he's worried about offending you. You might be able to leverage this in the upcoming trade to gain some benefits.)
After reading the strategy's hints, Zong Shen couldn't help but glance up at Bamogo. This guy was actually eyeing his Female Hunter?
That glance made Bamogo a bit nervous, even though he hadn't actually done anything yet.
Zong Shen looked at him with amusement and suddenly spoke.
"How about this: 2,000 Mainland Continent Universal Dinar per person, as a gesture of friendship."
He lightly kicked the Gold Digger, feeling more confident in taking advantage of Bamogo now that he knew what was going on in the latter's mind.
Bamogo pondered for a moment after hearing his offer but eventually agreed.
Even at 2,000 Dinar, a decent profit could still be made. In recent years, there have been few kingdom-level wars, with only occasional small skirmishes against Church Heretics and local forces. Such soldiers were indeed priced at this rate during wartime, but their peacetime value was usually higher, and their selling price reflected that.
Moreover, Bamogo was keen to establish a good relationship with Zong Shen. He wanted to know where Zong Shen managed to obtain these Dark Night Elf Female Hunters.
The entire Elf Race had retreated into seclusion, barely interacting with humans. Moreover, no one dared to invade or disturb them.
As the protagonists of the ancient era, even in seclusion, they retained enough power to contend with kingdom forces. No one would risk the wrath of the Elf Race by encroaching on their territory.
However, small-scale slave hunting teams did exist, secretly infiltrating Elf settlements to capture lone Elf women.
Each Elf woman could fetch tens of thousands of Dinar, and capturing an Elf Race Warrior could multiply that price several times over.
Of course, the risks were proportional to the rewards. The risk of being discovered in the Elf settlements was enormous, and detection meant certain death.
Apart from Elf women, Orc Girls possessing natural charm were also highly valued.
This included Rabbit Girls, Fox Girls, and Cat Girls, and capturing an Orc Girl involved the risk of being hunted down by the brutish Orcs.
Orcs, even more barbaric than the Elf Race, would crack open a slaver's skull and let them witness their own brains being extracted while still alive.
This created a scenario where rarity enhanced value, making alien slave women highly sought after in the slave market, with auctions required to sell those of higher quality.
As they say, fortune favors the bold. Bamogo was very interested in the Female Hunters within Zong Shen's territory. Even if Zong Shen only had a single Female Hunter, it would fetch an excellent price, with profits reaching tens of thousands of Dinar.
Bamogo cheerfully took out 6,000 Mainland Continent Universal Dinar from the carriage and handed it to Zong Shen. The two exchanged money for goods; following Zong Shen's signal, his men placed the two Gold Diggers and one Blade Armor Assassin into the prison cart.
Finally dealing with these three annoying individuals and exchanging them for some Dinar was a win-win.
As for what inhumane means Bamogo would use to condition these individuals in the future, that was not Zong Shen's concern.
Having settled the Gold Digger and Blade Armor Assassins, Zong Shen decided to see if there was any talent worth purchasing among the batch of slaves Bamogo had brought.
"Let's go, show me the slaves you've brought today."
"It's just as well, my territory needs a lot of workers as it's being developed."
Zong Shen volunteered. Upon hearing this, Bamogo eagerly bowed and led the way.
The two walked to the nearby prison carts, and as Zong Shen stood steady, a foul stench instantly hit him.
The smell was a mixture of sweat and excrement, causing him to hold his breath.
"My lord, I have received a few good slaves..."
Bamogo enthusiastically introduced, still fundamentally a businessman now.
Unfortunately, before he could finish speaking, Zong Shen waved his hand.
"I'll take a look myself. If I spot anything pleasing, I'll purchase it directly."
"As you wish..."
Hearing Zong Shen's words, Bamogo held his tongue, gesturing for Zong Shen to go ahead.
There were five prison carts in total, with around twenty or so slaves separated by gender.
All the slaves appeared disheveled, covered in tattered rags for modesty. On appearance alone, it was hard to tell the good from the bad, but as a Lord, Zong Shen could view their attributes. Additionally, the strategy hints could reveal some hidden aspects.
It often allowed the discovery of deeper strengths.
After circling the prison carts, Zong Shen halted, having formed an understanding of the state of these slaves.
Among these slaves were equal parts warriors and civilians. Most of the warriors were Tier One or Two soldiers from minor local factions.
The same was true for the civilians, with complicated backgrounds; these slaves had likely changed hands several times.
After surveying the group, Zong Shen did indeed discover some valuable talents among the slaves.
These talents had hidden traits unknown to the slave merchant.
