Chapter 477: Chapter 88: Election Strategy_2

"So... motherfucking Jeff and a bunch of Cubans are running for office, and in the end it’s the unlucky niggers who get beaten?" Martin’s brain almost crashed on the spot. White people and Cubans were running against each other, but his boss’s idea was to have a group of black people take the beating from the Cubans, to win sympathy and support for the white guy Jeff. Was this really something that people in the free and democratic United States of America would do? He asked with crazed eyes wide open:

"Do you know, boss, this scenario feels strangely familiar to me. Legend has it that during the days when niggers were still slaves, two white farm owners’ sons started fighting over the order of their turns on the swing. The farm owners decided to teach their sons a lesson in politeness and deference, so they punished the two white boys severely. In the end, the little nigger attendants who followed the white brats around each received a harsh whipping of ten lashes." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Tommy, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, gazed at the scenery whizzing past the car window: "Considering our nation is currently in the midst of a major crisis, the conflict between blacks and whites is all just fucking minor issues. It doesn’t matter who’s the master and who’s the slave. What’s important now is that outsiders are invading. Regardless of whether they were masters or slaves, it’s time for us to set aside our differences and unite. Let’s kick those damned Cubans out first and then talk about how many lashes the niggers deserve afterwards."

"In other words, when this country faces trouble, white people need the help of niggers before they remember ’Ah, right, niggers are Americans too, let them join in’ kind of thing." Martin tried to inject a mocking and sarcastic tone into his speech.

Unfortunately, Tommy showed no reaction after listening, instead he nodded repeatedly: "Exactly, that’s the way it is. Also, put the photos of Jeff embracing the old black veterans from the nursing homes on the newspapers that black people like to read. We need to instil in them the understanding that both black and white people are free Floridians, but those damn Cubans are just fucking Cubans."

The attitude was so off that Martin couldn’t help but wonder if he had used the wrong tone. Did his boss really not catch the sarcasm and actually take it as encouragement?

Before Martin could open his mouth to further press his luck, Tommy had already exhaled a puff of smoke and said:

"You also need to register a political consulting firm as soon as possible. How much money you take as a fee from Jeff’s political action committee will be determined by the service contract you offer him."

Martin was momentarily stunned: "You mean, I... I register a company, I’m the boss? Whatever amount I put in the contract, Jeff has to pay me?"

Tommy nodded: "And you don’t have to split it with me, or with Page and the nasty guys from the filming crew. Whatever you make is all yours, of course. If you need to hire people aside from us, you’ll have to pay those expenses. You don’t owe me a dime."

"How many niggers did you say you needed to get beaten up by Cubans, boss?" Martin asked Tommy, recovering from his shock.

Niggers were going to get beaten up by white cops anyway, getting beaten up by Cubans wasn’t a big deal in comparison; after all, he wouldn’t be the one taking the hits; it would be some other unfortunate niggers.

His boss had never been this generous before; an entire company was to be his, Martin’s, and Tommy was even willing to help him brainstorm for free. All the money would be under his control. What in the world had happened? Had the Gambia’s Black Star finally flattened the Soviet Union in just three days and now decided to invade America, prompting his miserly white boss to curry favor with him before black people actually ruled the country, lest he be caught and executed by firing squad?

"According to today’s data, after visiting all seventeen nursing homes, we should be able to raise about eighteen thousand dollars. The number of people willing to vote for and support Jeff should—at the very least—reach three thousand. As a campaign manager who can get a fool like Jeff the support of three thousand people in a short time, even if you lose in the end, you will still be regarded as a big player by many. To acquire your talent, they will invest in or buy your small company, allowing you to make a good sum of money and then join a larger political consulting firm, assisting more politicians in their campaigns. Simply put, in the eighteenth district with two hundred thousand voters, if you manage to get Jeff, a political newbie, ten thousand votes in this election, your company is worth seven hundred thousand, win or lose. That’s the real cost of a vote in election campaigns. Politicians need to spend roughly a hundred dollars to secure one vote, and of that, seventy dollars is made by the company employing them to devise a campaign strategy or serving as their campaign manager," explained Tommy, reclining in his seat with a smile.

Unable to resist, Martin leaned from the back seat to the front, turned his head towards Tommy, and said, "You mean... a political consulting company that gets niggers beaten up, steals Trojan from supermarkets, and writes letters to white people conning them into supporting Cubans, is worth seven hundred thousand dollars? Apart from writing letters to white people, which seems unlikely, getting beaten up and stealing are things that most niggers do regularly..."

"While you continue your visits and speeches with Jeff for the next few days, I will go about raising additional funds. You also need to take the time to register a private public opinion polling company and hire a team of telephone surveyors. This way, you can legitimately obtain the home phone numbers of the residents in our district in the name of the polling company and conduct public opinion surveys without being accused of harassment, even though it is essentially just harassing them over the phone," Tommy flicked some ashes, directing his advice to Martin.
