365 Days To Love-Chapter 91 - NINETY-ONE: Chaos In The Family.

Avery couldn’t stand the bad feeling on her mind that something was wrong when Zaiden came down for breakfast without Hazel but his side.

The same grumpy look that was on his face yesterday morning when they were having breakfast was still etched on his face like he was born with him,no, something was definitely wrong.

Surprisingly, Sophia wasn’t present too because Nathan and his dad came down and the expression on their faces was nothing compared to that on her son’s face.

What the hell is happening?

Grandpa had his head bowed down without glancing at anyone, if anything he wasn’t interested in what was bothering them,which irked Avery.

The atmosphere today was annoying and what made it worse was that her son ignored her and her husband and greeted only Grandpa who was willing to treat his fuck up if he messed around.

She noticed the same smile on Nathan’s face when he approached the dining table. It had always been that way with Nathan so she didn’t suspect much because he was one unpredictable and one complicated person to read but his son’s mood was what bothered her, especially since Hazel was nowhere to be seen.

"Where’s she?"She couldn’t hold it in any longer when she waited for some minutes without any sign of both Hazel and Sophia.

It had always been a habit of Sophia to skip breakfast so she wasn’t worried about her but it was different with her baby girl,she was still new to everything here and won’t skip breakfast for any reason.

She loved food,that was the first thing she noticed about her.

She noticed the way Zaiden’s lips formed into a thin line over her question, Ezekiel was watching him too with keen eyes but didn’t interfere in the drama,his mind was far and didn’t remember that he had some sort of complicated issue with his daughter in-law yesterday.

"Why would I know where she is?"Zaiden questioned back,this time he had his head raised as everyone took in his Ill form,Grandpa was in cue to glance at him,it’s already obvious without Avery telling him that something was wrong with him and his special daughter-in-law.

Nathan didn’t say anything,he was amused at the whole scene likewise his father whose demeanour changed instantly when his nephew talked back to his mother in a really undeserving tone.

He nearly forgot about what he did yesterday because he had been occupied with Sophia and cleaning up after her mess.

He wondered why he hadn’t heard any commotion pertaining to the dead body,he just wished she had told him where she kept him,so that he would take care of it,but Sophia was a stubborn ass just like Nathan.

He was relieved that he had woken up before her,he didn’t want her doing that before him and scare the shit out of him if eventually she wasn’t herself,but here he was instead of taking care of her was down here watching the drama between his sister in-law and his nephew unfold before his very eyes,he would have stayed up but Nathan didn’t buy the idea,he said it would look more suspicious if he skipped breakfast with his mom.

He’s already sensing bad energy coming from his dad and wondered if he knew about it already because his room was on the first floor,making it closer to whatever place Sohia carries her uncanny acts.

Was he pretending and waiting for the right time to expose them?

No! His dad won’t delay one bit in throwing their ass out of the house if he caught Sophia yesterday but why does he still feel uncomfortable under his scrutinizing gaze.

He should be talking to his daughter in-law and grandson who were bickering at each other but rather he had his whole attention on him,did Ezekiel rat him out to him?

"Did you just question me?’’Avery clenched her fist under the table,luck was on Zaiden’s side because he was on the other side of the table sitting beside Nathan and his dad, he would have received a hot slap for talking that way at her.

She’s really had enough of his arrogant ass but what would she do? It’s late to change him because she’s been the one to pamper him to the wits even when Ezekiel complained she didn’t listen.

So why regret your actions now Avery?

"Young man that’s no way to talk to your mother, apologize right now?!"Ezekiel interfered when it’s obvious to him that his son wasn’t regretting his actions,his dad was unbelievably cool and relaxed about this which made him wonder why?

He saw the way he scoffed at his words, dropping his cutlery,he didn’t eat anything just playing with his food,he didn’t for once ask him what was wrong with him.

Nathan placed his hands and mumbled something to Zaiden that was incoherent for him to catch on but the death glare Zaiden sent his way made him retract his hand immediately,his head bending low in disbelief.

"Zaiden Knights!"He thundered.

"Can you stop with it already?It’s annoying that I have to hear your voice don’t make it any worse than it has to be ’’He said looking straight at his dad,his grandpa didn’t say anything which made everyone scared over his silence.

"What?"Ezekiel mumbled in disbelief.

"Don’t be such a bad ass nephew,stop it already"This time,Elijah intervened in the situation trying to act like the nice guy but it was already affecting Avery sick in the stomach at his act,he’s not a good actor at masking his mocking face.

Nathan held himself from bursting into laughter,he should launched a punch at Zaiden right in the face for having the audacity of throwing a tantrum when the old man was presence,but the man’s silence made him change his mind about acting like the good guy here, he’s so anxious to know how long the old man can stand this.

He didn’t know what exactly was the problem here but he’s no fool, his dad has a hard time with whatever was affecting the three seeing as he’s also keen on saving the day when the three battle at each other,such a sweet sight!

"Get up"Ezekiel asked but not in a nice tone,his fist was tightened which everyone noticed,his son was not ignorant to notice that his dad was in the verge of losing his cool,it’s just a small bit that was remaining,but he surprised everyone when he object to what his father asked of him, rather...

"Why should I?Are you afraid that I would say it here?"Zaiden’s statement made everyone antsy to know what the real reason for all this was,Nathan shifted in his seat but his dad remained cole just like grandpa who was looking at his dad with sharp calculative eyes,much for his silence,Nathan noticed he was studying everyone’s composure here and seeing as his eyes remained fixed in his dad, something was wrong.

"What are you talking about?"Ezekiel inquired.

"Ma Lee!’’Avery shouted for the head of the maids,as she rushed over with her head bowed in fear,this was the first time she was shouting her name with much audacity laced in it.

The other servants were outside eavesdropping on the commotion that was happening inside after hearing the first Eldest master, Ezekiel shouted his son’s name.

"Check up on the young miss"Avery said while watching her son with an unfading observation,she was interested in what he had to say about his dad that made him like this,but she wanted to make sure that her daughter was safe.

His son was changing,and at a fast one,was it because of Hazel?

She also didn’t understand the old man anymore,he was unusually quiet because he was one who treasure peace more than anything but here he was silent eating his meal without any care when his household were at the neck of each other.

Zaiden dropped his fork already fed up with his dad’s pretense,did he take him for a fool or what? Or was he trying to get himself out of the situation by lying just like his fianceè did?

Talking about her,he didn’t check up on her after he placed her on the bed after finding her on the floor. He took his bath and left for breakfast because he was still angry,no,more than angry at her for what she did to care about If she died in her sleep or not.

But did he want her to leave?

That question was still unanswered after what happened yesterday.

"Sit down"Ezekiel’s voice stopped him when he stood to leave,as much as he’s mad at what his father did,he didn’t want to hurt his mother by bringing her husband’s affair in front of his cousin and uncle who were trying hard to mask the mock on their face at the incident here.

Moreover,he didn’t know why he felt his heart tightening at the fact that she may leave if the truth gets out,Grandpa may treasure and fancy her but a whore in his house was a big reason to cancel the engagement.

"Ma’am"Ma Lee’s voice came as she fell on the floors,her voice breaking down which had everyone’s attention, including Zaiden,he didn’t move one bit waiting for what she had to say about his girl.

"What’s wrong?Tell me!?"Avery stood up from her seat not liking the situation at all,Ma Lee was scaring the shit out of her.

"She’s .. she’s not.. breathing"

"What!"Avery screamed, almost falling but Ezekiel was fast in catching her before she hit the floor.

Grandpa reacted this time,by pulling Zaiden by his collar,his fists tightened while Nathan dashed out towards their room which surprised Elijah.

What’s wrong with his son?

They heard a loud Shriek as the chief of staff came in with a young maid whose face was designed with tears,the look on the chief of staff was not convincing at all which didn’t last long because Elijah knew what it was all about.

"What’s Wrong?"Ezekiel asked this time while holding Avery close to him who struggled out of his hold while glaring daggers at her son whose face was nothing to write home about.

He was emotionless,even at the hold of his grandpa who pushed him aside to know what exactly was happening in is household, turning to the chief of staff,

"There’s a dead body outside"
