Zaleena started the process of creating another Star and Circle to break through to the Mystic stage. Her mana was abundant, and her body was strong. She truly believed she would be able to reach the final stage and make history.

Zion sat back and watched nervously. He had researched extensively about the breakthrough process and the recurring factor that pleauged every person who attempted to break through to the mystic stage was their body collapsing on itself.

It was similar to filling up a small balloon with too much water. It can expand, but eventually, it will pop. But in this case, Zaleena was a large balloon, maybe even a massive one. So hopefully, she met the threshold needed to break through.

"Worried?" Reina asked, landing right next to Zion after flying all the way to the forest.

"A bit. This can literally go only two ways. She lives, or she dies. I wanted her to wait, but she wasn’t having it."

"Haha, you know, mom and auntie, they’re cultivation nuts."

"I know. Well, what’s done is done, and all we can do is hope for the best." Zion sat down and leaned against a tree.

"Just believe in her."

"Oh, I believe in her. That’s not what worries me. It’s the unknown that worries me. I don’t like knowing nothing. I need to know something. And the only thing I know is negative, and comparing this with dragons won’t be helpful."

Reina sat down next to Zion and placed his head on her shoulder. "Worrying about it won’t do anything. Just trust the process."

After a little while, the mana in the area started to be absorbed into Zaleena’s body at a rapid rate. She absorbed so much that the mana density shifted, getting lighter and lighter each second.

So much was being absorbed in one go that Zion and Reina could visibly see the mana being sucked into their mother’s body.

"She’s started." Reina noticed.

"Really now? I thought she was just absorbing all that mana just to spit it back out."

"Is that sass I hear coming from your mouth, little brother?"

Before Zion responded, he remembered one crucial piece of information. His sisters were now Ascendant cultivators. So, instead of saying anything smart, he decided to keep things civil.

"No its the sound of me eating a fucking piece of chicken. Obviously, I’m being sarcastic, stupid." His eyes widened after he finished speaking. He looked down, a wry smile across his face, and accepted his fate.

Zion jolted out of his sleep, pulling out his sword, and looked around to see what had happened.

"What was that? An explosion? Are we under attack?!"

"Calm down, it’s just Mom breaking through. She formed her ring and star, so now she’s consolidating it into herself."

Zion’s eyes grew wide once he saw his mother floating above the ground. The mana around her was warping and was so intense that anything that came close was instantly vaporized.

"She’s...This is the last part! If she’s able to consolidate them, then she’ll break through! She’ll be in the mystic stage! Wait! She made it! She’s past the point where people would normally die!"

Zion was elated. All of his preparation worked. This wasn’t just a mere discovery, this was something that could change the course of history. And the ideas already forming in his head were running wild.

"Ha..haha....hahaahahaha.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA! Reina! Imagine an army of Mystic Stage Knights and Mages! We’ll be unstoppable! Not even the dragons would be able to beat us! Ohhhhhh! The dragons! I’ll make sure every member of Heaven’s Bane is in the Mystic Stage before we attack them! Haha! I’m so fucking awesome!"

Another burst of mana knocked Zion off his feet, and he fell into his sister’s bust.

"Ugh, sorry."

"It’s okay. You can stay there if you want. I know how much you like boobs." She smirked, grabbing his head and pushing it further into her chest.

"As much as I’d like that," He spoke, his voice muffled. "I want to see Mom break through first. We can do this some other time."

"Don’t leave me waiting too long."

"Sure, sure. Anyway, do you feel it? The raging mana is calming down. She’s at the last step now." Zion was anticipating what his mother’s power would feel like after breaking through. He knew she would be significantly stronger, but how much stronger was unknown.

After a few more minutes, the mana completely calmed, and Zaleena’s body surged with mana one last time before her breakthrough was completed.

She looked the same. A bit more majestic, maybe? She looked even younger than before but was still very mature and seductive-looking as she normally was. Her power also jumped so high that Zion and Reina could barely sense it, and the little they could sense sent shivers down their spine.

"Woah, she really reached the Mystic Stage. Her power is giving me chills." Reina said, stopping her hand from shaking.

Zion nodded, agreeing with his sister. "No kidding. And this is just the inept stage. Imagine how strong she’ll be once she reaches the peak." Zion couldn’t even imagine the strength difference between the inept and peak stages. His mind could barely wrap around how strong she currently was.

Zaleena slowly descended from the air, touching back down on the ground. But as soon as her toes touched the dirt, a disgustingly powerful wave of mana descended onto her children, crushing them under the uncontrolled presence of her power.

Slowly, Zaleena opened her eyes, and once she did, she immediately went into panic mother mode.
