Chapter 97: An Unfounded Accusation 2

In the principal’s office, several men gathered because a serious problem had occurred involving Arcane Romano.

Freya, a girl who attended the high school, had once again caused trouble by accusing Arcane of attempting to r*pe her. It was clear that this was merely an accusation, without any evidence.

Her father, Mr. Morgan, was furious when he heard the news and saw his daughter’s clothes in disarray.

"Mr. Stamford! I want this jerk expelled from school for trying to r*pe my daughter! You better do it, or this school will lose its reputation because this isn’t the first time this has happened to Freya!" he said, pointing at Arcane.

"You’re saying that without any evidence. Can you prove that I really tried to do it?" Arcane tried to defend himself in front of him, because obviously he couldn’t have done such a thing.

Although it was possible that he could have liked a woman too. But he still had his pride and common sense not to approach or even touch a minor.

"Besides, it’s obvious that I’m married to a man. And now my sexuality leans more towards him. Now you’re saying that I tried to r*pe your daughter? Does she have any evidence for that? Is there anyone else who witnessed what I did to her?" Arcane asked again.

The question took Mr. Morgan by surprise, and he couldn’t answer it. Just like last year’s testimony, where Freya had also been almost r*ped by one of the teachers at the school. But no one had ever seen or witnessed what he said. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Because it was clear that he was just lying.

The two police officers who were there at the time felt that Arcane’s question was valid. An accusation could not be made without other eyewitnesses, and even the evidence only pointed to Freya’s disheveled clothes.

"That’s right. There is no other evidence or witnesses to prove that this actually happened." One of the police officers tried to dig deeper.

However, as a father, Mr. Morgan was naturally unwilling to accept this. He turned to Arcane and cursed the man with terrible words.

"Damn you! I hope you get kicked out of this place soon and no one will accept you as a teacher anymore. You’ll starve to death on the side of the road and rot away!" he shouted.

Julian, who heard this, was furious because he felt that what the middle aged man had said was completely out of line.

Before he could react, there was a loud bang as someone slammed their fist on the table, causing everyone to jump in surprise. They turned to see where the sound had come from and saw that it was the principal’s desk.

"How dare you say such a thing to him! If you say that again, I will make sure your daughter is expelled from this school with a red mark on her record!" Donald suddenly snapped at the man who had always been a major donor to the school.

At first, he just wanted to remain neutral because he was the principal of the school, but he was so upset to see his son being accused like that.

He knew Arcane very well, even though they hadn’t spent much time together. But there were moments when he knew how much his son loved Julian, and it was impossible for him to do something so cruel to someone else.

However, Mr. Morgan’s words were unbearable to his ears. Especially when he cursed his son like that.

"Mr. Stamford! Are you trying to protect this r*pist?! Have you forgotten that he is dangerous to—"

"Enough! I know what kind of teachers work at my school right now. And I know what Mr. Romano is like so far, so don’t just jump to conclusions that he’s the culprit!" Donald cut off the man before he could finish speaking.

It wasn’t just because Arcane was his son, but this had happened before and at that time he could only remain silent because he couldn’t afford to lose a major donor to his school.

However, now he realized that keeping that donor meant he had to blame people who weren’t even guilty. And he didn’t want to do that again.

Feeling that this problem was endless, the police finally tried to call Freya and interview her about what really happened.

In a different room, Freya was interviewed about what happened and how it unfolded.

"At that time, I received a message in my locker, asking me to come to the school roof. Then there, I saw Mr. Romano alone, and it turned out that he was the one who sent the letter," she said, pretending to cry and be afraid.

"So Mr. Romano sent the letter to your locker? What happened afterward? Can you tell me?" asked the female police officer interrogating her.

She recounted how Arcane pushed her against the wall, then forcibly undid the buttons on her uniform, more specifically on her white shirt. That’s why two buttons on the top of her shirt were missing, and the zipper on her skirt had come undone.

She wasn’t even wearing his school blazer anymore. In fact, it was Freya herself who had deliberately made it look like Arcane had forcibly undressed him.

"He’s really terrible. He’s a monster, I’m really scared!" said Freya, crying and hugging her father, who was beside her at the time.

Donald, Julian, Arcane, and the two police officers who had been in the teachers’ room earlier moved to the school infirmary.

"Did you hear that? You touched her, and now you still won’t admit that you did it? You’re a wild animal!" snapped Mr. Morgan, then gently rubbed Freya’s head.

There was no evidence that Arcane had done it, but there was also no evidence that he hadn’t. This made it quite confusing for the police to determine who was at fault in this case.

They found no signs of force on Freya’s skin or body, only that her clothes were damaged.

"Isn’t there a CCTV on the school roof?"

Donald shook his head. "No, we don’t have CCTV on the school roof. Students aren’t allowed to go there. We usually lock the school roof."

Donald’s answer immediately silenced everyone in the room.

If the school roof should always be locked, doesn’t that mean one of them unlocked it?

One of the three police officers then turned to Freya and Arcane.

"Where is the key?"
