Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 627 - 653 Valentine’s Day
For every bit of love, there’s just as much tear.
For every depth of feeling, there’s just as much heartache.
It’s because of too much love, too much sincerity, that this moment, this pain, feels so heartbreaking...

Early on Valentine’s Day, still the second day of the New Year, Alice Conley just got up, wearing pink cat pajamas, yawning as she walked out of her room towards the bathroom, but she froze when she passed by the living room.
Dorian Howards was sitting on her family’s living room sofa early in the morning, chatting and laughing with her dad! Her mom was also there, enthusiastically telling Dorian to eat more fruits and snacks.
Alice blinked her eyes, then rushed over to the sofa, glaring at Dorian, "Why are you at my house?"
"Alice!" her mom frowned, seeing her daughter just waking up looking disheveled. Her hair was like a bird’s nest, and the cotton pajama made her look bulky!
Alice’s mom suddenly worried if her future son-in-law might want to reconsider after seeing her daughter looking like this, but she felt relieved seeing the future son-in-law looking unbothered.
Alice’s dad remarked, "It’s perfectly normal for Dorian to visit us, now go freshen up and change clothes before coming back!"
"Yes, yes! Quickly freshen up and change clothes," her mom also chimed in, not forgetting to say to Dorian, "Dorian, Alice doesn’t usually look like this."
Dorian chuckled, "Alice looks pretty cute like this too."
Alice rolled her eyes and was practically ushered into the bathroom by her mom.
After brushing her teeth, washing her face, tidying up her messy hair, and changing into a new set of clothes, Alice finally got her mom’s approval to meet others.
"Dorian, why did you come to my house so early?" Alice asked again when she came to the living room.
"Today is Valentine’s Day, of course I wanted to spend it with you," Dorian said with a smile.
Alice quickly said, "My family is busy visiting relatives today, but I’ll find time to buy some chocolate and mail it to you, ensuring you get it today!" Even if it means paying extra for the express delivery, she didn’t mind.
Before Dorian could answer, Alice’s mom anxiously intervened, "Child, what are you talking about? Why would you visit relatives on Valentine’s Day? Your dad and I will go, you and Dorian should have a good Valentine’s Day and come back later, it doesn’t matter."
Alice protested, "I go visiting with you every year, if I don’t go today, people will wonder why I’m not there and blame me."
"Your dad and I will explain the reason clearly, ensuring they won’t blame you!" her mom said.
Alice’s last resistance, "Mom, I’ve been keeping up with this wonderful tradition for years. Suddenly not going just because of Valentine’s Day might make people think I’m favoring romance over family."
"No one would be that petty, thinking so much. They would just be happy that you found a boyfriend," her mom reassured.
Alice’s dad concluded, "Alright, today you and Dorian should celebrate the holiday well. He left his family in Falling City to come to J City just to be with you, you should appreciate that!"
Alice’s hopes dashed, she immediately put on a look of utter boredom.
After packing up some things, Alice’s parents gave her a final reminder to entertain Dorian well before heading out the door.
