[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 291: The Wizar’z Tale II
Days turned into weeks and weeks soon became months, and nothing was becoming positive for Mr. Albert. His son was still dying from the strange illness. His face grew paler and his health kept deteriorating.
Mr. Albert was losing his son and there was nothing he could do.
He had gone to the most sacred temple in the neighbouring kingdoms, knees bare on the rocky floor for hours, his exhausted gaze before the statue of their god. The sun was hot and he was there for hours, praying.
"Heal my son, and do as you wish with me. I’ll serve you my entire life, I’ll do as you wish. I’ll become your servant, your slave, your vessel. But please... save my son."
He had cut his wrist and spilled his blood on the floor of the temple. He wanted to make a sacred oath with the god. He had gone to extremes for this.
But months after his prayer, nothing was happening. His son was getting worse and it was obvious that he would die soon if nothing was done.
And that was when Mr. Albert snapped. He had given up on the religious morals and ethics he had built all his life and held firmly for ages. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
He had woken up and thrown them out the window in the blink of an eye, desperate. And the desperate father, whose little boy was having a hard time breathing, put on a cloak, sneaked out of his house as early as 4 in the morning and journeyed deep into the woods he didn’t even know about.
The knowledge and presence of witchcraft wasn’t new in the land. It was tagged a diabolic act that still existed and was practiced by some. An act Mr. Albert was against all his life as a religious man.
But that morning, he had journeyed into the strange woods to meet the mysterious old man most known as a wizard of diabolism in their town.
The Divine Eyes, as he was best known—the old man lived alone in these woods. No one knew where he stayed exactly, but rumour had it that his soul was the only thing that existed and it hovered around a lake.
And Mr. Albert had finally met the Divine Eyes after his trip. The old man, clothed in his black cloak, sat on a rock close to the river.
The old man looked bored and listless as he stared at the water in the lake flow.
Mr. Albert knelt before him as soon as he arrived, tears in his eyes. He didn’t need to speak before the man could talk.
"You should go home and await your son’s death," The Divine Eyes spoke. "There’s nothing that can be done."
Mr. Albert stared at him, eyes wide in shock. Tears ran down his face as he burst out crying.
The Divine Eyes continued, "I already know why you’re here. So that’s why I don’t wish to waste your time. That is your son’s fate. And he’s destined to die with that mysterious illness inscribed on him by fate. Nothing can be done; you cannot go against fate." He explained with a lazy sigh.
Mr. Albert cried. He pointed to his heart, his bitter heart. Expressing his terrible state over the past years and expressing that he could never let go of his son.
"He is dear to me. He is my everything! I’ll die if I lose him! I’ll lose everything!" Mr. Albert expressed that he cannot let his son die and would do anything to save him.
He expressed how medicine and his religion had abandoned him and now all he had was this. And then he begged the old man not to abandon him.
The old man again tried explaining how the hands of fate were in the case at hand, but Mr. Albert brushed the talk aside.
"Fate or no fate, I don’t care! Those words make no sense to me anymore! I want to save my son and that’s all I can think of now. And I’ll do anything to save him, even if it means going against fate into the depths of the underworld. So help me..."
He looked ruined. The old man stared at the man who had been destroyed by life. One who was still alive but had walked through hell and back.
He pitied the man while he listened to his words of defying fate and the gods to save his son. And after a while, the Divine Eyes sighed.
"Surely you’re not the first person who wished to defy fate, and you’ll never be the last." He shook his head as he said, "But are you up for whatever comes with it, young one?"
"I am more than ready. Anything it takes, even if it means going down to hell, I’ll do anything. Just please save my son!" He cried.
The old man sighed and then gave his instructions.
He explained how it was against the laws of fate but how it wasn’t impossible to go against. But then he reminded him...
"...do know that walking the path against fate comes with some consequences..."
"I don’t care..." the desperate Mr. Albert was impatient. All he could think about was his dying son in bed. "It always comes with consequences and I’ll bear it. All I just want is to save my son. Anything else can happen."
The old man stared at him and sighed. He stared at the water flow for a while and then said, "I’ll tell you where to go and begin your journey. But I won’t help you because I will not have my hands on the blood that is about to be spilled."
"I do not wish to get involved in what is about to be played out through this means. I don’t wish to take part in the blood involved," the man said.
"Then lead me to where I can find the solution to all my problems," Mr. Albert requested.
