Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 626 - 652: Leaving
In the end, she still had to leave this place. When she was forced to move in here, she had fervently hoped that one day she could leave. Yet now that she truly could, her feelings were complex.
Having packed her luggage, Mabel Quinn looked around her room, then dragged her suitcase into the bedroom she and Kyle Kinston usually shared.
He wasn’t back in the room at the moment. She thought, perhaps this was for the best, at least it would reduce the awkwardness.
She didn’t have much in this room, just some daily necessities and her laptop. After packing her things, her gaze finally settled on the dressing table.
Originally, this bedroom didn’t have a dressing table. It was only after she moved in that he specifically got one for the room.
She opened the drawer of the dressing table and picked up a small box. When she opened it, a ruby ring caught her eye.
This was her wedding ring, but for her, there would no longer be a wedding.
One last time, just as a final remembrance for herself. She took the ring and put it on the ring finger of her right hand. Tears finally couldn’t be held back any longer, falling onto the red gemstone, appearing as if blood were flowing.
Her fingers lightly brushed the ring, recalling the stories he had told her about it, and how she had promised him they would surely live happily together.
But in the end, their relationship concluded with a breakup.
After a long while, she took a deep breath, removed the ring from her finger, and thought, "It’s time to wake up from this dream. Things that don’t belong to me should not be pondered upon anymore."
Dragging her suitcase to the top of the stairs, she struggled to carry the heavy luggage down step by step.
When she dragged her suitcase out of Kyle’s residence, the guards at the door noticed her clothing and suitcase, and were stunned. One of the guards asked, "Miss Quinn, where are you going? Does Mr. Kinston know?"
Mabel Quinn replied, "We have broken up, so I shouldn’t be coming back here anymore. Thank you all for looking after me during this time." She bowed to the guards at the entrance; after all, for these days, she had been one of the people under their protection.
The guards were bewildered by her words: "Broken up? This must be a joke; wasn’t Miss Quinn almost about to marry Mr. Kinston?"
However, Mabel Quinn didn’t offer any more explanations, she just dragged her suitcase away from Kyle’s residence and walked some distance before boarding a night bus.
The bus swayed as it drove, and Mabel Quinn only felt a sense of bewilderment about her future. All the futures she had envisioned were now like mirages, no longer existing. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
What she most needed to do now, perhaps, was to find a place for herself to stay.
After leaving Kyle’s residence, she didn’t even know where she should go. To her, she no longer had a home, as if in the whole wide world, she was alone.
After getting off the bus, Mabel Quinn dragged her suitcase to a convenient tavern. After paying 129 dollars for a room, she entered. Despite the room being small at 15 pings, it felt so empty. She curled up on the only sofa in the room and buried her face in her knees. Only at this moment did she truly burst into tears, crying out all of her emotions, grievances, and confusion.
