Chapter 65: Tailless Dragon?

Jamie froze the space around her and delivered another kick to her chest, jumped up and gave her a knee kick to the face, before punching both sides of her face with lightning-encased fists.

Jamie spent the next few moments chaining in attacks in such a manner, and whenever Pirantu attempted any relations, he simply just ’glitched’ out of the way and then showered her in a flurry of blows as a response.

Any magic circles she attempted to conjure were sliced apart with a wave of his hands, and any weapons she tried to summon were broken down and destroyed with Jamie’s fists encased in destruction law energy.

Once she tried to strike him with a flame-engulfed fist, however, he teleported her body behind him, making her hit empty air.

She quickly tried turning around, moving in a clockwise arc, but Jamie also turned clockwise at the same time with his hand stretched out—the end result being a backhand slap that knocked her off balance.

Drawing in water universal law energy, Jaimie infused it into his palm and then gave her a proper slap that sent her body spinning through the air and slamming into the ground.

He grabbed her by the head and tried to pull her up, but she used her claws to try and slash him whilst sweeping her tail towards his legs.

Unfortunately, both attacks never hit their mark as the man’s eyes flashed, signifying the activation of his unreachability technique.

The space between her claws and his hand, as well as that between her tail and his legs, expanded to over twenty times their original dimensions, giving her more distance to cross in order to reach him.

However, Jamie could move through this expanded space like it was normal, something he proved by casually putting his hand into the affected area and grabbing onto her outstretched claws with a firm grip.

Using one hand to hold her wrist in place, the man proceeded to pull all her fingers beside her thumb, snapping them backwards, shattering the joints.

"GYAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

"Oh, I’m just getting started."

And indeed, he was.

Body strengthening magic activated, making Jamie’s muscles bulge up slightly as he squeezed down on her wrist, fracturing the bones there whilst simultaneously twisting her arm in the opposite direction of the limb’s intended movement.

Spatial energy surrounded her arm and distorted it, eliciting a scream of pain as her shoulder joint was dislocated forcefully.

"Hmm...I was aiming to shatter it completely. I guess dragon bones are stronger than I remember."

"HAAAA!!!!"

Pirantu bellowed in rage and threw a sound barrier-breaking punch towards the Hybrid, succeeding in getting her to let go of him and sending his body ’flying backwards’.

But when the dust cleared up, the Hybrid was revealed to still be standing on his two feet, and what’s more, there was a half-spherical barrier of blue aura floating in front of him.

The barrier had cracks all around it and shattered into shards of light right after, but its presence there revealed that her attack had not even so much as scratched him.

Gritting her teeth to bear the pain, the dragon used her other hand to force her shoulder back into its joint, before doing the same to her phalanges that had been twisted 45 degrees off course.

Of course, this was not even a fix to the situation, as the broken finger bones needed some time to heal, time that Jamie was not going to give her.

He charged in at full speed, giving her no choice but to use her only good arm to meet his charge with an attack, but the man only used his other hand to divert her punch to the side and then gave her an uppercut with the heel of his palm that made her brain shake in her skull.

"Mira, Anti-dragon weapon, please."

"Which one? Sword? Spear? Dagger?"

"Dagger."

"Okay, here."

Miranda dropped the weapon in his hand before flashing back to her previous position and relaxing on her reclining chair whilst watching Jamie beat up the dragon with 3D shades on.

As for Jamie, he struck Pirantu’s neck with the pommel of the dagger in his hand, before proceeding to stab her shoulder area repeatedly, and from how much pain shot through her body each time, the anti-dragon weapon was doing its job quite well.

Jamie stabbed her in the stomach three times and then turned around and flung her whole body over his shoulder, using the arm she had initially attacked him with.

Keeping his grip on her good arm, he decided to put it in a worse state than the other one.

First, he stabbed her shoulder with the dagger and then proceeded to stomp on it with enough force that the weapon pierced through her body and pinned it to the ground.

His left foot also slammed on the joint, dislocating it and fracturing all the bones there, whilst he twisted the arm, setting her elbow in position for his right foot that came in and volleyed the joint.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

After kicking her elbow in the other direction, he tuned out the sound of her screaming whilst analysing her state.

"This is not gonna work well; you can’t heal as fast as I want you to."

He let go of her arms and sliced his wrist with his nails, letting the blood that flowed out drip into her open mouth.

Just like it had done with Nelo earlier in the month, his blood stimulated her natural regenerative abilities brought on by her X1+ health stat, making the injuries he had just inflicted heal in merely half a minute.

Her broken elbow healed, along with the shattered shoulder bones, and her other arm’s phalanges, but the wounds caused by the dagger showed no signs of healing, just like the hole still present in Jamie’s chest.

That was all the blood she had forcefully ingested could do before its power ran out.

Jamie then nodded in satisfaction with a smile on his face, before proceeding to grab her arm again and kick her elbow out of proportion once more.

Pain shot through her consciousness, but Jamie was not done yet.

He grabbed the shattered elbow and squeezed it, shattering the broken bones there even more.

One might be wondering, how was Jamie achieving this with ease despite the fact that Pirantu had scales covering her arm.

Well, his palm was actually encased in a thin layer of spatial energy that carved out her scales with surgical precision upon contact with her arm, where Jamie’s body-strengthening magic-enhanced palms were now given free rein to do whatever they wanted.

Like pulling her whole body along with her broken arm and swinging it around like a slingshot about to be fired, before flinging her into the air,

Pirantu’s body hurtled towards the ground in an arc, crashlanding and rag-dolling on the floor for a few seconds whilst Jamie stood back and watched her in silence.

Jamie then proceeded to show how much patience he had, actually waiting for her to gather enough strength to stagger to her feet before asking.

"You recovered a bit? Then let’s continue."

He kicked off the ground and dashed forward, executing a frontal charge that Pirantu tried to break with her good arm, but Jamie only slid his body around and attempted to deliver a backhand punch to her head.

But his senses quickly picked up on a spiked appendage beelining straight for his torso, making him redirect his hand towards it to block.

The Hybrid caught her tail and then coating his hand in spatial energy, he sliced off the spiked tip, before muttering a line that would enrage any dragon.

"Now there’s no difference between you and my former pet lizard."

Pirantu twirled her body in a counter clockwise motion, her expression reflecting a blend of pain caused by her injured tail, the humiliation she couldn’t hide, and a surge of anger fuelled by Jamie’s words.

Her fist ignited with flames as she tried to punch Jamie, however, all the Hybrid needed was a glance to send her fist into a journey of over 10 times the distance between the two of them.

The flames around her hand surged and she drew in more universal law energy, infusing it into her arm in a bright spectacle.

"Hmm?"

"HAAARRGGG!!!!

She bellowed in rage as she punched through his spatial expansion, breaking through the technique and returning the space around her arm to normal.

Flames surged all around her fist, swirling in a bright red vortex that raced towards Jamie’s head at breakneck speed.

However, just when she thought she was finally going to be able to land that hit, she suddenly found her body in the air.

"...huh?"

Seeing the dragon striking empty air, sending a vortex of flames flying and painting the sky red, Jamie who was still on the ground placed a hand on his chin before saying.

"My energy blast skill came back recently, didn’t it?"

He stretched out his palm in her direction and with the aid of the surrounding water law energy, he condensed a beam of energy which he launched towards the airborne dragon.

**BOOOOMMMM!!!!

Pirantu barely blocked it with her good arm, but the resultant explosion of energy made that attempt entirely fruitless.

Her body was knocked further back into the air, hurtling through the clouds with gravity-defying force.

One arm was out of commission and the other was not too far off, she had injuries all over, and excluding the ones caused by the anti-dragon dagger, the barrage of attacks Jamie had delivered earlier left her with cuts, burns and bruises all over.

Her clothes might as well be considered rags at this point, and she was bloodied all over.

As for her energy reserves, the fact that she had mostly been relying on physical attacks or drawing in ambient law energies was enough to show she did not have much of that left.

In such a situation, her chances of victory were slim, and even when she added her remaining draconic powers into the equation, the situation didn’t change much.

While she considered possible scenarios in her mind, her form began shifting once more, and from her back, a pair of wings emerged, unfurling with energy whilst two horns spouted on the sides of her head simultaneously.

’Do I have no choice but to use ’that’?! But he’s an expert in spatial-related abilities!’

Just as she thought that, Jamie’s voice suddenly rang out beside her ears, carrying an eerie tinge of excitement in it.

"Wings! Glorious Wings!!"
