Chapter 292: 292: The Wizard’s Tale III

Mr. Albert was sent to a mysterious land by the Divine Eyes. And he instructed him on what to obtain: a book and some items.

Mr. Albert obtained them immediately and returned. And then, following the instructions of the old man, Mr. Albert studied the book for himself. He took his time studying the arts of witchcraft depicted in the book, the ones relating to his son’s situation.

The book instructed he practice all he did by taking his son (the patient) up the mountain and living there. And the mountain was known as the Soul Mountain.

Mr. Albert took his son up there and lived. They camped at the cave they SAW there and made it their home.

But Mr. Albert didn’t go there alone with his son. He took with him a male apprentice the Divine Eyes had handed to him.

"The pitiful young lad has been with me for years. Take him to the mountain and he will be of help to you in practicing the arts of witchcraft. He has some experience while with me," the man said.

"Why are you giving him to me?" Mr. Albert inquired.

"He too is desperate. He wishes to defy fate too, and I fear I can’t keep him. So he should be of more help to you."

And so Mr. Albert took the 17-year-old teenage boy and set off to the mountain where they stayed. The lad, who was called Kyle, helped Mr. Albert with all he needed.

He helped him gather stuff for their magic practice and also things to help heal his son. And so they would always go to the secret room in the cave where his son was kept and implement what they created on the boy, who was 16 years old at the moment.

One day, Mr. Albert was out in the woods to pick some herbs. There he found a kid crying. One who said his parents abandoned him. The young boy, who was 14 years old, had nowhere to go.

Out of pity, he took the kid back with him to the mountains and the kid stayed there with them all. The young boy wasn’t involved in whatever they did; he only played around there and lived.

"Young lad, what’s your name?" Mr. Albert asked as they journeyed up to the mountain.

"Lyeian," the boy said.

"Lyeian. That’s a beautiful name. Don’t worry, from now onwards, you’ll stay with me and have all the happiness you wanted. I can be your father, your guardian and all you wish for in a parent. I will protect you from the harsh world and won’t let anything harm you."

"You’ll have a brother too. His name is Kyle. The two of you can live happily and help each other. And maybe if everything goes well, you’ll have a third brother. Okay?"

"Thanks, Father," Lyeian smiled happily as Mr. Albert patted his messy brown hair.

He joined them as part of a family without bothering to know what was even happening around. He didn’t even go into the secret room, nor did he know of the little boy in there.

The pure, innocent young boy was happy to have some companions. And he was most happy to be with his elder brother, Kyle.

The two grew so close. Always hanging around each other. Kyle always took care of Lyeian like his own blood and never allowed anything to happen to him.

He was always happy with Lyeian and Lyeian was happy to have him too. The two grew extremely close as time went on.

"Brother, what’s in the room that I can’t go in? I also want to see," Lyeian once asked Kyle.

"It’s nothing much. Don’t worry about it, come, I’ll take you out for some fun," Kyle said.

Time went on and Mr. Albert’s mood was improving, having seen that his son was getting better.

His son wasn’t collapsing as often as he did; he wasn’t looking so pale and weak as before. He was getting better and better and his father was extremely happy about this.

He was using black magic in full at this moment and even though it was messing with his morals and he was deviating from the ways of the righteous religious teachings he grew with, he didn’t care.

As long as his son was getting better.

But things started to go strangely for his dear son who was getting better.

From time to time, Mr. Albert’s son had an episode. A moment when he’d suddenly go crazy.

The kid would start talking to himself and begin destroying things around him and even harming himself without care.

"Ah! Let me go! Get out of my head! Why won’t it stop?! Let me go! Arhh!" The kid would cry while running his hand violently through his head and face like a madman.

He would run around the room, falling around and hurting himself. And it was only after the episode that he felt pain and got himself.

"What happened to me? Why am I hurt again?" He would ask.

Soon, he not only did that in his episode, but he also began emitting some demonic powers. His eyes would go blue and blue dust would flow into the room and harm anyone it touched.

He was getting dangerous with what he was becoming and his father got worried.

It happened for some time and Mr. Albert tried going through the books to stop it and help his son, who was already confused and in pain. But there was nothing he could do.

And so Mr. Albert ended up going back to the Divine Eyes for help.

The Divine Eyes already knew why he was there. And as soon as he arrived, he spoke.

"The consequences of what you wanted seem to be coming sooner than I thought; fate really is funny," the old man sighed, sitting by his usual spot.

Panicking, Mr. Albert said, "Is there anything that can be done? Save my son... Help me stop him."
