Chapter 248: You are jealous!

[Margaret’s POV]

In response to my slight ’accusation,’ Donald did not utter a word, simply hooking the corners of his lips, firmly pressing over me without any intention to let go.

He slowly bowed his head, and the hot breath from between his nostrils ran wild like electricity along my neck, prompting me to twist uncomfortably and raise my hand to lightly resist his pressing body, hoarsely reminding him, "My waist is still sore, can you let me off just this once?"

In the same place and posture, with the same person, just a few hours ago, I had just concluded a passionate and exhausting session of lovemaking with Donald. Indeed, I was a bit more than I could handle at the moment.

"I have something to ask you. Can you get off me first, please?" I said softly to Donald, gently caressing his cheek with my hand.

Donald looked into my eyes tranquilly, as if he was pondering whether or not to listen to me and give me a break.

After a few seconds, he caught my hand and kissed it, then rolled onto his side, leaning against the wall behind him, but his hand that was wrapped around my waist did not loosen at all, "What do you want to ask? Is it about Lillian?"

At his words, I snorted softly and looked up at him with a twisted mouth, "So you knew I wanted to ask about that? Tell me honestly, just how many ’close female friends’ have you had before? Other than Lillian and Angel, are there many others who like you this much?"

"Hmm, I only realized today, after meeting Lillian, that there really, really are a lot of girls who like you and admire you. With no fuss, you’ve set up so many rivals in love for me!"

Thinking about this, I became somewhat exhausted and leaned into Donald’s embrace, pretending to sigh with weariness as I felt all my jealousy pouring out.

Yet, the ’culprit’ responsible for all this did not rush to explain or clarify after hearing my interrogation. Instead, Donald just looked at me with amusement in his eyes, as if the expression on my face was something incredibly entertaining.

I glared at him with some displeasure, slowly sitting upright from his embrace, and pursued relentlessly with my words, "I’m asking you something, didn’t you hear me? What exactly is your relationship with that Lillian?"

"Why did Austin say you and her grew up together since childhood? Didn’t you grow up in the Palace? Why then would you be involved with them, brother and sister?"

"Speaking of which, you have quite a few childhood friends! Who else is there? You better come clean with me! What are you laughing at... stop laughing!"

Perhaps finding my behavior extremely amusing, Donald’s smile grew bigger as he listened, as if he was about to burst into laughter at any second.

The very serious me: "..."

"Donald, if you keep laughing, I’m going to get angry!"

"I’m sorry, baby, don’t be angry, I really didn’t mean to laugh at you! It’s just that you’re so adorable—I’ve never seen you act so coquettishly before. Are you jealous? You are just too cute, how can you be this cute?"

Donald wrapped his arms around me tightly, his handsome face bursting with an open smile.

I looked at him somewhat speechlessly, my eyes filled with protest and dissatisfaction, "I’m discussing serious matters with you, and you actually think I’m acting coquettishly? Where am I acting coquettishly? I’m being very serious, okay?"

"Alright, alright, you’re not acting coquettishly, is that okay? You’re jealous!" Donald looked at me with a helpless face, his eyes, like precious stones, brimming with indulgence and joy. He seemed to particularly enjoy such simple happiness, just because I was jealous over his and Lillian’s interaction.

I narrowed my eyes at him in a decidedly dissatisfied manner and remained silent, but my demeanor was resolutely demanding honesty from him.

Donald observed me for several seconds, apparently completely defenseless against this side of me, and immediately surrendered, chuckling while nodding in response, "Alright, baby, whatever you want to know, I’ll tell you everything. Don’t be angry, okay?"

He said while kissing my forehead, exhaling softly, then continued, "Actually, I’m not very close to Lillian. It’s not like Austin said, growing up together with the siblings from childhood."

"At most, Lillian was a playmate for half a month during our childhood, and that was many years ago. To me, she is simply Austin’s sister, nothing more, nothing less."

"You are the first person I have truly liked and loved, no one can compare to the place you hold in my heart, you are unique! The one I love now is you, and it will only be you in the future as well. Does that make you feel a bit more assured?"

It turned out Donald had always been aware of the immense pressure in my heart. He was not the type of man to constantly spout sweet nothings. Instead, he offered me comfort and support more through his actions.
