Beyond the Bloodline-Chapter 151: Aspects of the Wolf
Jamie’s wound healed, leaving no evidence he had been harmed save the blood staining his fur and he leapt into the sky after Ikerth.
Claws clashed, with scales and flesh being ripped out and crimson blood spraying down onto the earth below.
Ikerth’s spiked tail snapped forward like a snake, hitting Jamie in the side and knocking him down to the ground where he bashed through a small mountain.
The dragon quickly gathered his magic power, swirling and condensing it in preparation to fire a lava breath.
"?!"
Suddenly, he sensed danger from his side but before he could even cancel his breath or turn his head, massive wolf jaws appeared beside him and clamped down on his neck with force.
"GRRAAOOORR!!!"
The dragon roared in pain as the wolf’s razor-sharp teeth pierced his scales and dug holes in his neck. Following up, a torrent of purple flames blasted from the wolf’s mouth, burning off even more scales and rending his flesh.
It caused the energy that he had gathered in preparation for a breath to explode in his throat, dealing massive internal damage to the dragon.
He swung his spiked tail once more, however, the wolf let go of him and descended to the ground before the tail could reach.
Landing on a mountain, the purple-furred wolf released a deafening roar, accompanied by a burst of sonic energy that knocked Ikerth out of the sky.
Seeing the falling dragon, Jamie crouched down, taking a deep breath as he activated his Unique Skill—the trump card that he had been saving for Ikerth.

A surge of crimson energy burst from his form, melding in with his characteristic blue spatial power and enveloping his as he called out the name of his Privilege.

**CRACCKK!!!
With a deafening crack, the fabric of space within a 500-metre radius of his potion broke down. Time distorted and a vortex of spatial destruction power obliterated everything in its wake.
Jamie then leapt off the ground and towards Ikerth, slashing down with his claws covered in spatial destruction power.
Ikerth roared, understanding that the current Jamie was a lot more DANGEROUS, and he coated his body in his flaming destruction energy and lunged forward, slashing back at Jamie.
Their claws met with a shower of sparks, each strike sending shockwaves that pulverized the ground beneath them.
Ikerth backed away to avoid Miranda’s attack from the side, before leaping into the air and unleashing a torrent of molten lava from his jaws.
Jamie roared and swung his claws, releasing a five-pronged projected slash towards him.
’Dimensional Slicing?!’
Ikerth’s eyes widened in realization. Recognizing the spatial power infused in those slashes, similar to what Jamie had used to cleave his Lava Star, he hastily veered away to evade the onslaught.
However, Miranda leapt into the air and slammed her body into his, knocking him back onto the path of the oncoming slashes.
The spatial slashes struck true, ripping deep wounds across Ikerth’s torso, eliciting a cry of pain from the dragon.
Jamie leapt into the air and swung his claws once more, with Ikerth responding with a similar claw swipe.
Unfortunately for him, Jamie’s spatial destruction proved too powerful and his Ikerth’s right arm was nearly severed.
Using the gravitational force, Jamie spun around, delivering a powerful kick to the side of Ikerth’s head with his hind legs.
As the dragon was knocked through the air, Miranda vaulted up and used both forelimbs to slam Ikerth’s body down to the ground.
"Ignis Vitalis!"
Ikerth activated a healing spell to mend his wounded arm, before jumping out of the way to avoid Miranda’s fire breath.
He unleashed a Lava Breath in response while conjuring another Lava Star and sending it towards Jamie.
In the face of the swirling mass of continental destruction, Jamie raised his left forelimb and activated a technique.

With his claws, he tore through the Lava Star and the spatial destruction power covering him made the space collapse, creating a rift that absorbed the explosion.
Shifting his attention, Jamie saw Miranda biting down on his wounded right arm, attempting to tear it off with her jaws while Ikerth roared and fired a point-blank breath at Miranda. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
The Lava burnt through her fur and melted her flesh, but her powerful regeneration kicked in and her wounds were mended just as quickly as they formed.
The dragon swung his tail to try and knock her off him, but Jamie leapt in, clamping his jaws around the tail.

Jamie’s jaws pierced through Ikerth’s scales with ease and dug into his flesh, giving him a firm grip on the dragon’s tail.
Immediately, Miranda let go of Ikerth’s arm and leapt backwards, a second before Jamie started running forward while dragging the dragon by his tail.
Ikerth flapped his wings and tried to take to the skies, but Jamie used the power of gravity to hold the dragon down, nullifying his attempts at flight.
Jamie ran through several mountains and rivers, dragging Ikerth’s body along the unforgiving ground below.
"Violet Inferno: Charred Remnants."
Miranda’s voice rang out as she leapt in front of them, her paws coated in purple fire. She then began running in front of Jamie, leaving behind a trail of smouldering embers with each step, scorching the earth.
It was over this scorched earth that Jamie dragged Ikerth’s body. This went on for a distance of over 5 kilometres before Jamie finally stopped and swung the dragon into the air by his tail.
As his body flew over her head, Miranda stopped and deactivated her technique, before taking a deep breath and activating her second Unique Skill.
"Supernova: Celestial Fury."
The woman channelled the fury of the cosmos, unleashing a devastating breath of celestial energy that crashed into Ikerth with overwhelming power.
The impact sent the dragon hurtling higher into the sky, enduring the assault for a full ten seconds before Miranda ceased her attack.
Jamie’s brief astonishment at Miranda’s use of her second Unique Skill didn’t distract him from seizing the opportunity she’d created.
He teleported and appeared in front of Ikerth’s falling form, slashing down at the dragon’s back and tearing off another pair of wings.
Red scales scattered into the air as Jamie slashed down wildly with his claws, ripping through Ikerth’s flesh until the dragon fell to the ground.
With a skid across the earth, Jamie landed, then sprang back into action towards Ikerth. But he was met by the dragon’s gaping maw, lava churning within.
’Lava Breath!’
At the last moment before the stream of lava escaped his mouth, Miranda released a burst of sonic energy that knocked Ikerth’s head to the side, diverting the trajectory of the breath and allowing Jamie to land a clean hit on the dragon’s shoulder.
With a roar, Ikerth pounded his hands and tail into the ground, sending out a shockwave that sent the two Hybrids tumbling. He then lunged at Jamie, claws aglow with a menacing crimson hue.
’Dragon flame. Hex of Decay. Curse of Agony. Annihilation Strike!’
The combination of techniques was unleashed on Jamie; however, the Hybrid created a powerful spatial barrier that blocked the combined power of the four techniques.
Having his attack blocked so easily infuriated Ikerth and he overloaded his claws with destruction energy before slashing down simultaneously with both.
"VOID SHREDDER!!"
True to its name, Ikerth’s claws ripped through the fabric of space itself, shredding Jamie’s barrier as if it were mere paper and leaving behind rifts that warped both space and time.
If it wasn’t for Jamie’s spatial attunement, then he would have been pulled towards those rifts by the power of the void beyond.
Ikerth unleashed another Annihilation strike and Jamie met his attack head on.
Their clash was brief but intense, with Jamie employing his jaws to grip Ikerth’s shoulder and throw the dragon off balance.
Even as he rolled on the floor and bled, Ikerth roared and unleashed a point-blank Lava Breath at Jamie’s flank.

Though the Lava Breath struck Jamie, lifting him off the ground and scorching his fur to reveal his skin, he remained unharmed beneath the surface.
No blood was spilled.
His burnt fur regrew immediately and Ikerth released another breath attack in his direction. This time, Jamie did not attempt to tank it and instead opted for a counter.
