"You know what, mother? I did a little bit of digging on Darren after he came here that day and all the news recorded about him was that he was a workaholic that never paid attention to anything that wasn’t work related."

"He wasn’t even in a relationship and never considers the opposite gender but now all of a sudden, he’s interested in Kalia, why?" I went further to ask.

"If that man is truly in love with Kalia and is planning to get married to her and perform the mating ritual then he most definitely meant it."

Blowing out a deep breath, I picked up a scrunchie and made an attempt to tie my hair up into a bun.

"Today he ordered father to open up the door to Kalia’s room. He commanded father and he had no choice but to obey him."

"If Kalia finally gets married to him then she will be ordering us around. You, father and I won’t have a say in anything anymore." I explained to her.

"You will kneel down in front of her. You will do her bidding and you will address her name with respect."

"You will bow down to a lowly Omega servant mother and she will toss you around like nothing. You will be a mere plaything to do whatever she wants as she pleases, so are you prepared for it?"

My mother slopped to the nearest couch after giving my words some thought. I could tell that she was scared just like I was because I could see the fear flash in her eyes.

She had never given it this much thought but I had and I knew that it was only a matter of time before things spiral out of control.

Kalia will definitely come for us. There was no doubt about that. She meant it when she said that she would ruin me and now she’s about to do that.

"What happened here?" Father asked as soon as he stepped into the living room that I had thrashed single handedly.

He looked disappointed but then again, he looked more hurt and angry than disappointed so instead of scolding me, he ordered the maids to clean the place up.

"What are we going to do about your stupid daughter?" My mother stood up to her feet to attack my father.

My words must have touched a nerve because I have never seen my mother this bold and serious about anything before.

"I only have one daughter and that’s Celyn. The other one is a disgrace." He spat in disdain.

I was actually happy that he acknowledged me as his daughter instead of Kalia which meant that he actually loved me more.

"And what are you going to do about that so called disgrace because like it or not, you were the one who made her a part of our family." She accused him and rightfully so because if he hadn’t let her stay with us, we probably wouldn’t be going through this predicament right now.

"If you had rejected her as your child and sent her away when you had the chance then we probably wouldn’t be going through this much troubles."

"I have sent a message to Callum’s father." He informed my mother.

"He is also aware of the news and he’s planning to organize a meeting to discuss everything that has happened so far but he has assured me that the marriage between the two of them will not happen."

My eyes lit up at that statement and a smile crossed my lips.

"He told me himself that he would never approve an alliance between his heir and a wolfless Omega." He went on.

"He assured me that Darren will be put in his place and Kalia would never succeed in whatever she was planning with him. She must’ve bewitched him to agree to be with her but he would never let it happen so you don’t have to worry."

"Well, if the Alpha King has promised that himself then it means that we don’t need to worry." My mother sat down next to me and gently stroked my hair.

"Your father has set everything straight so you don’t have to worry about that girl anymore because she wouldn’t be able to come between you Celyn."

"Thank you father." I said and stood up to hug him. "You’re the best father in the whole world and I love you so much."

"I love you very much my princess and I want you to be happy." He patted my hair lovingly after pulling away from the hug.

"I will do everything in my power to make sure that you are happy and that I promise you."

Callum chose that exact moment to enter. The look on his face told me that he didn’t have a good conversation with his brother.

They must have ended up fighting when he went to confront him at his house. Everything was beginning to make sense now.

"Celyn." He whispered and walked up to me. "I’m sorry for everything that happened to you but you don’t have to worry about Kalia anymore okay."

"She’s only jealous of what we share and I promise that she can’t come between us." He said and hugged me.

"I know that she can’t come between us. If it’s okay with you, I would like us to begin our relationship together in the open." He said with a huge smile playing on his lips.

"You’re the one I love anyway and I do not want to end up with someone else. I will convince my parents to let us be together. What do you think?"

"Of course." I conceded, hugging him tightly. "That will be lovely."

At first, my plan was to get married to Callum but after finding out that he’s not the rightful heir to his father’s empire, I guess that it’s time to change the course of that plan.

There are bigger things to achieve now.

Not only will I get married to Callum but I will definitely use him to get closer to Darren. If I’m able to get pregnant for Darren one way or another then I might end up becoming the Luna queen.

No father would want his child born out of wedlock and the first son of the Alpha’s heir will definitely rule the pack so no matter what, Darren will end up becoming mine sooner or later and I will see to it that it happens.
