Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 279: She Actually Plotted Against Him Like This
Elara Don sent the message and stared at her phone.
A moment later, a message came through on the phone.
"I’m in so much pain! Are my parents here yet? Come in."
She’s in so much pain!
The first time must be painful.
She went through a lot.
Elara felt a wave of guilt and then asked, "Are you all coming in? Have you put on your clothes?"
"For you, I’ll sacrifice a bit and go bare for a while."
These words were so moving.
Elara curled her lips into a smile and sent a heart emoji.
Putting away the phone, she looked at Helen’s family, who were chatting, and said to Helen’s mother, "Auntie, we don’t know how long we’ll be sitting around, why don’t we go in first and take a look?"
Helen’s mother thought for a moment and nodded, "Alright, I’ll go in with you. Listen to my instructions, everyone."
"Sure, sis, you go in first, we’ll wait by the door and come in if anything seems wrong."
A plump middle-aged woman replied.
"Okay, let’s go."
Helen’s mother looked at Elara, her expression serious.
Elara suppressed the unease in her heart and walked to the room’s door with Helen’s mother, turned the lock, and pushed the door open.
The room was just the same as before she left.
The dishes on the table were untouched.
Elara glanced inside and called out, "Helen, are you okay?"
There was a rustling sound, followed by Helen’s scream.
Elara and Helen’s mother exchanged a glance and both rushed inside.
"Helen, don’t be afraid, mom’s here."
Inside, Helen was covering her chest with a quilt, her face streaked with tears.
Cole Hawke lay asleep on the bed, eyes closed.
The quilt only covered his lower body, revealing his bare upper body.
"Mom, Charlotte, I, he, sob..."
Helen covered her mouth, pretending to cry.
Elara quickly handed her clothes, comforting her continuously, "It’s okay, Helen, don’t cry."
This act they were putting on, it was really sinful!
"Helen, did this bastard bully you? He’s sleeping soundly!"
Helen’s mother looked around, turned, and went to the dining table to get some water.
Then she quickly walked to the bedside and splashed it directly on Cole Hawke.
"Bastard, daring to bully my daughter! Wake up already!"
Elara and Helen watched dumbfounded, swallowing hard.
What a fierce mother!
The people waiting outside heard the commotion and rushed in.
"Who the hell bullied our Helen? Watch me teach him a lesson!"
"Yeah, daring to bully our Helen, he has to pay!"
Helen’s family was making a ruckus, eager to beat Cole Hawke to death.
Elara swallowed hard, looking sympathetically at Cole Hawke on the bed.
Cole Hawke had been awakened by the water. He looked at the crowd chattering around him, confused.
Where was he?
What happened?
"Awake now? You damned kid, did you get drunk and bully our Helen? Speak up!"
Helen’s mother raised a pillow to hit Cole Hawke.
Cole instinctively got up to block the incoming pillow, and as he raised his hand, he noticed he was completely naked.
His expression changed immediately, quickly wrapping himself in the quilt.
"Stop hitting me! Let me speak!"
Cole Hawke shouted, looking at Helen who was already dressed and sitting at the foot of the bed.
Fragments of memory flashed through his mind.
He embraced her, plundering wildly, feeling her beautiful bloom.
But he clearly remembered the person he saw was...
"Helen, I, I with you..."
He had mistaken Helen for Elara and had relations with her!
But this wasn’t of his own will; someone had set him up!
Helen stayed silent, bit her lip, and ran into her mother’s arms.
Helen’s mother quickly soothed her gently.
Behind her, family members shouted, "You little punk, you bullied our Helen, what are you going to do about it? Do you plan to take responsibility?"
Should he take responsibility for Helen?
But he didn’t love her at all!
Cole Hawke’s face turned grim, "What responsibility? I was set up."
He had just arrived in Country F, who could be scheming against him?
"Kid, are you a man or not? You slept with my niece and pretend to be innocent? Don’t want to take responsibility? Fine, then let’s go to the police station!"
"Right, this bastard, really thinks our Helen can be easily bullied? Wants to take advantage for nothing, I’ll call the police now."
"Yeah! Call, quickly call the police, let’s have this bastard thrown in jail."
"..."
Helen’s relatives were filled with righteous indignation, and the plump middle-aged woman had already taken out her phone.
Helen opened her mouth, a hint of urgency flashing across her face.
Cole Hawke looked grim, with a sense of humiliation and helplessness.
Elara, who had been recording a video, quickly spoke up when she saw this.
"Auntie, please don’t rush. Why don’t you all step out first, let me and Helen talk to him?"
They weren’t really going to have Cole Hawke sent to jail!
The situation had been sufficiently heated.
"Mom, listen to Charlotte, you and aunt and uncle, you all can step out first."
Helen pushed her mother, gesturing outward with her lips.
Helen’s mother looked at her, then at Cole Hawke, and nodded.
"Alright, you can talk among yourselves, Helen, don’t be afraid, we’ll make the decisions for you."
"Okay."
Helen nodded, watching the elders go out.
As the room quieted down, Elara saw that Cole Hawke was still shirtless and quickly averted her eyes.
"Cole Hawke, you should put on your clothes before speaking."
Cole glanced at her, his face full of embarrassment.
Being caught red-handed by the woman he loved, all his reputation was ruined.
What exactly happened here?
"Cole Hawke, I never thought you’d lose control after drinking. So, what do you plan to do now?"
After Cole put on his clothes, Elara spoke.
"Elly, I told you, I was set up, someone spiked my drink, I’m a victim here too." Cole frowned, explaining once again.
"Doesn’t matter if you were set up, the fact remains that you slept with Helen."
Elara looked at him directly, without beating around the bush, "Cole Hawke, I have all the evidence. If you don’t want to go to jail, make a deal with me."
Make a deal with her?
Cole Hawke stared at Elara for a while and finally asked with difficulty, "Elly, did you set me up?"
"That’s right, I put the stuff in your glass."
Elara didn’t deny it.
Cole Hawke’s expression became grimmer by the second.
"Why? Why did you do this?"
"Do you really not know why I did this? Weren’t you the one who forced me?"
Elara shook the phone in her hand, "Cole Hawke, I need you to keep the secrets you know buried and not mention them to anyone. If you dare tell someone, then be prepared for prison."
The woman’s gaze was clear, her face determined.
Cole Hawke stared at her, his eyes full of humiliation and hurt.
For Damon Hawke, she actually set him up like this!
