[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 328: Long time no see
Eden couldn’t come up with a reason as to why Leo would want to see him. No matter how much he thought about it, nothing came to his mind.
So after class, he went to meet him nevertheless. Leo was walking through a pathway in between flowers and plants. Eden followed behind enthusiastically, like an apprentice.
"So why did you want to see me?" he inquired.
Leo walked for a while without replying. He didn’t even look back at Eden, who was walking behind him trying to keep up with his long legs.
"Is it because of the assignment?" Eden asked. "Well, I was going to start talking before you interrupted and all."
Leo still said nothing.
He kept moving until he arrived at the garden. A quiet place where it was just the two of them. No one was around.
And then Leo turned to face Eden, both hands behind him.
Eden stared at him. There was silence.
"Do you know archery?" Leo suddenly asked.
"Huh?"
Leo turned and continued. "How can you even join a contest when you don’t even know the basics of what you’re doing?"
Eden thought for a while and then figured out what he was talking about. "Ah, you also know about the contest, Teacher? How did you know about it, though?"
"Teacher?" Leo turned and stared at him.
Eden smiled. "Yeah, teacher. I mean, it’s an insignificant competition amongst students. I didn’t think you’d be interested in it, though," he said.
"News goes around fast. So of course I know about it," Leo said. "And don’t call me teacher. We can drop the act already."
Eden stared at him quietly for a while as he forced a smile. "Drop the act? What are you talking about?"
Leo had both hands behind him as he walked up to him. He was standing close to Eden, staring into his eyes as he said, "Long time no see, Eden. Or should I say, the Wizard of EL."
Eden stiffened. Shock ran through his veins, but he struggled to keep his expression calm. He stared right into Leo’s expression while trying not to show how stunned he was. He forced a smile.
"What are you talking about? Teacher, are you seeing things or what?" Eden asked with a smile. He had used the trick on his face so no one would recognize him. But he couldn’t believe Leo actually did.
Leo smiled. "You can’t fool me with your tricks. Even though your face doesn’t add up, I remember other things," Leo said as he stared at Eden’s hands. "The day you touched me... I could feel it. I could recall that touch." He stared at Eden. "Strangely, I didn’t forget it. Your touch that night."
Eden stared at him as he continued.
"So don’t bother trying to cover up. I already know. I’m not dumb." He smiled. "Staying with you for a day back then was enough for me to know how you act and how you’d react to stuff."
Eden guessed Leo had been basically studying him all through the class session. He couldn’t believe he fell for that.
Eden casually smiled as he sighed. "Oh. Is that so? I suppose I couldn’t hide it from you..." Eden’s smile still lingered around his lips as he slowly stepped backward.
Eden’s eyes went purple; he was brewing up his spell to strike. He couldn’t let himself be found. At least not now. He was still on a mission undercover. He still needed to achieve his mission without being discovered—especially not by someone like Leo, whom he couldn’t trust for now.
"Well... too bad you already know. It can’t be helped." He looked up at Leo, his eyes purple. He was ready to use his powers on Leo.
And Leo had noticed.
"You don’t have to bother using your powers to take me down," Leo said. "Your secret is safe with me. I won’t let anyone find out." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Eden stared at him with a smile. A smile that was once bubbly now seemed devious in every way possible. "Is that so? And how do I trust you?"
"Because I don’t have a reason to harm you anymore. If that helps." He stared at him. "Queen Elizabeth told me about your investigations for me. Thank you—that’s what I’ve always wanted to say when I meet you again."
His voice was calm as he spoke. There was a hint of guilt that Eden could read through. And that had his eyes going back to normal as he stared at Leo.
Leo continued, "I guess you kept your own side of the deal after all."
Eden stared at him. The thought of him indirectly helping Leo at the banquet, where he was almost killed, filled his mind. And so he stared at Leo without doing anything.
"Now we’re free. We have nothing to hold against each other, no reason to end each other. So don’t worry about me exposing your secret; I won’t. That’s why I called you here."
Eden was quiet for a while, studying his expression as though looking for the truth in it.
And suddenly Eden smiled. "Is that so? So you recognized me easily because you couldn’t stop thinking about my touch from the last moment we shared together in bed?"
"..."
Leo blinked. "What are you talking about?"
Eden’s bubbly smile was back as he walked up to Leo, both hands behind him. "That’s the only right answer at the moment. And the reason you were able to recognize me easily by touch. Because you like me—that makes more sense."
"You’re just overthinking at this point."
"It doesn’t matter if you accept it or not. That’s the fact." Eden turned as he said, "And although I won’t say I completely trust you, I’ll believe your words." He smiled as he stared at Leo. "But make sure you don’t play any tricks with me, because I won’t really take it lightly. Okay?"
Eden smiled as he stared deep into his eyes. Although he smiled brightly as he spoke, it was almost impossible not to view it as a threat.
