Chapter 223: Domain Declaration

A jagged fissure raced across the landscape, bisecting the satellite into two massive halves. Chunks of rock, some the size of mountains, were blasted away from the point of impact, spiralling into space.

Massive clouds of lunar dust billowed outward, creating a glowing halo around the fractured moon. Yet, despite the moon being cleaved in two, its core’s gravity held the halves suspended in space, preventing them from drifting apart entirely.

The core’s gravity, along with the gravitational pull of the nearby planet, ensured that the two halves didn’t fly off into the void, instead keeping them tethered, though their surfaces trembled and wobbled precariously.

The jagged edges of the split glowed faintly, remnants of the green energy that had caused the destruction.

Irenot, breathing heavily, allowed a smirk to cross his lips, convinced that even Jamie couldn’t have survived such an overwhelming strike.

But then, as the flames began to flicker and die out, a figure emerged.

Jamie floated up, adjusting the button on his blazer that had come undone. His skin, his clothes and even his hair seemed untouched by the devastating energy that had just engulfed him.

He brushed a few stray specks of lunar dust from his shoulder and glanced down at the fractured moon below. Chunks of debris still floated through the space, the remnants of Irenot’s attack drifting lazily in the low gravity.

’Oh, my durability is a lot higher than I expected.

That was also a lot stronger than I expected.’

While Jamie thought this, Irenot’s eyes widened in disbelief. Jamie had tanked the full force of the most powerful technique he could use right now—unscathed.

|Y-YOU!!!! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!|

Irenot bellowed in fury and unleashed a barrage of lasers, each one deadly enough to melt through mountains and continents.

Seeing the incoming barrage, Jamie snapped his fingers and summoned azure-rimmed wormholes around him, each portal absorbing the lasers as they approached.

Jamie then combined the wormholes into one and then shrunk that one into his palm, concentrating the absorbed energy into the palm of his hand.

He infused cosmic energy into it and transformed it into a powerful force that could tear apart the moon they were on completely and without hesitation, he hurled it down towards Irenot who quickly conjured a shield to defend himself.

The collision between attack and shield resulted in a deafening explosion of energy, the shockwave rippling across the moon’s surface and covering the area in blinding light and dust. The explosion was so fierce that for a moment, Irenot’s vision was completely obscured.

Sensing danger, Irenot instinctively bent his body backwards just in time to avoid Jamie’s incoming fist, which would have delivered a devastating uppercut. The near miss was enough to put him on edge, but before he could react, Jamie’s other fist, tightly clenched around a second orb of energy, slammed toward his face.

The orb detonated right in front of Irenot’s face, unleashing a blinding explosion. The blast sent Irenot flying back dozens of meters, his form crashing into the cracked surface of the moon and skidding across the ground, leaving a deep trail in the lunar soil.

Gritting his teeth, Irenot forced himself to his feet, grabbed one of his last two floating orbs and summoned the same power he used to split the moon in half earlier.

The orb cracked as he infused energy into it, but Irenot didn’t care and sent the colossal lance of destructive lance hurtling towards Jamie who clapped his palms together and pointed them forward, summoning a void beam of his own.

The dark energy spiralled from his hands, meeting Irenot’s beam head-on and the clash of the two beams was nothing short of catastrophic.

The already fractured moon groaned under the pressure, with massive chunks of its surface beginning to break apart, drifting away as debris.

For a moment, the two beams fought for dominance, pushing against one another with equal ferocity. But Jamie’s void beam began to overpower Irenot’s, inching forward towards the Beast Lord.

Jamie’s void beam surged with cosmic energy, overpowering Irenot’s laser in an instant.

From Irenot’s point of view, the attack suddenly got stronger out of nowhere and tore through his beam, colliding with him and blasting him down to the moon’s surface.

The impact created a massive explosion, splitting the moon further and burying Irenot in a wave of cosmic destruction.

This should be enough...’

Jamie used his appraisal skill to check Irenot’s stat values, feeling he had shaved the Beast Lord’s vitality to a suitable level. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"Let’s end it in grand style."

He muttered under his breath as he decided to end the fight in a grand style, befitting a moment of triumph that would soon see him regain his Cosmic Superiority.

Unleashing all his remaining energy, a surge of overwhelming Authority swept across the area and every inch of ambient cosmic energy within the surrounding space snapped to attention, bending to Jamie’s will.

The cosmic energy vibrated as Jamie drew it in, and he then used space itself to delineate a boundary line around him.

Sensing this, Lapis’ eyes widened and she immediately sent out orders to every single one of her subordinates who was using a Bounded Field, warning them to dismiss their fields IMMEDIATELY.

She did this as she knew what Jamie was about to use was no ’Bounded Field’.

It was what could be called the ’Finished Product’ of the prototype which was a Bounded Field.

’Surely, there’s no need to go this far, right?’

Lapis had this thought as she saw Jamie’s spatial power wash over the surrounding space and his authority as the Child of Space manifested itself.

Irenot, sensing Jamie’s intent, trembled in desperation. He couldn’t let this happen. Roaring in defiance, he grabbed the last floating orb, gathering the last remnants of his power and concentrated it into a blinding laser.

But this time, instead of a wide slash, Irenot focused the energy into a single, devastating point, hoping to punch through Jamie’s defences before his plan came to fruition.

However, it was too late.

Before the beam could reach Jamie, his Jamie’s lips parted, and with a voice that echoed across space, he uttered the two words.

|Domain Declaration. |

Instantly, everything within the boundary fell under Jamie’s control. Space itself warped, and Irenot’s laser was helplessly diverted. The beam veered off course, streaking into the void, disappearing into nothingness.

And then, the reality around them changed.

For a brief moment, all light vanished, plunging the battlefield into an eerie darkness.

When light entered their eyes once more, the scene around them panned out, as if the very fabric of reality was being zoomed out from their perspective.

First, the battlefield zoomed out to encompass the entire solar system, its star glowing faintly in the distance. Then it panned further, showing dozens of neighbouring solar systems, their stars twinkling like distant embers.

But it didn’t stop there.

The vision continued to expand, panning outward with breath-taking speed, revealing hundreds, thousands, and then millions of stars. Galaxies swirled into view, their spirals and clusters of light swirling amidst the infinite expanse of dark matter.

The zoom continued panning out, showing galaxies of galaxies and eventually, it expanded into a breath-taking phenomenon.
