Chapter 46: Crafting an impossible Weapon

Nioh was once again back in his lab, and this time it was to finish a project he had been working on for years. "What do you think?" he asked Ekoh. "If I tell you I don’t want to fuse with that pebble will you stop?" Ekoh questioned back

"Absolutely not, this is about evolution. We need to do it for science."

In front of Nioh was a pair of headphones the initial frame was designed to be an over ears model, and the earcups were oval in shape, and sleek in design. The original purpose was to cure his deafness, but as time passed he gave up on the endeavor and instead learned to embrace his disability.

Right now he understood the unreliability of classical hearing aids, especially during combat, so this time he was determined to build his own multitask voice translator. And for the first time, he wanted to build an inner biocore-connected weapon.

He took out from his handbag the leftover materials he picked from Magnus’s railgun.

"Let’s at least upgrade the base materials," he said to Ekoh.

"I will figure out the splitting process," Ekoh replied.

Nioh replaced the shell with a slick shimmering silver alloy, made of element-resistant materials. It resulted in a flexible, resistant, and weightless shell.

The shell blended seamlessly with his bushy hair and did not hinder his movements.

The buttons were layered to the side allowing ease of control.

Once he was satisfied with the layout, Nioh moved to circuitry and connections.

He wanted to build a weapon that had the aspects of the sin of envy while fusing Ekoh with the sin of envy. It was like wiring Ekoh to the headphones.

With his extensive experience with biocore division, he began to feel more comfortable with experimenting. The inner workings of the Headphones were composed of high-speed transmission crystal wires, capable of transmitting high volumes of data in a short time.

The processing was going to come from the Sin of Envy and he was waiting patiently for Ekoh to give him the okay signal.

The silence was worrying him, but he knew to trust his partner.

"I have good and bad news" Ekoh spoke abruptly. "Say it together" Nioh instructed.

"The split is possible, but it can only happen simultaneously with the fusion."

Both Nioh and Ekoh, stood quiet. Nioh, breathed a few times before saying "Let’s do it what’s the worst that can happen?"

"The worst that can happen? Death by explosion, canonization, Madness, broken biocore did I mention dead by explosion?"

"Ekoh when someone says what’s the worst that can happen they don’t actually want to know about the worst"

"Why are you so obsessed with the pebble anyway" Ekoh asked.

"It is hard to put it in words but my intuition tells me there is a lot more to it than just an ancient biocore"

" Okay, let go for it" Ekoh resigned.

"Should I write a will beforehand?" Nioh joked.

"Oh shut up! I have no intention to die. Don’t jinx it"

Nioh sat equidistant from both the weapon and the Sin of Envy. Under Ekoh’s lead, the runes on his forehead began to glow gold. The sin of Envy activated attracted to the aura and like a parasite, it began to glow neon green.

The two light rays interconnected and Nioh’s body began to burn up. New runes, began to carve on the rest of his body. These runes were shimmering neon green, even contaminating the already existing gold ones like invasive vines. They spread across his skin, intertwining with the gold, each color vying for dominance.

The air crackled with conflicting energies, gold clashing with neon green. Nioh’s body, caught in the crossfire, became the canvas for the struggle.

The sin of envy was visibly reducing in size, while Ekoh seemed to be overtaken by the newcomer.

"Now!" Ekoh’s voice reached Nioh who rapidly inserted the headphone within the intersecting lights.

The sin of envy duplicated the fervor, attempting to overtake the headphone too.

The quiet Ekoh finally retaliated and a brighter gold light englobed the sin of envy and the Headphone. Pulling the situation to a standstill.

Nioh knew the next step relied entirely on him, success and failure depended on this moment. Despite the constraints of the sin of envy on his body, he forced himself with just willpower to stand. His body cracked with every gesture like fine porcelain, tears appeared on his skin and his bones were destroyed in the process.

"This devil Ekoh knew about this and did not warn me" He gritted through the pain and caught both the sin and envy and the Headphone in both hands.

A strong rejection appeared as both objects repulsed each other like magnets.

"My will is stronger than yours." He roared. As he suppressed the sin of envy and swallowed it.

"I got it from here," Ekoh said as the resurgence of the golden light in one stroke overtook all the green submitting it completely.

Nioh placed the headphones on his head and sat in a meditative position.

The golden hue encased him and the broken limbs and injured part of his body began to heal at visible rate.

The headphones lit up and began to process the signal. "The hard part is gone," he thought.

A thin hue of green could be seen within the gold aura surrounding him. A tiny star began to grow next to the existing three marking his rise to a four-star rank.

Behind his eyelids, a frenzied barrage of pictures tore through Nioh’s head like a flashbang. These were intense, unfiltered glimpses of something... else, not his recollections. A warped echo of the Envy he had just obtained, they pulsed with a primordial hunger, a need that echoed deep within him. It seemed as though the sin itself was revealing to him its appetites and desires.

He observed a light-wreathed figure that exuded strength and authority. Not a face he knew, but a force of domination, a creature at the height of its authority, revered and subservient. Then, the images shifted, A hulking form, draped in what looked like scavenged tech and bio-matter, hoarding resources, accumulating power, driven, obsessed with acquisition, never satisfied.

A gaunt figure, consumed by an inner fire fueled by a rage that seemed to burn from the inside out.

Then, a bloated form, surrounded by the remnants of past glories, empty, devoid of motivation, lost in a sea of self-indulgence.

Nioh felt the gnawing hunger for more, the burning fury, the numbing lethargy. He felt seductive whispers promising pleasure and control, and an insatiable craving, devouring everything in its path.

There were more sin out there, and his craving to submit them just began. fгeewebnovёl.com

"Did you see something?" Nioh asked. Ekoh replied by the negative.

Nioh stood and stretched, feeling his cracked limbs protest with a dull ache. It didn’t matter. He had done it—a Biocore-linked weapon. A feat no one had ever achieved.

He slid the headphones over his ears, and instantly, his left eye flared neon green. The world before him shifted. Waves—pulsing, spiraling, infinite in form and color—unfurled before his vision. For the first time, he was seeing the world he wasnt hearing.

Tentatively, he brushed his thumb over the volume key. The moment he increased it, more waves appeared—unfamiliar, alien frequencies pulsing in and out of existence. A tap on the lower key, and layers of waves peeled away, filtering out the unnecessary. It was like tuning the universe itself.

Then, the playlist appeared.

1 - Sound.mp3

2 - Gravity.wav

3 - light.mp3

...an infinite list stretched beyond sight.

His breath hitched. With a deep breath, he tapped the first track.

The world seemed to collapse and reform in an endless cycle, reality warping as space twisted upon itself. Waves of energy rippled outward, distorting the air, folding and condensing into something far more refined—pure sound waves, vibrating with an eerie resonance that sent shivers down the spine. It was the power of Envy Wave Transmutation, a force capable of rewriting the very fabric of existence through sound.

The effort, the sacrifices, the pain—it had all led to this moment. Every struggle, every sleepless night spent mastering the technique, every wound earned along the way—it was all worth it. The raw power humming in the air was proof of that

"We have acquired a god-level weapon," Ekoh said with shock. "I actually did not expect it to be this powerful. Makes me want to look for the rest of the sins"

"There is more?"

"There should be Six more"

" I am not doing this connect weapon thing ever again."

"Yes! Yes! Yes lord Ekoh" Nioh replied while walking toward the showers.

Understanding the realm of possibilities associated with his new tool became Nioh’s new daily task. He figured that the volume key allowed him to filter harmonic waves in his field of view according to their frequencies. The Higher they vibrated, the harder they were to control.
