Chapter 51: A disco night - II

Evelyn was not someone who would love to go to parties and clubs but she had been so bored that she was ready to step into the club and dance the night off.

So when she was given the chance by her friend Giovanni, she took it.

As the day was finally over for her she found Julien standing in the parking lot and as he noticed her, which was immediate, he opened the door for her.

Evelyn knew that he was the one who was going to be driving around so once he backed the car and the car was on the road she told him her plans for tonight.

"Julian, will you be available to drive me around in the evening or will someone else be replacing you?"

Julian did not take his eyes off the road as he replied, "it depends on what you need me for, Ma’am."

"I need to go to a club tonight with my friend. Would you be available? Because we might end up getting out of there in the morning hours." Evelyn was not sure about that but she want the man just so she would not take away his sleep.

Julian eyes met hers through the rear view mirror and Evelyn could not help but have a shiver run down his spine at the look he gave her. Even though the eyes were emotionless she knew that something was going on in his mind.

"Forgive me for stepping forward, but have you asked the don for his permission?" His words were carefully chosen but it still offeneded Evelyn slightly.

She calmy replied, "I did not know I had to ask his permission to go out. It’s just night out at the club. I would tell him before leaving."

Instead of agreeing with her, Julian shook his head, "I am aware of you in the protection of the family. I would suggest until you move out you ask for the permission of the head of the household."

Evelyn powdered slightly at that. She did not really want to ask for permission from someone so dangerous. It seemed as if it was such a little thing and she would be bothering him there but perhaps. . .

"Julian, what do you think will happen if I do not?" She stepped a little further to ask him the question.

The car slowly came to a stop as the light turns red. This time Julian turned slightly to look at her. "I don’t think that you are not aware."

Evelyn had made the dinner just as she promised salvator in the morning. She had even placed a bottle of wine in the fridge. That was something Evelyn was going to take out once the don arrived so that it would be served chilled.

Her eyes went to the clock again. It was ticking slowly and slowly. They were still five minutes for it to struck eight in the evening. Her hands felt clammy. What was she nervous about anyway?

It had been five minutes past eight when the the lift doors opened and Salvatore walked in. He glanced at the table where the food was kept and then at Evelyn, "I’ll be down in 5 minutes."

Evelyn nodded and her eyes remained trained on the man as he moved upstairs and disappeared. Just as he said, Salvatore was walking down stairs after tie minutes with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and his tie and jackets gone.

The man still manage to look hot. The buttons on his chest for an done and Evelyn could not help but look away. She was practically eye harassing the man.

She gulped as he watched his hand grip the edge of the chair and pull it back. She could see the outlines of veins in his arm and godamn it baby, she looked away.

Salvatore look at her and Evelyn understood what he wanted her to do. She immediately pick up the bowl nearest to her and serve their cell first then proceeded to do the same with the others. Once she was done, Salvatore did the same.

Once she found him eating with the wine that she had brought out after he had gone upstairs she placed her fork down and ran her sweaty hands over her skirt before opening her mouth and asking him the dreaded question. "I was thinking of going to a club with my friends."

"And?" He asked without looking up.

Evelyn stuttered slightly to find the right word. What did he mean by and? "Um . . I would be back by midnight?" What was she to say?

He straightened up and leaned against the chair as he now stared at her. Those eyes kind of haunted her with how emotionless they could be. "What I mean to ask you is who are you going with?" He clarified as he talked very slow like he was talking to a dimwit.

"Oh, um, gio and some friends." She answered.

"Friends?"

She nodded. "We can’t exactly be called friends but more like associates because our fathers have been together forever. So we all have kind of grown up with each other and we understand what our life implicates."

Most of the houses have children around the same age which only made them study in one school that was meant for the children belonging to crime organisations and not only that, but they all seemed to be revolving around each other because of their parent’s businesses with each other and their mother’s friendships.

Salvatore nodded. "I need you to text me the name of the club that you will be going to."

First of all, Evelyn was slightly surprised that he did not ask more about her friends rather left it like that.

"Okay," Evelyn said agreeing to him as she picked up her fork. After this she was going to go to the club with the belly filled with food so that she did not have the worst hangover of all.

Evelyn twirled around in front of the mirror to get a good look on herself before leaving. She wore a tight yet small leather skirt and maroon full sleeves top that had deep cleavage. A very deep one, she now realised but went along with it because it looks perfect with the Chanel bag that she carried.

The high heels for something that complemented her legs and open hair with beachy waves gave her the Messy look that she desired with the brown smokey look that she had created along with maroon lipstick that was the exact colour of her shirt.

She opened her purse to check the contents. She had a wad of cash along with her cards and her cellphone and a small charger, a portable one, that she carried along with her everywhere.

Evelyn was good to go. She walked out of the room but did not find Salvatore anywhere. Since he had given her his number at the end of the dinner and she texted him that she was leaving before giving him the name of the club that all her friends had decided to go to.

Julian was not there for her as his duties were from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and could be extended only an hour or so. So she was going to be driven around by someone else whose name was Tino.

"Hello," Evelyn greeted him before sitting in the car in which the man replied with a nod of his own. "Do you know where club La Tore is?"

He nodded and they drove off.

Evelyn felt some kind of nervousness bubbling inside her but did not understand why. She had been to clubs many times but perhaps the absence of her father and his protection was getting to her.

The moment they stop in front of the club Evelyn felt a new shiver of excitement. She was finally going to be out and this was going to be a good experience.

"Thank you, Tino," Evelyn nodded at him, "where will I find you?" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"Right here ma’am," she answered as he parked the car right next to the basement.

Evelyn found when she saw him do that. "Is that allowed?"

"Yes, ma’am. It is." He answered as he got out of the car and opened the door. Evelyn got out but she noticed that Tino followed her. He nodded at the bouncer who immediately let Evelyn inside who was slightly shop at what happened. Was that supposed to happen?

Nevertheless, she walked inside and sat on a bar stool which was thankfully empty when she reached to it. Pulling out her phone, she dailed the number of her friend Giovanni.

He picked it up after several rings, "where are you?" Evelyn set as the first thing just as he picked up and shouted a hello.

"In the line," he shouted, "why, where are you?"

"Inside," she answred back.

"What? We don’t have reservations Evelyn, how did you get inside?" She could practically see his frown from here.

"I don’t know," she answered instead, "but I’ll wait for you, find me at the bar." She said before hearing his goodbye and packing her phone. Seemed like she was waiting so might as well order herself a martini.
