Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100-Chapter 1518: Fulfill her bet!
"Miss Isabella, what are you doing here?" Max asked with a relaxed smile as he walked up to the door of his residence.
He stopped a short distance away from her and looked at the young woman who stood waiting there.
Isabella Lumin looked visibly uncomfortable. Her usually composed expression had become slightly tense, and she bit her lower lip for a moment before answering him.
"Do not act like you know nothing," she said in a low voice. "I am here to fulfill my end of the bet since I lost to you."
Max’s smile widened slightly when he heard that.
"You mean you want to be my maid for the next ten years?" he asked with an obvious hint of amusement in his voice. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
The moment those words left his mouth, Isabella’s face immediately turned bright red. The embarrassment was so obvious that even the faint glow of the palace lanterns could not hide it. For a brief moment she looked as if she wanted to say something sharp in response, yet she forced herself to remain calm.
Her expression soon shifted again as the redness faded and a faint trace of anger appeared.
"Do not get your hopes up," she said through clenched teeth. "Once I fully awaken my Imperial Bloodline, I will challenge you again. When I defeat you, this ridiculous bet will immediately become void."
Max listened to her words and nodded slowly as if he was seriously considering the possibility.
"I see," he replied calmly. "That will probably take quite a long time."
He then looked at the closed door behind her before speaking again.
"For now you should act like a proper maid and open the door for me."
Isabella’s hands clenched slightly when she heard him say that.
For a moment it looked as if she might actually strike him. The thought of obeying such a command clearly irritated her deeply. In the world they lived in, status and strength determined everything. A maid was considered someone of the lowest position within a household.
For someone like Isabella, who had grown up with the pride of a noble bloodline and the title of Saintess in training, accepting such a role was almost unbearable.
However, she had come here fully aware of what the bet meant.
She took a deep breath.
Then another.
Slowly she forced herself to calm down.
Without saying another word, Isabella stepped forward and pushed the door open.
Max watched the scene with clear amusement in his eyes. Seeing the usually proud Isabella reluctantly acting as his maid was far more entertaining than he had expected.
With a satisfied smile, he walked past her and entered his residence.
"You may come in as well," he said casually.
Isabella hesitated for a moment before following him inside. Once she stepped through the doorway, she quietly closed the door behind them.
"What in the hell happened here?"
"Am I seeing things or did the Saintess in training just enter the Saint’s house?"
"What is going on? Do they have some sort of relationship?"
"Do not tell me the Saint has already made the Saintess fall for him!"
"No! I refuse to believe it! There must be something else going on! How could our Saintess be charmed by the Saint? I will not believe it!"
Voices of disbelief rose one after another outside the residence as the disciples gathered there stared at the closed door in stunned silence. Only moments earlier they had clearly seen Isabella Lumin follow Max into the house before shutting the door behind them.
For several seconds nobody spoke.
Then the quiet courtyard erupted into a storm of whispers.
In truth there had already been many disciples wandering around this area for the past day. Ever since Max had returned from the grand trial and was declared the first Saint in the history of the Black Dragon Clan, curiosity about him had reached its peak among the younger generation.
Max had already been a well known figure after taking the Sword of the Sovereign and defeating powerful opponents during the grand trial. However, his reputation had completely exploded after he reached the highest floors of the Combat Legion Tower and received the unprecedented title of Saint.
For many disciples he had suddenly become a figure almost mythical within the clan.
Because of that reason, groups of curious disciples had begun quietly passing by his residence throughout the day. Some hoped to catch a glimpse of him while others simply wanted to confirm with their own eyes what kind of person the new Saint really was.
However, none of them had expected to witness something like this.
The Saintess in training of the Black Dragon Clan had just walked into the Saint’s residence.
The shock was so great that several disciples were still rubbing their eyes as if they suspected they had imagined the entire scene.
"That was definitely Isabella Lumin," one disciple said in a hushed voice. "I saw her clearly."
Another disciple nodded quickly.
"I saw her too. She followed him inside without hesitation."
A third disciple frowned deeply as he looked toward the closed door.
"What kind of relationship do they even have?"
The question hung heavily in the air.
Isabella Lumin was not just any disciple. She was the Saintess in training of the Black Dragon Clan and a genius whose reputation had spread throughout the clan long before Max arrived.
Her status and talent placed her at the very top among the younger generation.
Yet now she had entered the house of the newly appointed Saint.
Several disciples immediately began forming their own conclusions.
"Maybe the Saintess really has feelings for him," someone whispered cautiously.
The moment those words were spoken, several others reacted immediately.
"Impossible," another disciple said firmly. "Our Saintess would never be so easily charmed."
"Yes. There must be some other reason."
Even though they tried to deny it, the expressions on their faces showed that the possibility had already planted itself in their minds.
The disciples continued whispering among themselves as they stared toward Max’s residence.
Inside the quiet courtyard the door of the Saint’s house remained closed, leaving everyone outside with nothing but their own imagination to fill the silence.
