Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 127: The beautiful blonde bride - I
"What?!" Evelyn practically spat the word out as she was being squeezed tighter in the dress.
Originally there was no plan to include a corset but as it turned out to be she had gained a little weight in the past month which meant that her measurements were wrong and the dress was tight.
"What do you mean that he wants her to do a checkup an hour before the wedding?!" Bella Rosa chuckled at the audacity of Julian. "How the fuck is she supposed to give a test while the others are waiting downstairs for the bride to enter and she’s not even ready!"
That was right. She was barely ready and the dress on the top of it was not fitting. This was the worst thing that could happen on her wedding day. Thankfully, it was Alexis who had suggested getting ready before the time.
Nikita shook her head too. "Do you even understand what you are talking about Julian?"
Julian was resolute here. "Mrs. Alessandro is not well and has not been for quite a time. The don just once had to take a test to make sure that she is safe for travel."
Evelyn hissed as the corset strings were tightened again. "Is it not done already?"
Bella hissed through her teeth. "no, and trust me I am trying my best here. Why would you not lose weight when you knew you were supposed to get married?"
"Not everyone can keep control on their diet," Alexis walked out of the adjoining bathroom and made a beeline to Evelyn and Bella Rosa. " Give me those and let me try." Without even waiting for an answer by her child Alexis pushed her away and focused on rearranging the strings.
"Allow me too," Fabriza, Antonio’s wife, also joined Alexis.
Antonio was the man who Evelyn had decided as someone to walk down the aisle. He was the only one that could be said was closest to her father and did not think of doing ill behind his back.
He was also the only one who she could trust would actually have her back. Also the fact that he had proved it when after her father’s passing and the organisation being passed over to someone else he had stuck around to make sure Evelyn was relocated safely and securely into the house of the family that offered her protection.
Evelyn twisted her face into a pained expression and her eyes met with the man who was standing in the corner of the room near the door. Julian was waiting patiently with his hands clasped in front of him.
"Where is the doctor? Is he here already?" The words could barely get out of her throat without the material felt against chest. Thankfully she would take the core set of after the wedding ceremony and during the wedding ceremony she would not have to sit.
Julian nodded. "He is in the adjacent room mum. He’s just here to take your blood."
Maybe if she could have some blood out of her body, the dress would hopefully fit.
"Done." Fabriza muttered before tapping Evelyn’s back firmly. "All done."
Evelyn gave them a grateful nod before slipping on her shoes and walking to where Julian was standing. He opened the door for her and to correct the adjacent room where the doctor was waiting for her.
"Good evening, Mrs. Alessandro," the doctor stood up, "I apologize for disturbing your—"
"I understand," she cut him off, "but I hope you understand that I need to get it over with because I am in the middle of getting ready." She rushed the words out with an apologetic smile on her face. She still had to get her hair done which were down her back blow dry but not there yet ready in a bun that she wanted it to be in.
Also the fact that her face was bare of any makeup and just had a tinted moisturizer on. She still had to get ready and the only trying that she had done was where the dress and that alone had taken her 30 minutes.
"I do understand," the doctor applied before immediately going into action. He pulled out a syringe and a small paper bag.
He took blood from her arm where she had to pull up her sleeve and then he took her middle finger where he punctuated with the very small needle and took to swaps on a glass.
"There we go," he said once he packed everything away. "Congratulations and best of luck." He smiled and Evelyn gave him one of her own.
Going back into the room, everyone sprang into action on seeing the bride enter. On one hand someone was making her hair into the gorgeous hairstyle that she had chosen and on the other people were rubbing brushes and foundation on her face.
She felt irritation built-in and not only that, the fatigue was creeping in as well.
Hopefully nothing will go wrong at the wedding and she would have a beautiful wedding life which would be happily ever After.
In her ring finger there was no ring anymore. The ring that Salvatore had given her earlier had been taken out and would be given to her when he officially gave her a drawing as her husband.
"You look beautiful Evelyn," Fabriza whispered as she sat on her side. "Dare I say what your father would have, you look more beautiful than your mother."
Evelyn chuckled but the makeup artist immediately started to fan her face. "Oh no I can see the tears building up. Please don’t cry!"
Evelyn would never.
After what seemed like hours, she was finally standing next to Antonio, the man that she had chosen to work her down the aisle and in front of the doors of the Church hall.
The bride arrived and played loudly but was muffled by the huge, thick doors.
"Are you ready, my child?" Antonio turned sideways to Evelyn who was breathing slightly heavily.
She nodded to him. "I am."
