Chapter 169: Chapter 169

Zion told Luna to take their daughter and head back to one of the rooms for the time being. A bit after she left, the area that was destroyed started repairing itself automatically.

"I tell her to take things slow. Don’t rush anything. And what does she do? Rush the entire fucking process." There was a reason why Zion didn’t try to undergo Body Reconstruction even after a year, and that was because he was researching ways to make the overall process easier.

He remembered back to their conversation about how she was desperate to get stronger so she wouldn’t fall to a demon ever again. Even after reaching the Peak of the Transcendant Stage, combined with his mana method and holy power, she still wasn’t content with the power she had. Which was fair considering the enemies they’ll have to go up against. But having patience wouldn’t hurt.

"Mom? Mom, are you okay?" Zion looked around the dust-filled training hall, searching for his mother. He could feel mana everywhere, which made it difficult for him to sense where she was. It was as if she were all around him.

’Oh shit! Did she blow up, and all her body parts are scattered around the room? Is that why I can sense her everywhere?’

[Calm down, you idiot, she’s walking toward you right now.]

"Oh, thank god. Mom, don’t scare me like...that. Mom?" The woman who stood in front of Zion was not his mother. Well, she looked like his mother, but she was young, extremely beautiful, and...and naked.

"Zion, I feel incredible! This...This power! It’s out of this world!" Zaleena didn’t even notice her new appearance. Her hair, which was normally around shoulder length, grew to her lower back. Her height didn’t change, but her muscle definition certainly did.

She was skinnier, not by much, but noticeable. However, the power coming off of her was so intense that if it wasn’t for Zion’s mana field, he would have fainted under its pressure.

"Mom? Is that you?" He knew it was his mother, but he still couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

"Why do you keep asking that? Of course, I’m your mother! What? Do I look different or some.....thing?" ƒrēenovelkiss.com

Zion had given her a mirror, and she saw how different she looked. She still looked like herself, and at first glance, you would know it’s her, but when you actually took time to look at her features, there was a noticeable difference.

"Oh my, I look like how I did 25 years ago."

’25 years ago? Girl, you’re in your 50s and you look no older than thirty! What? Do you expect to look like a fucking baby?’ Of course, Zion didn’t say any of those things. He knew better than to comment on a woman’s beauty if it wasn’t positive.

"How do you feel? Any pain? Unconfortability? Weird sensations?" Since his mother went ahead and fast-traveled to the second-to-last Body Stage, he wanted to know if there was anything he needed to worry about so he could make improvements and adjustments to the process.

"No, I feel fine. Way better than fine, in fact. I can’t believe how powerful I feel right now. I’m not even at the Mystic stage, and I feel like I can take on one right now. Hell, I bet I can kill that Gonrod demon with no effort!"

"Mom, even Drakoth had trouble fighting against him." Zion reminded her. Power highs are no joke. You think you’re on top of the world, then you get humbled fast.

"True, but does Drakoth know your mana method?" She smirked

"Well, no. But..."

"And during that fight, I was only at the Inept Transcendant stage, had no holy power and dantians, no body stages, and didn’t fully master everything your mana method had to offer at the time. Now, I have all of that and have mastered all of that. I’m a completely different person now than I was before!"

’She’s right.’ Luminera chimmed in. ’The current her is significantly more powerful than her past self. It’s like night and day.’

"Wanna test your power?" He asked, obviously knowing the answer.

"No, not yet."

That was not the answer he was expecting. But then he caught on.

"Don’t you dare!" He warned her.

She looked at her son, smiling slightly. "What? I can’t take risks, but you can?"

"I have knowledge!" He argued

"You tried to cut off your head when you created your healing body."

"That was for science!"

"Well, this is for magic!"

"Don’t fuck with me!"

"I already have!"

"Fine!" He relented. "Fine. Just not inside the house. We don’t know what will happen if you break through to the Mystic Stage, so let’s do it somewhere out in the open."

"Yay, you’re the best son!" She skipped off into the distance, excited to break through the shackles that kept lower races like that from achieving the peak of power.

"Put on some clothes!"

---

Far away from their home, in the corrupted forest that Zion had now purified after returning home, he and his mother were both preparing for her breakthrough.

Since the corrupted forest was riddled with dense demonic energy, once it was purified, it became dense mana and was rich in power. The land prospered, revived, and recreated the wildlife there.

To prevent people from entering this newly created reservoir of abundant, rich, dense mana, Zion placed a barrier over it and had his people guard it from intruders. Of course, all of his people were welcomed here as he always shared his resources with his followers.

"Okay, Mom, I just want you to understand these simple things. Every single person in history, besides the dragons who attempted to break through to the Mystic stage, has died. The only ones who didn’t were the Heroes from 10,000 years ago who held claim to the ancient relics."

"But everything should be okay now, right? I mean, I did your body stage thingy." She was confident in her current strength and was confident in her son.

"I don’t know. I truly don’t know. I know I said this is the key, but even if it is, keys can still break. Since Dragon bodies are so strong, durable, and have a battery for mana, breathing through to the Mystic stage for them is as easy as...Well, I don’t know. Your body is stronger than normal, like way stronger than normal. If you fought against a Peak Transcendant right now, you would absolutely wash them."

"Wash? Why would I clean their clothes?"

"What? No, I mean... never mind, let’s just get started."
