Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill-Chapter 71: The Battle Beg- is Over?
"What is going on here? We all get 70 points just by defeating him?" all the lords looked at Neil, they were pleasantly surprised.
Not to mention, a few lords among them were even fake bronze, having filled others cores.
Their strength was certainly above bronze class, so their confidence was as high as the sky.
And finally...
[The battle begins...]
With a loud battle cry, dozens of the lords pounced at the sole figure, while many others used their abilities from distance.
Neil just stood still, his calm yet crazed eyes looking over all the figures, all their attacks and their weaknesses.
[Agility Lock Activated.]
The fastest lord, who was the first to reach Neil suddenly felt sluggish, half of his agility stolen.
Neil’s speed had increased greatly after the evolution, then two times increment and further addition of the stolen agility.
TAP
With a tap of his feet, his figure blurred disappearing from the sight of all the lords.
But for Neil, it felt as if everyone had slowed down, the attacks were moving slower than 0.25X.
He rotated the blade in his hands, their tips facing backward.
Without even going at full speed, he casually slashed their bodies, his hands swinging around as if they had grown a mind of their own.
This feeling, the power was truly too intoxicating.
Neil didn’t get careless still, continuously observing even as the blades kept cutting the lords.
One... Two... Three...
Neil counted in his mind, each swing of the blades reaped at least two lives.
They were all at the Bronze class rank yet the difference was astronomical.
Thirty eight... thirty nine...
SWISH
He saw a big guy standing near the rear, stomping on the ground, he jumped up and plunged half the blade into his forehead.
Then dragged it down, cutting him into two before delivering a horizontal slash.
Forty...
He looked at the remaining guys, his smile widening.
Pushing himself to the limit, his figure breezed past the remaining guys, as faint lines appeared over their bodies.
Fifty two!!
TAK
He flicked the blades, shaking off blood as he finally came to a stop right beside his original position.
BOOM
WHOOSH
BOOM
Dozens of attacks landed at the place he stood before, but all missed.
The more than fifty lords had not even noticed it properly as the thin lines on their bodies became thicker, then blood gushed out.
Several screams rang out as all the lords fell to the ground, all in pieces.
[You have won 70 points.]
[You have won 70 points.]
[You have won 70 points.]
...
[Total Points: 28,000]
[You have cleared the Bronze zone!]
[Would you like to move to the Silver Class?]
"Yes."
[Your opponents will now be at the Silver Class!]
Neil released a long breath, this was a nice warm up. But it still didn’t let him test his limits or see his weaknesses properly.
But silver class is much stronger than the bronze, so that would be really challenging.
Though just as the next opponent was about to appear, several figures suddenly jumped from somewhere above.
He only now remembered there was a stunned crowd watching him, all of them had their eyes and mouths opened as wide as saucers.
They were utterly speechless, shocked and terrified of the battle that had just occurred.
Most of them weren’t even able to see what had happened, it started and just... ended.
"I- Is this real? A classless really defeated so many bronze class lords?"
Even the haters had nothing to say now, Neil was just at the 1st Origin the previous day, so it was nearly impossible he had filled other cores already.
And it didn’t look like he depended on others for his achievements, or he wouldn’t be the 1st at the Global lord rankings.
"Let me break one of your hair and see if you are dreaming or not."
The bald guy suddenly pinched a bunch of the speaker’s head and tore them.
A fight broke among them, but no one really cared they looked at the pieces of the lords on the battle area which were slowly disappearing.
The strongest lords which were observing from the top were just as shocked.
Although his speed was still very slow in their eyes, but his potential seemed limitless.
The dragoness’s time was already up, she endured the pressure the world put on her as she hurriedly jumped down.
Cinthia and others followed along, and now over ten blurry figures stood before Neil.
"Oh you all want to compete with me?" the empress glanced back, and all the figures stepped back.
Neil looked at them in confusion, questioning Nemo in his mind, he still wanted to fight more.
’Who are these?’
"I am not sure about their real identities but they must be the rulers of various races who had come to recruit disciples."
Nemo quickly explained the reason and the process, even the fact why they had hidden their appearance.
Jane was not in the arena today, although she wanted to but was held back by other matters.
And she yet didn’t possess the strength to control everything, or even her life.
"Boy, accept me as your teacher, I am the empress of the dragons! I will make you the strongest lord!" the dragoness spoke, fighting against time.
She could feel the world’s forces rejecting her from this planet.
The empress could only curse her luck, she had arrived here too early and just enjoyed her vacation.
Yet now, she was being sent back, just when she needed to stay the most.
"No, accept me as your teacher, my race is not weaker than hers. I don’t have any other disciple, I can pour all my resources on you.
I will give you every opportunity there is!" Cinthia stepped forward and spoke in a hurry.
Neil was speechless as the two of them came onto him so aggressively, he was still considering if he should get a teacher or not.
’Nemo, what are the pros and cons of getting a teacher?’ he asked, not responding immediately.
"Pros, well there are many. You will have a strong backer, you get lots of resources, various opportunities which you might not even hear otherwise, fighting training, their help in difficult times and more.
As for cons, well depending on the contract you form with them.
It might limit your freedom, or make you their puppet, doing things you wouldn’t want to, like even killing your own people that is in case of bad contract.
But if the contract is good then, unless you are overly attached to your race and want to serve them to your last breath, there really is none."
Her explanation was rather easy to understand, so it was similar to signing any type of contract with any organization.
Just read the terms carefully.
’Hmm then I might as well get a teacher, if I have a strong backing then once I am out of Carceral Citadel, I can depend on them.’ After making his mind, he looked at all of them.
The others didn’t even get to participate so that left only two.
’The dragon empress and this unknown lord, hmm...’
Honestly, he was more inclined to this dragon lady, rather than testing his luck with the unknown.
But it also depends if he gets the right sort of contract, and the treatment.
Just like the saying goes, rather be the head of chicken than the tail of the phoenix.
If the dragons are too powerful then he might not be as precious to them, while the weaker group will put all their hopes on him.
’And here both are claiming to be strong, hm...’ let’s first hear what they have to say though.
"Boy, hurry up and agree, I am a little tight on the time." The dragoness urged, if possible she would have forcefully made him her disciple.
Cinthia was even more desperate, her freedom and life literally depended on it.
"Uh she doesn’t even stay in the Zoratian planet, how can she help you in need? I am still here and can support you fully!" she muttered.
"So, can I see the types of contracts you have for me? I can’t choose just based on your race’s name, what point is there if I become your slave?"
Neil finally spoke, his tone calm.
Both Cinthia and the empress were surprised, he didn’t seem nervous unlike all the other lords, just their presence could make most faint.
Though this statement made the snake princess happy, she was afraid he would choose the empress just by the dragon’s name.
’I have a chance too! If I succeed, I will be free from my parent’s grasp for a long time.’
Cinthia was pushed into a corner by her parents, that’s why such a powerful, proud and haughty figure was being so pushy.
Normally, she wouldn’t care even if the other party was the most talented, she rather focussed on personal growth.
"What contract? You just follow what I say and I will make you strong, the strongest lord in this planet! I have a few other disciples, you will get the best of the best." The dragon empress spoke proudly.
"..." Neil nodded, not saying anything he turned to face the other figure, giving her a chance.
’Hmm Did I make a mistake?’ the empress wondered, she has never needed to poach someone like this, so she might have not done it right.
"By the way, those disciples are all females...?" she added, maybe this would attract him.
Unfortunately for her, Neil wasn’t the type to let his lower body make big decisions for him.
He just waited for the other person to make a counter offer, he had high expectations from her for some reason.
"..." Cinthia smiled and began speaking.
