Chapter 126: A check up in a church - II

Salvatore was dressed up in a button-down shirt and pants even before it was time for him to go to church.

He was ready for the tasks that were the last in the road to be completed for him to have at least three weeks off for his honeymoon.

The only thing that he had to take care of was finishing the prisoners and ending those Chapters so that he could begin new ones for himself.

"Are you sure that you need to be doing this on your wedding day?" Lucas asked as he had entered the apartment and into Salvatore’s bedroom. On noticing the emptiness around he could not help but ask, "are you redecorating?’

"No," Salvatore sat down on the edge of the bed and slid his socks on. "I am moving out and into a house."

"Oh?" Lucas chuckled, "Salvatore D’alessandro, the proud owner of a house?"

Salvatore grunted in return.

"Is that how you are with Evelyn? You might want to use a few words instead of those grunts." Lucas clicked his tongue. "I hope you know sexual satisfaction is not going to work long and that is if you are capable enough for it."

"I am more than—" Salvatore bit his tongue after that. Giving one look to Lucas, it was clear that his elder brother was having fun riling him up.

Salvatore shook his head and away from his system. This was not the first time this had happened. Lucas always found it to be fun to rile him up. The only thing he could do was ignore his brother like he always did.

"I have work to do," said as he stood up with issues on and pocketed his phone along with his wallet. "Why don’t you go and poke a patient?"

Lucas rolled his eyes in irritation. "First of all that is not what doctors do and second this is your wedding day. Also, the fact that this is 4 a.m. and what is it, possibly, that you can do at this time?"

"I have loose ends to tie up." Salvatore did not wait around to tell us what was going on as he muttered his words under his breath as he walked out of the room and descended the stairs making his brother follow him. "If I want to have three weeks on my own without my father going up on my ass, I gotta make sure that most of my work is done."

"Which is where I come in," Dante entered the penthouse from the left. "You know you do not need to do the extra work. I can take over along with your second-in-command.’

Dante was dressed the same way as Salvatore was. He was wearing a button-down shirt along with pants and not his full 3 piece suit that he would wear daily.

He stepped further into the empty apartment but ended up giving it a thorough look around, "is the house fully furnished yet?"

"Will be when I come back," Salvatore answered effortlessly before grabbing a drink with 3 glasses and handing them to each man.

Pouring each of them a glass of scotch he raised his glass, "To family, loyalty, and respect." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"To family, loyalty, and respect." They repeated behind him clinking the glass together and taking a sip.

Another gunshot went around the warehouse and Salvatore tsked tightly in array rotation as he felt another splash of cloud over his face. His clothes were an entirely different story.

He reached over into his pocket and pulled out his handkerchief Before he wiped his face.

"I don’t understand the need for this to be done today," Dante said loudly as he stood beside him before finishing off another traitor. "This is your wedding day. Should we not kill anyone?"

Salvatore shrugged. "Everything is under control. What is it that can go wrong on my wedding day?"

Nothing could go around on his wedding day. He looked at the bodies of the dead men that he had just kids to get rid of. He did not want his father to find out that he had been slacking on killing people. It was fun to watch them cower knowing that the next day could be in there but it was also a little thing that he had forgotten about.

Angelo would have his ass if he knew but in Salvatore’s defense, other important tasks needed to be done.

"Alright," Salvatore nodded before turning around and walking out of the basement. His eyes caught the sight of Julian who was lingering in the doorway.

"What is it?" He grunted when he noticed that Julian had something to say.

"Ms. Bianchi—"

"Again,"

"Mrs. Alessandro fainted yesterday when she went back to her maternal house."

Salvatore stiffened for a second before he realized that he had not been informed about this by Evelyn or his mother who had taken away into her maternal house. "What happened?"

Julian gulped slightly, "the doctor could not take the test because he did not have the equipment there but he advised to exercise more—"

"Was my mother there when that happened?"

Julian gave a curt nod. "I believe as Liam told me it was Mrs. Alessandro who asked your mother not to reveal the information to you."

And of course, his mother who had been an advocate for civilian rights decided that it was not important for him to know.

Salvatore clit his tongue in frustration. When would she understand it was important for them to know everything that happened no matter how big or small?

"Does my father know?" He had to ask even though he knew that Liam would have told his father as well.

Julian nodded.

Why was he getting to know this on his wedding day? Evelyn needed a health check-up and he was no longer going by the bull shit that she had cervical pain and whatever the fuck it was.

He waved it off, "make sure to have a Dr with everything at the Church. She will have a check-up there."
