Chapter 219: Seducing the Clown

Theo’s POV:

I was hiding out behind the giant oak tree in the forest of the light. Laris and Edwin were combating each other with weapons. It was so lame to watch!

They both had no idea what they were doing. Laris was flinging his spear as if it was a wooden stick. And Vivian was going easy on Laris on purpose.

This is the right time! I waved my hand at Ivory, who was standing behind the shrubs that were opposite to me. She nodded her head and walked closer to the yellow-armored clown warriors.

She refused to wear a sparkling gown, no matter how much I insisted her to do. Whatever! An attractive fabric is not actually needed for a Siren to allure someone.

For a moment, Laris and Edwin didn’t notice her. They both were busy with their lame fight. Ivory snapped her fingers twice to gain their attention.

Laris was the first one to notice her. He almost dropped the spear that he had in his hand when she saw the pretty brunette girl.

Ivory tried hard to put on a fake smile on her face. She fluttered her eyelashes at Laris in an alluring way—for which he reacted by clutching his spear tightly.

"Umm.... lady, have you lost your way in the woods," Laris asked her.

"No," Ivory smiled. "I think that I am exactly where I need to be—"

Laris grinned ear to ear and said," I have not stopped thinking about you ever since I met you—"

Ivory was trying hard to control the feeling of disgust; she dislikes it the most when she is forced to do something that is not in her will.

With a fake smile on her face, she said, " I have the same feeling too! Whenever I see a golden Peonilla flower, I picture your dense blonde hair—"

Laris was so much elated, while Vivian was frowning at both of them skeptically. Vivian had his eyes on Ivory too. He was disappointed and surprised at the same time that Ivory had picked Laris over him.

I wanted to go there and tell him that he was not a delight either. Even though he is more than seven-foot-tall and sturdy, he has the brain of a rebellious kid.

"Laris," she said in a low and sensual tone. "Shall we both go to the Northern mountains and spend the night there?"

Laris turned red as the shyness took over him. Vivian, too, turned red, but for a different reason.

"Both of you, stop this now," he shrieked. Then he looked down to Ivory, who was just three-fourth to his height.

"I know exactly what you are planning here, enchantress! You are trying to seduce Laris on purpose, aren’t you?"

Ivory then put on a pity face and said, "Why would I want to seduce him? I am in love with him—"

I almost believed what she said—one of her special abilities is to tell a lie like the truth.

"Vivian....." Laris growled. "You are jealous that for the first time, a pretty girl chose me instead of you, aren’t you? Face it, brother! Just face it that girls dig humorous guys more—"

Vivian didn’t talk back to him. I penetrated his mind and started to read his thoughts. All I sensed in his mind was frustration.

He still wasn’t able to believe that a girl could actually love the clown Laris. Then he fixed his gaze on Ivory and thought that she could be here to deceive them.

It was not very difficult for me to scan his mind, even though I was not near him. I was waiting for him to think something about the moonstone—but he didn’t.

Ivory was scanning his thoughts too. She was disappointed that she had to keep up with the act for a little more time.

She looked at Laris again and said," I will be waiting for you tonight under the blue moon night in the mountains. Don’t keep me waiting for too long—"

She said that just to instigate Vivian even more. He got so furious that he clenched his sturdy, muscular fingers together to control his frustration.

"You are definitely hoaxing," Vivian shouted out. "Tell me what your true motive is—or else I will drag you to the Fae King and expose you—"

Ivory is not a weakling to get scared when a sturdy man tries to terrorize her. Instead, she reacted by bringing out fake tears from her eyes.

"Please don’t hurt me.... If you don’t want me to spend time with Laris, then I won’t," she said that while she was sobbing.

That was one perfect act! Vivan’s heart melted in regret. He cursed himself for making such a pretty girl cry.

In his mind, he concluded that she was not here to hoax them. Then he thought something about the moonstone. Ivory and I listen to his thoughts keenly.

’The moonstone is safely buried next to the oak tree. No one will be able to find out about it. I should relax..... The trickster is definitely not going to arrive here and snatch the stone from here.... And this girl must be really drawn to Laris! I should accept the fact and move on—’

I realized that I was standing behind the oak tree. Then I looked down at the ground below. The mud seemed to be freshly dugout. For this long, I have been standing next to the moonstone!

Now I get why Laris and Vivian were here. They were probably guarding the moonstone. But they did a very good job in that!

I whispered in Ivory’s head to distract them both for a little longer. Then I crouched down to the ground and started digging mud with my bare hands.

I wonder why someone would choose such a location to hide the stone. They could have hidden it somewhere or anywhere in the castle where it is a little difficult for me to reach.

This strategy must have been definitely spun by Darius, the most intelligent man in the Celestial realm!
