Blade of the Goddess-Chapter 171
Chapter 171: Chapter 171
"Reina? Zion? What’s going on?!" Zaleena rushed over to her children but only ended up making things even worse. The closer she got, the more intense the pressure of her mana was.
"Mom! MOM! Stop! Your mana! Control it! Now!" Reina shouted in a hurry.
Zaleena quickly understood what she meant and controlled her mana. She meditated, pulling all of the mana that was leaving her body back inside her. Soon, everything went back to normal, and the pressure that engulfed Zion and Reina was gone.
"Fuckkkk!" Zion healed his arms and wiggled them around to get the feeling back in them. "What the hell, man?! You almost killed us!"
"Sorry, sorry. I didn’t know I would be this strong. I was controlling my power like I normally did, but I guess it wasn’t enough." She grabbed her kids and hugged them tightly. She truthfully didn’t mean to hurt them, and knowing that she did made her heart ache slightly.
"It’s okay. Anyway, now do you want to test out our power?" Zion asked, excited to see just how powerful she had become.
Zaleena smirked as she desperately wanted to test how powerful she had gotten. "Abso-fucking-lutely. Did I say that correctly?"
"Hell yeah! Let’s go see what you can do now!"
Zion and Zaleena flew into the sky to leave, but Reina didn’t follow.
"You coming?" Zion asked his sister.
"Nah, I’m going back to my lab. Have fun." She waved them off.
"Hmph. Get a load of this girl." Zion pointed at Reina with his thumb
Zaleena scoffed. "I know, right. ’I’m going back to my lab, as if that’s more important than seeing how cool I am."
"We don’t need her anyway. She’ll only stink up the place with her gloomy presence."
"Mhmm. Shoo, go back to your lab, Reina." Zaleena and Zion fist bumped and flew away while giggling with one another.
"What a scary duo. They really are Mother and Son."
---
"Are you sure this is a good place to test out my power? I mean, don’t you think we should go somewhere else?"
Zion had to take a good look at his mother, then at their surroundings. Once he confirmed that he wasn’t going crazy, he looked at his mother once again.
"Mom, we’re in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a mountain range that spans thousands of miles. I’m sure this is a good place to test your power. I mean, where else would you want to go? To the dragon lands or something?"
Zaleena nodded. "Honestly, that might be better than here."
"You’re exaggerating."
"Son, you will know what I mean once you reach this stage, but I’m surging with power right now. I feel so strong that I’m completely confident that I could kill Gonrod if we fought again."
"That would place you around Drakoth’s level, maybe even stronger than him. Do you think you can take on a dragon?" freeωebnovēl.c૦m
She took a minute to collect her thoughts, then responded when she had a definite answer. "Yeah, I feel like I can. I’m way stronger than my actual Cultivation Stage after all. Not to mention, I haven’t even reached the peak of the mystic stage and haven’t gotten a spirit yet."
"Oh yeah, speaking of spirits, why haven’t you gotten one yet? We were in Alfheim for six months."
"Wanted to wait until I reached the peak of my power before I did so."
Zion nodded. "That’s fair." He knew that the stronger you were, the stronger your spirit would be. Aryah was as powerful as she was because of many factors. First, she has every element; second, she has holy power; third, she’s a spirit queen, and fourth, Zion’s own personal strength.
She was actually stronger than Zion at the moment, and it wasn’t even close. But if he used the ancient relics, then he would even the playing field.
"Okay, for the first test, I want you to blow up that mountain."
Zaleena nodded, pointed her hand toward the mountain, clenched her fist, and it exploded instantly.
"What? What the fuck?!" Zion didn’t even know what happened. He couldn’t feel anything. There was no mana trigger, no visual queue, no nothing. Just destruction.
"How did you do that? What the fuck did you even do?" He needed answers, and he wanted them now.
"What do you mean? I just wrapped my mana around the mountain and crushed it." She said that as if it were the most casual thing in the world to say.
"Oh yeah, let me just wrap my mana around a large fucking mountain and crush it as if it were a fucking big. Totally normal."
Zaleena couldn’t help but laugh at her son’s shocked expression and comments. "Did you not feel my mana move?"
"I didn’t feel shit. Nothing. Nada. Ziltch. The mountain just exploded."
"Want me to try it again?" She asked
"Nah, I have another test for you. I want you to use as little power as possible and put it on your finger, then shoot it at the mountains."
"How little are we talking?"
He thought for a bit. "A non-lethal strike, but at its weakest."
"So like a little love tap that would sting a person?" She asked
"Yeah, just like that."
She shrugged, getting her power ready. "Okay."
And so, that’s exactly what she did.
Zion, using charts of data, expected her power to carve into the mountainside side judging by how powerful she currently was.
What he did not expect was for the entire mountain range to blow up as if a 100 megaton nuclear bomb had gone off.
"That was the weakest I could make it. Was that good?"
Zion didn’t answer. How could he? What he just witnessed blew everything he expected out of proportion. It didn’t make any sense. He would have never expected the Mystic stage to increase a person’s power so much that the weakest non-lethal attack could completely obliterate an entire City.
"Mom, I’m going home."
