Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 125: A check-up in a churChapter - I
It was maybe one day away from the wedding. It was late in the evening and just after dinner that Evelyn had returned to her room in the house of the senior Alessandro’s.
Now she was standing in front of the mannequin that held her wedding dress.
It was a beautiful dress inside out. The fabric was strong enough to have alterations in it again and the cloth added to it along with the patterns that they had decided was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
Evelyn let an excited chuckle out. She was getting married tomorrow and this was the most exciting event that could have happened to her.
"Married," she muttered to herself as she lightly touched the material of the dress. She was going to get married, it was all going to be perfect and she could not be happier.
She smiled before she felt the tiredness and fatigue return to her.
For today Evelyn had an explanation. She had been around the venue looking for last-minute changes and saying if everything was up to the mark. They had tested the food that was going to be made for tomorrow, looked through decorations, and decided for the cake is it was the cake or not.
Now she could feel her shoulders starting to ache along with her lower back and his feet were a completely different story.
Without missing a beat knowing that she had to wake up early tomorrow morning Evelyn brushed her teeth and without washing her face, Evelyn went directly to bed, slipping into a deep slumber almost immediately.

"Up! Up! Up!" Bella Rosa burst into the room and jerked Evelyn awake. " It’s your wedding day!"
Evelyn’s eyes moved to the time clock in a hurry. Was she late already?
3:45 AM.
"Bella!" Evelyn whined. "Why would you wake me up so early?"
Bella grinned. "Because this is a pamper time."
And true to her word, it was a pamper time.
From mini hair spa stations to manicures and pedicures, everything was available making Evelyn’s eyes pop out of her head.
"What’s all of this?" Mesmerized, her eyes went everywhere and in every corner of the room to see what else was equipped with.
"This is everything a bride needs to be showered with," Bella answered as she hugged Evelyn from the side. "You have a manicure and pedicure along with a hair spa on your end and you have facials and anything else that you want."
She kissed the cheek, Evelyn. "You deserve it all just like my brother’s bride does, just like my sister does."
Sister. Oh, how wonderful the word sounded. It was like heaven to her ears.
She controlled the burn in her eyes. The building up of tears was something she could feel from far away. "It’s fine." She waved it off and dabbed her tears away when Bella’s excited expressions softened.
"Oh love," Bella wrapped her arms around Evelyn before squeezing her into a hug. "Don’t worry. You’re going to have three siblings now and you are going to be so irritated with us because you would love to go back to your old life." She whispered as she continued to squeeze the life out of Evelyn.
The latter let out a Chuckle. Bella could not be more wrong here. If anything Evelyn was going to love it even more.
Before long, she sat in between a bunch of ladies with her nails being tended to by a woman who had handed Evelyn a catalog to choose from.
And she chose a blush nail color with silver sparkles.
The women immediately got to work and Evelyn felt someone rake their hands through her hair.
Turning around she found that it was another woman who was wearing a black apron and was ready to give her hair spa.
"Enjoying it?" Alexis came with her cup of hot coffee and sat beside Evelyn. She had a little smile on her face as she continued, "is there anything else that you want? Why are your hands empty? Has no one asked you for any beverage or something to eat?" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
They had. "I’ve already had my fill." Evelyn shook her head.
"I would tell you to load up on that coffee. This day is going to be very long for you." Alexis winked. "It is going to go on and on and on."
Evelyn chuckled, not believing her.
*****
She should have believed Alexis.
The day had barely begun. After some time, as they called it, the pamper time had passed away to the rush hour.
The next thing she knew was the wedding planner arrived and the seating arrangement was to be looked over.
"Now, the Mancini’s are your family friends but they are sitting before your family, your relatives, do we want to change that?" The planner pointed to the chairs on the paper.
Evelyn knew what she was talking about. After all, she was the one who did this. Deliberately, if she had to say it.
"No," she whispered, shaking her head. "We don’t need to do that. My father had friendships with these people," she pointed to the chairs where she had placed the families that had been there for her. "They need to be close."
This was the last tribute.
"Oh and," the planner pointed to one specific Chair, "I was told about your mother. Is it okay for her to sit here?"
Mother? Evelyn scowled. "What mother?"
The planner looked taken aback. "The blonde? Long hair and .."
"My stepmother." Evelyn corrected her. "That is my stepmother." She said again before her eyes moved to where that woman had been placed.
It was a long tableware Salvatore and Evelyn were setting as the heads. On Salvatore’s side, his family was sitting and on hers, it was barely covering any space which is why they had decided on going for a round table.
"Let Antonio and his wife sit before my stepmother," Evelyn concluded and that was the rest of it. They went through a minor detail about nothing major in particular and before long Evelyn found herself in the venue and front of her wedding dress.
