Chapter 98: A Worst Confession

One of the three police officers then turned to Freya and Arcane, asking about the key to the school roof. If the door to the school roof was supposed to be locked, shouldn’t one of them have had the key?

And if Arcane was indeed the perpetrator of the r*pe, he should have had the key.

The police then searched Arcane’s body, trying to find the key to the school roof in his pockets.

"What is this key?" the police officer asked Arcane when he found a key in his pocket.

"That must be the key!" said Mr. Morgan, pointing to the key.

However, Julian immediately denied that the key was their house key. He took out the same key from his pocket, and when the police compared them, the two keys were indeed identical.

This proved that the key they found was indeed their house key.

The female police officer looked a little suspicious of Freya’s testimony. Because what she described sounded so detailed, for a girl who had almost been r*ped by her own teacher.

"She can even explain it very well, because usually victims like this don’t really remember what happened. I’ve been a police officer for almost 8 years, and I can tell which ones are really traumatized and which ones are just being dramatic," she said.

For a moment, the policewoman’s words startled Freya so much that her face turned pale. She didn’t expect her lie to be exposed so soon, especially by the police.

"I’ve already told you everything. But you’re accusing me of being a liar?"

Before she could say anything else, the door to the school infirmary suddenly opened, revealing a large number of female students and teachers who had suddenly appeared.

"We heard that Mr. Romano is accused of harassing Freya! That can’t be true. Mr. Romano isn’t that kind of person!" said one of them.

The other students agreed and didn’t believe that Arcane had done such a terrible thing. They knew very well what their math teacher was like, even how he always kept his distance from the students, even though he was still nice to them.

The other teachers also defended him because they felt that Arcane was not that kind of person.

"Let him go! We are very sure that he is completely innocent. Freya always causes trouble at this school, which is why we are very sure that she is just making up stories!"

Many people came to support their teacher, and this put pressure on Freya because she knew she couldn’t fight them all.

"Dad, let’s just go home. I don’t want to stay here and watch this!" said Freya, pretending to cry as she hugged her father.

She knew very well that her father would definitely take her side and believe what she said. However, when Freya pretended to cry like that, her father didn’t react at all and just stared at his daughter.

"Why are you just standing there? Say something! Tell them that I can’t be lying. I’m telling the truth!"

However, Mr. Morgan still didn’t seem to defend his daughter like before. Slowly, he seemed to realize that there was something strange about her words. Moreover, he was a lawyer who usually handled cases like this, and after he was able to think more clearly, he realized that there were many strange things.

"Officer, you can check my daughter’s clothes. I want to know if there is a key in her pocket," he said suddenly, pushing Freya towards the female police officer to be checked.

Freya’s eyes widened in surprise, not expecting her father to suddenly change his attitude like that. He even handed her over to the police for inspection, and the result was that a key labeled with the school’s roof was indeed found in the pocket of her skirt.

This confirmed that it was Freya who had taken the key and framed Arcane.

"That’s the key to the school roof! She shouldn’t have that key because she’s just a student." Donald looked at the key in the policeman’s hand.

Freya continued to argue, saying that Arcane could have deliberately placed the key there when he touched it. However, Julian immediately said that the police had a way to prove who was right and who was wrong.

"It’s possible that Arcane put it in your pocket. But can’t the police check the fingerprints on the key? What if it turns out that the only fingerprints found are yours?" asked Julian.

Her face turned pale when she thought about it. And because he knew he couldn’t escape this problem, she fell to the floor, cried, and admitted that he had been lying.

She did this because Arcane rejected her, even though she had offered many things and threatened him. But the red haired man didn’t budge at all and seemed indifferent to her threats.

Everyone at school heard her confession, including her father, who had been defending her all along.

This disappointed her father, as it turned out that his daughter was a liar who could cause someone to lose their life.

"So you’ve been lying to me all this time? I tried to defend you, but it turns out that my defense was just a lie! You really disappoint me."

After hearing her confession, Freya was finally expelled from school with a red mark on her record. This meant she had to repeat 10th grade even though she was already in 11th grade. In addition, the red mark would make it difficult for her to be accepted at any school, because she already had a label as a problem child.

One problem was solved, and Arcane and Julian thought that now no one would bother them anymore, including Freya. They could live more peacefully, plus Arcane had many supporters at the school who knew what he was like.

"If this is the case, I find it difficult to stop teaching at that school," he said as he sat with Julian a few days later.

"It’s okay if you want to keep working there. They love you like their own family, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with continuing to teach there," replied Julian.

In the middle of their conversation, Julian’s cell phone suddenly rang. When he saw who was calling, he was surprised because it was Sandra’s number. The owner of the adoption center where they were going to adopt Luna.

He exchanged glances with his husband, looking at him with hope, then answered the call.

"Hello, is this Mr. Thorne?" Sandra asked from the other end of the line.

"Yes, it’s me. So what do you say? When can we both take Luna home with us?" He asked enthusiastically, eager to hear her answer.

For a moment, there was no response from Sandra, until finally the woman gave an answer based on the information she had received.

"We’re sorry, we can’t give you permission to adopt Luna."
