Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming-Chapter 322 - 209: Memories + Throw It Away
The boundless afterglow of the setting sun fell upon the forest, bathing everything in a warm, orange halo. The shadows of all things stretched long.
The world was still, without a single trace of prey. This was proving difficult.
Two children, a boy and a girl about seven or eight years old, were running and flying through the forest. They had been wandering the jungle for some time, apparently searching for food.
Both had long, silver-white hair, purple eyes, and pristine white wings. Their bare feet padded through the mud and gravel of the forest floor, and their wings shed a few feathers now and then as they passed through the tangled branches.
"Look! I caught some fresh prey! A plump wild boar! We’ll have something to eat tonight!" The girl, immensely strong, lifted the dead boar with one hand and flew into the sky, smiling triumphantly down at the handsome, young boy on the ground.
"Amazing," a young Ze Sheng smiled at her, his eyes hiding a universe of affection as he offered his praise without hesitation.
"Tch. That’s all you ever say. I’ve been hearing that my whole life, I’m sick of it." Despite her dismissive words, the vibrant, youthful smile on Wamiya’s face couldn’t be hidden.
She flapped her wings, which were a size smaller than his, and landed on a flat patch of ground, walking toward him with the boar.
The young Ze Sheng immediately took it from her with practiced ease. Catching up to her brisk steps, he asked softly, "What do you want to eat tonight? I can make you roasted meat, how about that?"
"It’s not like you know how to make anything else. Ever since our mother left, it’s just been the two of us. I eat your roasted meat every day."
Fearing her disapproval, a flicker of panic appeared in Ze Sheng’s heart. The light in his beautiful eyes dimmed, and his silver-white lashes trembled.
But the next second, she leaped onto the boy’s still-slender back, wrapping her slim arms around his neck. She buried her head in his shoulder, her eyes curving into crescents as she said, "But I love your roasted meat! I’ll never get tired of it!"
The setting sun illuminated their figures as they gradually receded into the distance, casting a long shadow behind them. Their cheerful laughter echoed until their silhouettes vanished completely.
「The scene changed.」
It now focused on the girl’s face at fourteen or fifteen. The beauty that had been hidden by youthful immaturity had begun to blossom.
Wamiya lay on a flat patch of grass, her wings serving as the softest cushion beneath her. With an arm draped over her forehead, she stared intently at the distant, starry sky.
Her long, silver-white hair, slightly curled, flowed like moonlight. She had bright, clear purple eyes and tender, peachy-pink cheeks. Her crimson lips were perpetually in a slight pout, and her graceful, developing body was like a flower bud waiting to bloom.
From behind a nearby ancient tree, a large, silver-white fox emerged. It had a pair of beautiful wings, and its eyes were a strange, enchanting purple.
That’s right, the little fox cub from all those years ago had grown into a large fox. It lowered its head and nudged her back with its long, sharp horn, letting her lean against it before it obediently lay down on the grass, unmoving.
"Ze Sheng, when do you think we’ll be able to take back our parents’ city?"
Wamiya sighed, her voice tinged with worry. "...We’re not going to be wanderers forever, are we? I miss my big nest. It was so soft and fluffy!"
"That day will come. I believe it will be soon," the fox said softly, lowering his head to nuzzle her cheek.
The young man seemed to be going through puberty; his once clear and youthful voice had become somewhat deep and husky.
"Alright." She pouted, pulling his wing over herself like a blanket. "You’ve been saying that since we were little. I hope that day really does come... I believe in you!"
Beneath the moonlight, the fox transformed into a handsome young man. He pulled the girl tightly into his embrace and lowered his head to place a kiss on her forehead. His silver hair cascaded over her like moonlight. "Whatever you want, I will help you achieve it."
From the moment they were born, they were destined to be partners. He would instinctively love her, protect her, and satisfy her. Everything she desired was a wish he had to fulfill.
「Later...」
After enduring countless hardships and pursuits, he finally metamorphosed into a King Beast with supreme combat power.
A purple mark appeared on his forehead, and with it came the power to make the Ten Thousand Beasts submit. No one in this world could stop him anymore.
He could also finally resolve the obsession that had plagued her for so long: to fight for her eternally and reclaim their long-lost Royal City from the other Beastmen!
On the night before his departure, they kissed beneath the moonlight. The love of youth is always fervent, bold, and tumultuous, completely undisguised as they poured out their hearts to one another.
With a soft sound, their tangled silver hair spilled onto the grass, startling the shy moonlight, which pulled a thin cloud over its face and drifted away.
As the night deepened, he lifted his eyes, which burned with intense love. His gaze fell upon her flushed cheeks and her misty eyes. Still not enough, he lowered his head to kiss her brows and eyes, seeking the tenderness he had greedily craved for so long.
"Don’t, I... I’m not in heat yet..." she said, somewhat resistant, blinking her moist eyes.
He hummed softly, the sound alluring. He lowered his head and gave her a light peck on the lips, his beautiful eyes swirling with restrained desire. "I won’t force you. Trust me, Wamiya. I will wait for you to grow up."
"Don’t be so old-fashioned. I’m the same age as you, you know. I’ll be an adult in just a few days. It’ll be soon," she said cheerfully, her gaze fervent, like an invitation.
Her look made the young man’s heart pound wildly. His eyes brightened, but reason quickly suppressed the surprise in his heart. A deep love and anticipation swirled in his eyes. "I’ll be back soon. I’ll help you retake the Royal City. Wait just a few more days. When I return, we will become mates."
He caressed her face, then kissed her eyes, gazing at the beautiful girl beneath him as if he could never get enough of the sight. The tender love in his eyes was impossible to hide as he whispered, "Wait for me to come back, Wamiya."
「And after that...」
Ze Sheng’s few beautiful memories were forced to an end.
He snapped his eyes open, his chest heaving. The joy that had been in his eyes was now replaced by a hint of gloom, which only softened again when he looked in the direction An Jin had gone. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
However, he was also troubled.
He thought of the female he had brought back to the palace a year ago, and the female he had just met.
’Why are there two "Wamiyas"?’
’Could it be that the soul I summoned back to this world split into two for some uncontrollable reason? Or is it that only one of them is actually her?’
’But no matter which it is, I have to figure out what happened. The ritual ceremony is supposed to be foolproof.’
Meanwhile, An Jin emerged from the jungle, laden with his haul. He looked around but didn’t see Chi Li. ’He must have already left,’ he thought.
"Where did you go?" A deep, worried voice suddenly asked from nearby.
An Jin turned his head and saw Mi Yin walking up to his side. He was about to run over and hug him but realized his hands were full.
Mi Yin smiled and took the pile of "junk" from his arms. Mi Yin’s arms were longer, so he could still free up a hand to take An Jin’s and lead him forward. "Weren’t you resting in your room? Why did you run out? And... where did this pile of boxes come from?"
