Elijah turned to take a last longing look at the sleeping Sophia who he saw another side of her today that had his mind going crazy at the thoughts of what to do with her.

She’s dangerous.

Really dangerous,especially now that she had the guts to hurt her loved ones just to go and have things done her way.

What he didn’t know when her uncle got her married to him was the fact that she was already a twisted human being that needed someone to pull up her crazy life on.

Not exactly was he regretting,he wasn’t and would never regret marrying her,she gave him something wonderful,Nathan.

As Much she’s crazy,but hasn’t gone to the extent of fully losing her mind there’s still a bit of humanity in there right?

He didn’t want to acknowledge the fact that she had totally lost control of her mind to that devil inside of her,she could have stabbed him with the knife had it been he and Nathan didn’t see that coming.

Tomorrow was a long day ahead,he didn’t even want to think about it,his grandpa would definitely make sure they got to the root if this matter to find out who committed murder in his house.

But was he willing to let them take Sophia away from him?

This question was what gave him insomnia these nights coupled with the fear of having to wake up in the middle of the night to attack them.

Hopefully,she didn’t kill his dad,not that she wouldn’t but he knew she listened to him about killing his old man which gives him the idea that his baby girl was still inside there,she could have killed the old man but she didn’t.

What are you doctors going to do this time once they find out what she did?It’s not like he’s going to actually tell them that she committed or let them know that she’s a cannibal,he just prays she doesn’t give them the idea.

Her issue was already taking a toll on him because he’s been lacking rest for days now, coupled with the pressure from his real mother’s side,his uncle won’t give him breathing space.

He heard the door closed and knew it was Nathan,he went to take care of the cctv making sure there won’t be any evidence for the police once they come tomorrow for an investigation.

He turned to gaze at her,she was sleeping peacefully that one would think she’s one of the most innocent beings without actually knowing that she’s dangerous,far more dangerous than one could think.

Sadly,her relatives are dead including her uncle,he got caught in an accident which claimed his life leaving her alone in this harsh world,he wondered what exactly turned her into this?

For all he knew was that she saw her father kill her mother right in front of her at her tender age,that’s the only thing he knew before she was left in the custody of her uncle when her dad got sentenced to life imprisonment.

"Dad"Nathan called his attention over to him,a skeptical look on his face even though he was confused as to what road to take after what happened.

"Did you take care of everything?"Elijah asked, dropping the glass of wine he was holding on the table while walking to sit on a seat.

He noticed the tired look on Nathan’s face,he was worried about his mom,why won’t he?

The woman has been the only female he got attached to and loved,as much as he’s a player he hasn’t seen him interact much with the opposite gender.

Would he be against the idea of taking her somewhere far away from here?

"Grandpa asked for you two at dinner?"he said,and only got a sigh from his dad,why would the old man act like he cares when actually he doesn’t?

The best thing he could do right now was stop faking the concern because it’s irritating,he’s only doing that just to leave a good impression on his favourite daughter in-law,Hazel

Talking of her,Nathan didn’t see her nor Zaiden at dinner,which makes him wonder what exactly was going on.

As his mother said earlier,she didn’t do anything yet to Hazel,so what exactly stopped her from coming down to dinner?Including Zaiden,he wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone when he walked past the sitting room.

But why does it bother you if she came down for dinner or not?

"Are you alright?"Elijah asked, watching his face as the worried lines became more noticeable,he wondered what was bothering him for it to show on his face because his son was hardly the type to show his emotions except when he’s bothered about something he liked.

"I’m okay"He blurted out forcing a smile on his face to calm his dad down,he didn’t want him thinking he’s affected by what his mother was passing through,doing that might affect him pretty bad.

He has a soft spot that only him and his mother can see,so it was a bad idea telling him what he was bothered about.

"What are we going to do about mother?"He asked, watching his mother’ chest rising and falling,she looked peaceful but he knew it won’t be for long.

Would she be back to herself once she wakes up or would she still be the same?

"I don’t know son,I’m confused already"Elijah said tiredly,his hands supporting his chin while looking at Sophia,his first priority.

"I didn’t find the body"Nathan said,,disappointment was written on his face,but what would finding the body prove?

His mother was a fucking cannibal and a murderer and there’s no changing that, but still, he still wanted to protect her.

He needs to find the body to hid it,he wondered if the rain would wash away her finger prints on the deceased body because he did everything to make sure the trace wouldn’t lead the constables to them,so hopefully,the rain would wash away her handprints on the guards body.

"It’s going to be hard asking her where exactly body is seeing as she’s still secretive about what’s going through her mind,she thinks we are her enemies Nathan"Elijah said,his voice cracking while Nathan placed his hand on his shoulder in a consoling manner."she nearly killed us" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"She’s just having a hard time dad,she will come around once she wakes up,we just have to pray that’s what we should do"Nathan advised,trying to hide the knot forming in his tummy if eventually his mother never goes back to her senses.

He could handle it,it’s going to be hard but he couldn’t say the same about his dad, he’s definitely going to kill himself if anything happens to her or if she was taken away from him,he loves his mother.

"And if she doesn’t?"He asked standing up to walk in the centre of the room"I’m no fool Nathan you clearly saw her,does she look like your mother,that thing inside of her is becoming more stronger"

"And what exactly are you trying to do?"Nathan lost his cool,his dad was behaving as if he’s having a rethink on what he’s going to do about his mother,he’s definitely not going to take any bullshit from him, if he thinks he’s going to sit and watch him take his mother to some mental hospital.",You wanna take her to some mental hospital,you know her father,she’s going to kill you once she’s out"he said,knowing fully well his mother’s disgust for hospitals talkmore of keeping her in one.

"Then what am I going to do?it’s not that easy son"

"We do nothing,"Nathan said calmly.

"You saw her right? She’s a fucking cannibal,you could wake up the next day and hear she ate me up"Elijah explained,his fear was growing more towards her.

This was a difficult situation but his son was making it seem as if it was just a piece of cake when it’s not,how could he be relaxed in every serious situation.

"I say we do nothing!she’s going to wake up being herself!"Nathan yelled.

"Fine,I’m sorry"Elijah apologized when he realized what he just did,he couldn’t believe he was selfishly thinking about himself when they could plan together on how to fix this.

It wasn’t entirely easy on his part,he was the one staying in the same room with her and her tricky being had deceived him once,what’s stopping her from doing it again once she came back.

His ringing phone caught his attention,as he looked at the caller,his uncle,his real mother’s brother.

"What?"he snapped at him,trying to calm himself down,it was such a bad time to call but he couldn’t ignore his call.

"I had a bad day,can I call you later? I’m not in a good mood"he said and after some minutes he cut the call and threw his phone.

"Father you are being such a pussy,don’t worry she’s going to be fine,I promise"Nathan said patting his shoulder"I’m gonna go back to my room,call me when she’s up"he said walking to his mom to cover her properly with the sheets before kissing her cheeks.

"Goodnight"he told his dad before leaving his room,leaving his dad with his psychotic mom.

Elijah gave out a frustrated sigh before walking up to the sleeping Sophia,taking a towel to clean her face,he smiled and kissed her lips.

"I’m sorry my angel,I’m so sorry"he apologized,his hands grazzing her cheeks lightly,as he fell into the sheets,pushing her to his arms as he fell asleep.

As much as he’s still having second thoughts towards her staying here in the family house,he still couldn’t let her go to some mental institution.

He’s going to cure his angel,whatever it is she’s passing through they will definitely go through it together.

Her fight was now his to battle on.
