Jane Sampson would warmly invite everyone to join her for a meal, but nobody in Capital Province would take her up on it, whether they were out of town or not. Those who were in town and knew that James Black was sure to be home didn’t dare to freeload a meal.

After lunch, Jane Sampson received a call from Rock Bell. Rock Bell wasn’t urging Jane to return for training but raised a different matter with her.

"Can you spare some time this evening or tonight to come out with me? It’s not far, just in the neighboring city. It’s a two-hour trip by express train, and there’s an audition opportunity tomorrow morning. I pulled some strings and secured a chance for you," Rock Bell said. "Although it’s just for a minor role, this drama is a big production, so landing a minor role would be a significant starting point for you."

"I can! I can!" Jane could hardly contain her excitement, nearly dropping the spatula, "I’ll be free after I eat lunch and pack up some stuff."
