Ethan knew that getting closer to Nathan was the worst strategy ever to get to talk to Hazel,he needed to see her but the report he got from the men he sent to keep check on her was futile.
Nathan was a corky bastard back then in highschool so there’s nothing that was going to work out between them but he had to try,meeting him at the hospital was a coincidence.
At First he thought of the reason why he was at the hospital,he thought it was Hazel that was sick but his friend got his mind calm down when he gave him the information about who he came to see.

He knew how cunning and manipulative he was back then in highschool and it was no secret that him and his elder brother wasn’t on good terms,so it’s not a good idea if he went to the hospital to see Hazel when he would be the happiest if anything happens to his brother’s fianceè.
Fianceè?That’s what they were,he didn’t know what’s stopping them from releasing the wedding date to the public,he knew that it was going to be difficult doing that after what transpired at the engagement party between her fiance and her fiance’s hidden girlfriend.
Although the rumours had died down and they had claimed that they have nothing to do with the model,he knew that was a lie,they were just trying to protect their reputation.
But what made him confused and intrigued pry more into Their business,was to what reason on how she got entangled with the Knights.
For all he knew about them,to the business world,they were at the top,but that was just it,they hardly have empathy for human beings.
They were one cunny family just like Nathan is and won’t have second thoughts at eliminating anyone that stands in the way of their success.
His father had been the victim and that’s what triggered the bad blood between the two families,the story between the two families was a long one which his dad wasn’t complying to tell him,he was just secretive about the whole thing which irked him off.
He needed to know what that family did to him so as to save Hazel from them, but his mind was telling him that as much as he’s trying to find a way to get her out there that the girl was the one willing not to leave.
She’s a nobody,a nobody who got accepted into that family for what reasons?
The media houses have tried all they could to get a glimpse of the lucky lady’s name and a hint of who she was,but the family is doing a perfect job in keeping everything at bay,triggering the interest of the citizens further in their life.
The knock on his room door brought him back to his senses as he’s immersed in his thoughts earlier,he gave his approval to whoever it was to come in.
"Sir"Tyson came in holding a file while Ethan stood up immediately, snatching it out of his hands to tear it open.
The pictures of a young girl were in it and some papers, turning to look up at Tyson who had a questioning look on his face for his interest in the Knights family’s new daughter-in-law, because he wasn’t one to meddle into people’s business.
"Who is she?"He asked, staring at Sunny.
"She’s the young lady’s roommate and close friend,they have been living together since she left the orphanage"
’`Not her sister?’’He asked,well he’s not surprised that she lied to him on the first day they met,who would give out personal information to a stranger.
"No"
"That means she’s lying"He mumbled to himself,looking at the information on Sunny,she’s pretty.
He smiled which made Tyson noticed and cleared his throat and then the smile died down when he discovered what he just did. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"What about Hazel? Any further improvement on Keeping watch on her?"he inquired with a straight face trying to hide what he just did,but Tyson wasn’t one to be fooled.
The young master had taken an interest in Hazel’s roommate.
Not that it’s confirmed yet but the way he was smiling at her picture,what a relief,in so many years that’s the first time he got interested in a woman.
"I’m afraid not sir,she hadn’t left the building"Tyson said,his curiosity got the best of him but why the sudden interest in tailing her?"
His question made Ethan smile deeply before standing up and kept the files and Sunny’s picture on top of the table before walking up to the window.
It’s such a gloomy weather today but peaceful scenery after the heavy rainstorm yesterday,he folded his arms still contemplating on whether to tell Tyson the truth or not,he’d been the closest to him since he came back to the country but that still doesn’t change the fact that he’s working for his dad.
So,telling him about what he thinks of Hazel was like telling his dad about what’s he’s doing behind his back,not only would his dad get angry at him for finding his sister without his help, he’s going to go gaga if he finds out she’s from their enemy’s side,so,telling Tyson about Hazel right now was a bad idea,until he makes sure that his assumption about her is clear,he will have to leave him in the dark.
"Nothing much,I just want to find out something"He said turning to look back at him but he knew he wasn’t convinced with his answer,but did he care?No.
"I just want to make sure you know what you are doing,we are talking about the Knights here bro"Tyson advised coming closer to touch his shoulder,he knew that he was hiding something but he won’t force it out yet,until he’s willing to tell him about it.
He didn’t buy the idea of him keeping things from him, especially ever since the search for his mother and his sister started,not that he was suspecting but his sudden interest in their enemy’s family made him curious.
He knew the knights more than he did. Once they know that someone is prying into their life,they eliminate the person without turning a blank eye. His dad won’t like this but that would be all for now.
"Don’t worry,I will be careful, where’s dad?I haven’t seen him this morning?"He changed the topic,Tyson was growing on him and If it continues he’s afraid he’s going to slip.
"He went out few minutes ago,but will be back soon"
"Okay"He said, falling on top of his bed,taking his phone.
"I will be outside if you need me"Tyson said bowing before exiting his room.He gave out a breath of relief once he left.
Logging into his social media account,he went ahead to search for Hazel Blackwood,after knowing her last name from his investigations,he neay lost hope before he finally saw her,he sent her a friend request while saying a prayer hoping she would accept it.
His face contoured in sadness when he saw that it has been a year since she went online,like who the hell does that?
She always surprises him the more he gets to know of her, checking her page,she doesn’t have many pictures taken unlike the girls nowadays who dwell on tiktok and snapchat,she’s totally different.
He wanted to know her,no,he was intrigued and anxious to get to know her, She’s no fool not to figure out he’s not from her class,the least he got to know of the girls around here,they always go for his money once they got to know him,it wasn’t hard to know he’s Ethan Sinclair.
But Hazel has surprised him these few weeks of knowing him,there wasn’t a change in her attitude which made him curious,was she pretending not to know him or was she trying to play hard to get?
Was she as Innocent as she looked?
No,she isn’t innocent as long as she is with the Knights,someone as naive and innocent as her won’t easily fall prey to the Knights.
It’s either she’s there against her will seeing that they weren’t willing to expose her identity to the public or she’s there willingly.
Till today,the engagement to Zaiden still made him feel bothered especially since it has to do with her,he’s not attracted to her, he’s just worried for her sake. In case it finally turns out that she is his sister,it would be a terrible mistake if his sister got married to his enemy.
Besides,apart from Nathan being a total Jerk, he’s sure the elder brother was much worse than him seeing as he left her at the engagement with his lover.
Why would she still go ahead with the marriage if her fianceè was in love with another woman?
Why is she kept a secret from the public?
Moreover,how did she get involved with them in the first place?
Something was definitely wrong but he’s going to figure everything out,if eventually she’s his sister,he’s going to stop that wedding from being held.
