Chapter 278: Chapter 278: Potential to Be a Bad Woman

Cole Hawke served Elara Don some food, "Elly, eat a bit more."

Elara Don said nothing and chewed slowly.

Her silence surprised Cole Hawke a little.

He thought for sure she would refuse him, turning up her nose at him.

He didn’t expect her to quietly have dinner with him.

So, over time, she would surely come to accept him.

Cole Hawke smiled and was about to say something when he suddenly felt a wave of dizziness.

He hurriedly held onto the table and rubbed his temples.

Seeing this, Helen knew the drug was about to take effect.

She winked at Elara Don, who nodded in understanding, and quietly got up and left the room.

Next, it would be up to Helen.

They had specifically booked this private room.

Because outside was the dining area, and inside was a lounge.

Now, the drama was about to unfold.

The door closed, and Helen leaned closer to Cole Hawke and asked, "Mr. Hawke, what’s wrong? Are you drunk?"

Cole Hawke felt dizzy and hot all over.

He slowly raised his head to see Helen speaking, inhaling the feminine fragrance she exuded, feeling inexplicably parched.

The woman in front of him smiled seductively, like a hook was tugging at his heart.

He was unconsciously drawn to embrace her and steal a kiss.

Who was she?

A sharp-tongued woman, how could he have such thoughts about her?

And he hadn’t drunk much, so why was he feeling so dizzy?

Something was wrong!

There was something in his drink.

Who had put something in his drink?

Cole Hawke still had his wits about him, forcibly suppressing his inner desires, and pushed Helen away, looking around.

"Where’s Elly?"

Where did Elara Don go?

Why hadn’t he seen her?

"Elly went to the bathroom. Mr. Hawke, let me continue drinking with you."

Helen watched Cole Hawke’s increasingly dazed eyes and moved closer again.

Her feminine scent assaulted him once more, and her softness caused his scarcely controlled desires to rise again.

Cole Hawke’s Adam’s apple bobbed, slowly turning to look at the woman holding him, his reason crumbling by inches.

The woman before him morphed into the likeness of Elara Don, whom he pulled tightly into his arms, raising a hand to grip her chin.

"Elly, you’re mine."

The man’s kiss fell like a storm, fierce and passionate.

Helen’s eyes gleamed, though displeased at being a stand-in, she responded fervently.

The temperature in the air kept rising, and clothes fell to the floor...

Outside.

Elara Don pressed herself against the door, listening to the sounds inside, then glanced at her watch, swallowing with nervous anticipation.

There was noise inside; the two of them should be intimate by now.

With things going this way, it was time to catch them in the act!

Elara Don silently apologized, then took out her phone and dialed a number.

"Hello, is this Helen’s mother? I’m Helen’s friend, Charlotte Soo. Can you come to the Dister Club right now? Helen, she’s with a man..."

This was Helen’s idea.

After she and Cole Hawke had an encounter, she instructed me to call her mother.

Her mother was anxious about her lifelong happiness, and upon hearing she was with a man, would surely call upon family members to witness.

Then Cole Hawke would be forced to marry her.

And I could negotiate terms with him.

Two birds with one stone.

How clever of Helen!

"What do you mean? Did Helen and a man just..."

"Yes, but that man doesn’t seem to like her. It might be a fling, and he’ll probably cast her aside afterwards."

Elara Don feigned urgency and replied.

"What? How dare he treat my Helen like that? Charlotte, don’t leave; stay there and keep watch for me, okay? I’ll be right there."

"Alright, Auntie, are you coming alone? Do you want to bring some people to help? I’m worried that just the two of us might not be able to hold onto that man."

Elara Don said, concealing her conscience.

"Don’t worry, with Helen’s situation, her family cares deeply. Let’s see which fool dares to abandon my daughter?"

Helen’s mother hung up the phone after speaking.

Elara Don put away her phone, stuck out her tongue, and waited for them to arrive.

Seeing that it was still early, she headed to the bathroom.

Passing a corner, she accidentally bumped into someone.

"Watch out."

The person caught her to prevent her from falling.

"Sorry."

Elara Don quickly apologized, and when she looked up and saw who it was, she blinked.

"Benjamin?"

It was actually Benjamin Harper.

"Elly, what a coincidence; why are you here?"

Benjamin Harper was both surprised and delighted as he looked Elara Don up and down.

"I’m here to report back to the company. How about you?"

Elara Don was equally pleased to see an old acquaintance.

"I needed to attend an event related to a previous endorsement, so I came by."

Benjamin Harper responded with a smile.

Elara Don nodded, "Go on with your work."

"Alright, Elly, since we’ve run into each other here, why don’t I treat you to dinner tomorrow?"

Benjamin Harper considered, then tentatively asked.

Elara Don blinked and readily agreed, "Sure, let’s get in touch tomorrow."

Meeting a familiar face abroad was always delightful.

Having a meal and a chat sounded nice.

"Then I’m off to work."

Benjamin Harper hadn’t expected Elara Don to agree so quickly, a hint of a smile crossing his eyes.

Elara Don curved her lips, went to the bathroom, and then returned to the entrance of the private room.

About half an hour later, a group of people came bustling over.

"This must be it."

An out-of-breath middle-aged woman pointed at the room number on the door for those behind her.

Elara Don blinked and stepped forward to ask, "Hello, are you Helen’s mother?"

The middle-aged woman looked Elara Don up and down, "Yes, that’s me. Are you Charlotte Soo?"

"Yes, hello, Helen’s mother. Hello, everyone."

Elara Don glanced at the five or six people who had come along and greeted them politely.

"Miss Soo, is the man who bullied our Helen still in there?"

A plump middle-aged woman, who bore some resemblance to Helen’s mother, pointed at the private room door and asked.

"Yes, he’s still in there."

Elara Don nodded.

"What are we waiting for? Let’s get in there, today he must give us an explanation!"

The middle-aged woman rolled up her sleeves, ready to charge into the room with others.

Elara Don hurriedly stopped them.

"Um, don’t get too excited. Listen, they must not be wearing any clothes in there. Isn’t it inappropriate to barge in like this?"

Although it seemed more impressive to rush in as a group, it didn’t seem right for them to see everything inside.

"Charlotte is right, let’s wait outside for that guy to come out."

Helen’s mother thought for a moment and agreed.

Elara Don quickly nodded, showing her agreement.

"Helen’s mom, why don’t we book a room to sit in while we wait for him?"

"Alright."

Helen’s mother signaled someone to book a room, and Elara Don took a deep breath and secretly texted Helen.

It’s been over forty minutes; aren’t they done yet!
