365 Days To Love-Chapter 89 - EIGHTY-NINE:What Mary Wants,Mary Gets!
"Oh,you are awake"Mia said, delighted with relief washing through her when she opened the hospital door to Arianna’s ward to see her already seated down staring blankly into space.
Whatever it is that transpired between her and the second young master of the Knights seemed to leave a huge impact on her because she hasn’t seen her this way other than the times Micheal was around.
Keeping the few items she brought from the hotel where they were staying ,she touched her temple to check if she was having a fever before sitting down in the seat facing her bed.
"Where did you go?"Arianna asked,her tone laced with tiredness which Mia noticed and told her to lie down and talk which she hesitated before complying with her order.
"I went to bring your sweater,it’s raining heavily tonight. ’’She told her with a smile as Arianna nodded her head before going back to her solemn mood.
"What did the doctor say?"She was not interested but had to know,she had been skipping meals lately because she had no appetite to eat these days.
It was obvious to Mia that she was punishing herself for what she did to Zaiden,but Arianna was one stubborn fly even when she heard that the broken up s she didn’t take the news lightly and walked out on her after advising her to let Zaiden go.
I mean,it was pretty obvious that the man wanted nothing to do with her again seeing that he was engaged and not willingly to call off the engagement when she came back and besides, she didn’t understand what exactly was Ariana’s mission coming back here.
She was here for some contract with the company and she should stick to that if she didn’t want trouble coming her way,she couldn’t imagine the look on the director’s face once he got to know that she was still keen on her mission to get Zaiden for herself.
He was already angry at the fact that the first day they arrived here,that she had a scandal with him for appearing at his engagement party which made Micheal’s company furious at why she was planning to behave like that.
Nevertheless,the agency was hot in their neck now and she had been given strict orders to report her movements back without her knowledge.
"Nothing much, you just need the rest"Mia said,a relieved sigh escaped her lips at the words of the doctor,the last thing she needed was to have a serious health issue here.
The manager sent a guard down here for her protection and further surveillance on her after the issue with Zaiden,making it hard for her to leave without orders from the head and also for protection against reporters.
"What really happened?"Mia got anxious,more than anxious to know exactly what transpired between the both of them, Arianna was confusing to understand.
Firstly,it has been the first son, Zaiden and now the second son, Nathan.
"I don’t want to talk about it"She blurted out with a cold face which gave Mia the idea that whatever that led to her being here really affected her seeing as she was in a dull mood.
She won’t talk about it, that’s Arianna being secretive,so much for being a Gemini.
Even when it’s obvious that she knew about Micheal’s abuse on her but she always denies anytime she was asked about the bruises.
"Are you hungry?"Mia persisted even when she knew the lady was in the mood to talk to her,she cared about her but she made it difficult here to help her.
"Can I be left alone?’’Arianna almost yelled at her,that’s it for having an annoying assistant like Mia,she’s such a curious ass and she knew she was doing this just to get her to talk about what happened so she could report back to their director.
She actually thought she didn’t knew about her reporting their every movement to him,she couldn’t entirely blame her she was trying to keep her ontrack here in country Z so that she wouldn’t ruin her image but still it hurt that she was keeping it a secret,so much for her claiming to be her friend.
Mia wanted to talk but her phone stopped her,Ariana knew it was the director calling because she noticed the way her composure changed before she excused herself to the further end of the room to take the calls.
She sighed, turning to lie at her sides while staring at the IV in her palm, suddenly her mind raced back to the recent incident.
What would Nathan think of her the next time they see each other?
She prayed she would never get to see him until her time here was up,the embarrassment was humiliating for someone like her and knowing who he was,he won’t relent to use it against her.
She had earlier asked Mia what the doctor said,she was afraid if he had gone ahead to talk further about the reason why she suddenly passed out.
Nathan was unlike Zaiden,Zaiden was a player but he wasn’t that open about it but his brother was a full time casanova and she prays she doesn’t get herself involved with him knowing fully well the plans his dad has for her,they were just trying to use her.
Do they think she’s stupid?
The last thing she would do was allow them to use her to play tricks on her man,she would get Zaiden back using her antics,she’s better off without Nathan’s and his dad.
She heard Mia calling her attention back which got her angry because she was annoyed at her,no,she was annoyed at everyone.
"What?!"she snapped, turning to look at her,the words that came out of her mouth had her face change and her heart stop for a while.
"Micheal is coming over"

"Ahh!so annoying?"Mary yelled when she slammed the car hard against the hood, her bodyguard came out rushing with an umbrella knowing the temper of the young miss and in no time soon,she would face him for being late with the umbrella.
"You are late!’’she snapped at him,hitting her billion dollar clutch at him while he apologized,she rolled her eyes at him before walking inside with him strolling behind her.
She threw her clutch on top of the couch before slumping down on it taking her heel and throwing at the guard who dodge it.
" Mary"Mr.Brown called, walking in with a glass of wine in his hands,his eyes holding a warning towards his daughter over what she just did.
It was obvious she got her bad temper from her late mom because she wasn’t anything like him except for the physical appearance.
"How was the date?"he asked knowing quite well that judging from the look in her face that she messed it up or that the man was at fault,but it seems the latter was the case becuse she’s annoyed as fuck.
Maybe he made a mistake by agreeing on this blind date judging from the way the young man was behaving earlier,had it been for his friendship with his dad he would have walked out with Mary leaving his nasty ass behind.
"Dad!he’s such a total jerk and I’m definitely not marrying that idiot!"she laced out her frustration throwing her clutch at the maid who was at her side,who caught it before it fell to the ground knowing full well what punishment was coming her way if eventually the clutch fell to the floor.
"Fine"He said touching his head in frustration,this had always been the constant drama with her,Nathan is the fourth to be introduced to her,the other suitors ran for their live after she insulted them for being so ugly and not up to her level,Mary was so picky just like her mom.
She was excited and didn’t argue much with him when he brought up the idea about her going on a blind date,simply because she always loved the family and now her love has turned to hatred after what just happened.
It seems as if trying to find a suitor to marry her was hard,he’s going to leave that for her stepmother.
"Uh so annoying!I’m going to bed dad"she said standing up but stopped in her tracks when she heard what her dad said.
"Remember your mother is coming back tomorrow"
"Stepmother father"she corrected him,already hating the day that awaits her,what’s the use of her dad telling her about this,he’s such a mood spoiler!
"Mary Brown! Enough of it already!"he yelled standing up to face her, he’s fed up with her attitude already.
"You are raising your voice because of that..."
"Mary!!"he said, raising his hands to slap her but it stopped in the mid air,his senses came back when he realized what he just did.
"Do it, what’s stopping you?"she dared, challenging him.
"I’m sorry baby girl"he apologized, coming closer but she pulled herself away before he could touch her.
"Get out!’’she pushed her personal maid away from her sight while storming angrily to her room.
Today was such a bad idea!
She got stood up by Nathan and then her dad added further to her frustration by talking about her stepmom who was definitely going to be back tomorrow.
Why is her life harsh towards her?
Nathan?
He dared to look down on her,it seems he didn’t know her well.
"Just wait Nathan,I will have you begging on your feet the next time we see"she whispered to herself,the thunderstorm struck, marking the promise she made.
He just made a huge mistake. He doesn’t know it yet, but he made a grave mistake leaving her on their blinddate.
