"Boss!" Assistant Zoe hurriedly came over and grabbed Ruby Sullivan’s arm, "You’re using the wrong essential oil."

In a daze, Ruby looked at what was in her hands, and couldn’t help but let out a long breath. If Zoe had been just ten seconds slower, at least a week’s work would have been ruined.

"Boss, you don’t look so good today. How about you go home and rest?" Zoe suggested.

Ruby had already arrived at work later than usual and within an hour had made three mistakes. Clearly, her mind was elsewhere, not in the right state.

Ruby knew that forcing herself to continue would only lead to more mistakes. She pulled off her gloves and said, "I’m going to get some air."

Her mind was filled with the scene of Ethan Sterling’s proposal. She could see he was serious, and the disappointment on his face was real. It was precisely because she could see it that made her even more fearful.

Seeing that it was about lunchtime, she went directly to Metamorphosis Studio to find Sasha Shaw.

When she was in Caelus, she hadn’t returned to the country. Sasha was worried about her. They had a video call once, and she was the only "outsider" who knew about Ethan’s accident.

Sasha’s assistant Lara recognized Ruby and immediately took her to Sasha’s office. Through the glass wall, she could see Sasha’s busy silhouette.

"Wenny, can you please advise Chloe? She hasn’t left the office for three days, spending all her time on work except for eating and basic needs. Sometimes she can’t even bother to eat the takeout left for her. If she continues like this, her body won’t be able to bear it." Lara said, full of concern and worry as she looked at Sasha’s back.

"I got it." Ruby smiled at Lara and quickly walked towards her office. The door wasn’t locked, so she just opened it and went in. Even though she didn’t lighten her actions, Sasha was so busy with her work that she didn’t notice another person enter the office.

Looking at her back, Ruby’s mind flashed to the girl in their college days who vowed to become a top designer. She suddenly felt that these years had not been easy for either of them. No one’s success comes just by luck.

"Dear?" She called out softly, afraid of startling her.

Despite her caution, Sasha was still taken by surprise and pricked her finger with a needle. She yelped and instinctively raised her hand, worried her blood would stain the clothes.

"Are you okay?" Ruby hadn’t expected to scare her and quickly went over to check on her.

When Sasha saw who it was, her scrunched-up features relaxed at once. "It’s okay, it’s okay. Little Ruby, why are you here?"

Ruby exhaled, scrutinizing her with exaggerated disapproval, wrinkling her nose, "Chloe the Designer, how long has it been since you showered? Your hair is greasy enough to fry food, and you..."

Sasha pulled at her sweater and sniffed, "I can’t smell anything?"

Ruby linked arms with her, dragging her out, "Of course you can’t. You’re too close to see clearly. I’m not in a good mood today. Hurry up and keep me company to have some fun."

"Hey, I have work to do!" Sasha was still protesting but Lara came over smiling, "Chloe, don’t worry about it and just rest. I’ll lock the office door securely."

Sasha’s head was spinning, a bit lightheaded, she didn’t react in time, only feeling like in the blink of an eye, Ruby had shoved her into the elevator.

The two first went to a nearby wellness center for a full-body spa, freshened up, then ran to a restaurant to feast.

I must admit, after being "tortured" by the masseuse, there was indeed a feeling of complete relaxation.

Once seated in a quaintly styled Chinese restaurant, they ate and chatted, and Sasha finally noticed the ring on Ruby’s hand, immediately dazzled.

"This morning, Ethan Sterling proposed to me."

"Oh my god!" Sasha’s eyes sparkled with excitement. Although Ruby Sullivan had been married to Ethan Sterling twice before, this time it’s truly for love! Of course, she felt happy for her friend.
